  1. I will agree with you if you remove "knee brace is" from your statement.
  2. You should be deeply ashamed. Ashemed...Yes...Wrong...No...
  3. That's a crappy thing to say. I agree that it may be a crappy thing to say but what if most of the problems on offense are related to Flacco. Remember, the Ravens floundered behind Kyle Boller for years. I will never have patience like that again for the QB position. I would really like to see what Mallett can do. I can not believe that he can be much worse. So far this season (thru 8 games) he has a whopping 6 TD's which ranks his at 31st. It would be worse but the QB's with fewer TD's have missed games due to injuries.
  4. So what has changed? The offense generated 274 yard of offense with 95 yard coming on the only TD scored by the offense. The Defense scored a TD as did the Special Teams unit. The Ravens Offense is anemic and Flacco is just terrible. I know I should not say this but I was hoping he hurt himself on that slide (if you can call that a slide). I did not want him hurt..hurt. I just wanted to see what Mallett could do.
  5. This team has a lot of problems, lets name them. #1 - the offensive line is in shambles. I believe Stanley has now missed 4 games (Ravens lost all 4), Yanda has missed games, and Wanger has missed games. The players that have not missed games have been terrible. #2 - Flacco has been terrible even when he has time, which is not often. There is no excuse for all the back foot throws. He needs to step up and take ownership of his poor play. #3 - When Flacco gets time and is not terrible, the offense either drops passes or doesn't get separation. They are really missing Steve Smith Sr. which details a whole other problem. When a team is missing a 37 year old receiver than the front office has not done their job. #4 - Pass rush or should I say the lack thereof. I really would not beat on the defense. They kept it close while spending a majority of the time on the field. I would be concerned about speed on defense. They look slow.
  6. Go luck getting the 6...
  7. The only thing that was going to get me to watch this game was Ryan Mallett. It would have been interesting to see if the offense was just as flat with Mallett under center as it is with Flacco.
  8. John...Is that you?
  9. Since Ray Lewis retired in 2013, the ravens have gone 26 and 27 and the Ravens are on their 5th Offensive Coordinator in less than 4 years, Cameron (dismissed 12/10/12), Caldwell (dismissed 1/1/14), Kubiak (left 1/18/15), Trestman (dismissed 10/10/16), and now Mornhenwig. Maybe the problem extends beyond the OC position. Maybe, just maybe, John Harbaugh has no idea what he's doing. In 8 plus years, he still can not manage personnel, the game, or the clock. He is pretty good at doing press conferences and telling us they they need to get better. I wish someone would throw tons of money at me for mediocrity.
  10. It has probably already been said but I will say it again. Having your right handed/footed place kicker line up to the right of center for a field goal is almost as stupid as accepting a penalty and giving the opposing team another shot at a first down. It did not fool anyone. If that was not bad enough, Harbaugh blamed Gilmore for the play not working. What a jerk.
  11. It could just as easily be said that we should be 1-4 or even 0-5.
  12. I don't believe the players don't try to win. Its a lack of coaching. Harbaugh is horrible. completely abandoning the run game when its working, no balance offense whatsoever. keeping a ST coach who constantly gives up big plays and has a penalty on every punk/kick return. passing the ball 90% of the time even tho Joe has no time to do anything before 2 or 3 guys are in his face. theres things good coaches do to neutralize that. like run the ball so defensive line cant just sprint to the qb, like leave RBs in to block or chip with a TE, or run a couple draws or screens. Harbaugh does nothing! he just continues to throw throw throw and expect Joe to make something happen when he cant even drop back before there is 2 guys running after him. Not to mention his in-game decisions that have cost us the last 2 games. Its coaching! the talent is there, its up to the head coach to do the rest PERIOD! How about a screen? It's terrible. The opposing defense is in attack mode and Trestman does not even think to set up a screen pass. The play calling is atrocious. I do not know how these guys continue to get jobs. Maybe they just choke on gameday.
  13. I'm not sure the calls for heads are really calls for heads today. I think history has demonstrated that little good comes from in-season changes. The Ravens were extremely lucky (in many ways) to win a super bowl after firing their OC but I think I am not alone when I say, that there should be some coaching vacancy's if this team continues to digress. The offense under Harbaugh has ranked at 18th (based on yards, over his tenure) while this is not at all good, the fact that they are currently worse than that should at least throw a cloud over his future.
  14. Harbaugh is part of the problem. Does not know offense. Does not know defense. Hell, he's a Special Teams coach but he does not seem to know special teams. He make bad decisions (why pay Tucker all that money to have him throw passes? Then there was last weeks stupid decision to accept the penalty when your defense held after a turnover). Let's continue, he can not manage the clock, he's terrible at challenges, he does not make good choices when it comes to coaches, and he does not get the most out of his players. To me, that makes him a terrible head coach. This is his 9th year with the team. It may be time but lets say we keep him and he brings in another [ profanity deleted] Offensive Coordinator. Then what? Flacco will have his 5th OC in 6 years and the Ravens will continue to disappoint.
  15. The only reason Kubiak came to Baltimore was because of Harbaugh - Kubiak said that. You're just making stuff up at this point..... You are dead wrong. Kubiak was a front office hire, and forced on Harbs. That was absolutely NOT his call. I read it the same way. Harbaugh and Kubiak put a big smiley face on it after the fact but it really appeared to be a front office deal.
