I'd hate for Santino to drop his comedy act, his goofiness is what I look forward to. With that said, however, it irritates me that he's Tag-Team Champions with Kozlov. Most likely due to how Santino's character has been for the past few years, I just can't take him seriously as a champion. Especially with the whole Tamina/Santino romance going on. I was actually slightly pulling for the Uso's to win last night. They came out with a bang when the Hart Dynasty were champions... only to be pushed aside while thrown together tag teams fight over the belts. Whether or not the whole "Rehire Cena or You're Out" angle is a set-up, the way the WWE has handled Cena since his "firing" ruins it for me. It still baffles me why they even bothered wasting the three second it took to create "Juan Cena" when John's just going to be on Raw every week basically in the capacity of if he were still "an employee". It's annoying that the week after he comes and gives his sickening extended goodbye that was filled with "emotion" on the Raw after Survivor Series, he's back on Raw attacking the Nexus and causing havoc. What about your poor mom, John? Or your niece/nephew (I really didn't care so I can't remember) that was just born that you missed? It just doesn't make any sense that they have Cena come out and say how much he's missed his family and how he's going to go see them... yet not miss even one Raw since he was "fired". The WWE has passed over so many chances to make Cena even slightly more serious as a character, they've given him less over-exaggerated promos, they've had him act more serious at times, they've cut down on his "jokes". However, after hearing Cena rip off "Step Brothers" (which made no sense, since Cena's fanbase isn't even old enough to have seen the movie) last night, I believe they're going to pass over this attempt as well. The "humor" and "jokes" the writers come up with is completely idiotic, even for humor being aimed towards children. Cena is fully capable of developing more of a serious role while still being a fan (and child) favorite. The only props I'll really give Cena since Survivor Series was when he came out on Raw and asked for all the children and women to chant "Let's go Cena!" and every guy over 18 to chant "Cena sucks!". I've always been a fan of Punk, so I was sad to hear he was out for an extended amount of time after being traded to Raw. However, he's been pretty solid at the commentary table. Sure, he isn't perfect, but it's definitely a breath of fresh air after having only Jerry and Cole for years. I definitely prefer him over Todd or Stryker from Smackdown. Speaking of Smackdown, I had been wondering for a while if Raw would ever get a third commentator since Cole starting doing Smackdown as well. That's the reason I actually thought J.R. would throw a curveball at everyone and announce that he's coming back to Raw permanently after he showed up at Old School night.