  16. I don't have a problem with anything you said. Trestman has just fired himself. If not this season, then offseason. All of that while Steve and OZ is watching above. I only disagree with the Flacco assessment. I think he may be above average but not elite. I say this because other than Kubiack he has had 3 terrible OC's. The ravens don't promote from within anymore so they don't really have a system. In the NFL consistency is everything. I say that should dump Harbaugh and Trestman. A head coach should be responsible for his personnel and his decision making. Based on what I've seen, the Ravens should make a run at Josh McDaniel. He has been in the league for 9 years. He had a $120 M contract. Time to stop blaming "Just" the OC. He needs to be a playmaker and read the defense, step into throws, and be accurate with ball. 30/46 210 yards against a terrible defense Deep down I do not disagree but good coaches make the best of the players they have and we don't have any good offensive coaches. We don't seem to run quick slants, we don't disguise anything, we don't run different plays from the same formations. Hell, we don't even even set up screens when the defense is getting overly aggressive which would help a struggling O-line. Yes, Flacco can check out but to me the problem is what he can check too. Everything the Ravens run is vanilla so big deal, he can check from one stupid play to another stupid play. It's not like the he's the one drawing up the plays.

  18. I personally think the guy was a class act in a low class league. I also think he lost a step or two but I am so sick of Harbaugh. He can't call offense, he can't call defense, he can not manage the clock, he makes bad decisions during the game, loses most challenges, talks out of both sides of his mouth, than has the nerve to say that it's a competitive league. It may be competitive for the players but not the coaches. I see a lot of similarities between Brian Billick and John Harbaugh. They both recycle coaches from the pool of failures. I can not for the life of me understand why Trestman is the OC. I wish they would have made Kubiak the head coach and let Harbaugh go. Billick made it 9 years as head coach of the Ravens and this is Harbaugh's 9th year. In my opinion, it's time to part ways with John. In 8 years, the only time the offense had any spark was under Kubiak. Here are the Offensive rankings from 2008 to 2015 (18, 13, 22, 15, 16, 29, 12, 14). They are currently ranked 19th. Over 8 years, the average ranking for yards is 18th. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. I truly believe that one of Flacco's biggest challenges is having to adjust to all the incompetent OC's. In the last 5 years, he has had to deal with Cam Cameron (fired), Jim Caldwell (fired), Gary Kubiak (hired away by John Elway), Marc Trestman (firing date to be announced). Anyone that expects a top 10 offense is expecting something that has never happened under Harbaugh or Billick. You have to go back to 1997.
  19. I have heard all this before. The Ravens don't have the coaches, players, or leadership to be an excellent offense. Some coaching staffs get the most out of the talent they have, the Ravens seem to get the least.
  20. I was going to post but I see you beat me to the punch. In 20 years the Ravens have had 1 good OC and we lost him to Denver. It would be nice to have a playmaker at a skilled position. The ravens have no one. As for Shareece Wright, we may be better with 10 defensive players on the field. At least there would be a chance that someone would make a play or at the very least, a tackle.
  21. Kickers would rather have the offense ball - a used ball is easier to kick than the hard "K" ball (That's why you see kickers pressing the ball on the ground to try and soften it up). I agree with the decision to go for 2. You're at home, you have momentum at the time. You tie the game there. And you always accept the penalty if it takes the team out of field goal range. It was a 42 yard FG before the penalty - would have been a 54 yard FG after. You blame Harbaugh for the decision but not the defense for giving up 24 yards on 3rd & 17? Let's be honest - the defense choked on that play and choked on the final drive. Players were out of position, coverage was bad & ZERO pass rush. Not the head coach, not the DC - the players - CHOKED and didn't get it done. Period. We are going to continue to disagree. Kicker only practice with "K" balls. Asking a kicker to kick a 57 yard FG with a ball that they never use is bad coaching. When Tucker said the kicking the Offense ball is like kicking a chocolate bar I do not believe that he thinks kicking chocolate bars make good footballs. As for going for 2, the Ravens struggle to score in the red zone as it is. The league average is a little less than 50%. Last year the Ravens were successful 25% of the time. When you are all but guaranteed 1 pt, going for 2 with a less than 50% chance, probably much less, seems foolish especially with so much time still on the clock. Lastly, Harbaugh explanation for accepting the penalty a giving the Raiders another shot at a 1st down was based on his gut feeling that points were going to be at a premium but he gives up a definite 1 for a less than 50% chance at 2. So what was it? To me, it was bad coaching.
  22. John Harbaugh does not seem to be much of an x's and o's guy. Feel free to beat me up but I was not impressed with the Jacksonville game when he ran Tucker onto the field to attempt a 57 yard field goal as time ran down and no time to switch out the offense ball for the kicker ball. There is a huge difference between a fully inflated "K" ball and an offense ball (just ask Tom Brady). Anyway, a Special teams coach should know this. The 57 yard attempt was right down the middle but short. The Ravens got lucky with a penalty and Harbaugh got away with his mistake. His decisions during today's games were worse. The decision to go for 2 was bad (it was too early) but the decision to give Oakland another chance to keep a drive alive when the defense stopped them after Flacco and the O-line coughed the ball up on their own 30 was mind numbing. I put it right there with Tom Caughlin decision to throw on 3 down with 47 seconds left against Dallas who, as we know, had no timeouts. Both decisions cost their teams a win. BTW, when did holding a team to a FG become a bad thing especially when you turned the ball over already in FG range? What a moron.
  23. I wish I got payed to suck.
  24. Good guy...maybe. Team player...possibly. Done...Absolutely.
  25. The worst thing to happen to Matt Schaub was Joe Flacco's injury. He could have milked Biscotti for another 3 years but to the untrained eye, he looked done. He's a happening waiting for a mistake.
