  1. don't know how many people share this sentiment and idc if it sounds selfish but it absolutely sent a 50 cal bullet straight through my heart when i heard ed reed decided to coach but not with the ravens
  2. cant believe more people arent roasting his "im gonna go home and let my hair down a bit" lmao!!! jokes aside as others have stated he's a nice guy and all but has been done for at least the past 3 years
  3. im just wondering who we let go with him and potentially pitta coming back?
  4. i remember reading he was already cleared by the docs and the decision was up to him?
  5. i really love his quote %u201CGod took me around the world to bang me up so I could appreciate it more being home. Ima give you guys my all. I love my city."
  6. im really starting to get a sinking feeling that the hereditary degenerative knee issue they talked about breshad and his father having is going to be an issue
  7. "can ravens really go 8-0 the rest of the season?" christ i hope not....i was starting to like the idea of a top 10 draft pick its a lost season anyway
  8. well, considering that at the time of our inception i was about 2 years old (born in 94) i guess you could say i havent been a fan that long in the grand scheme of things. believe it or not, it was my soccer loving father whos actually from mexico that got me into football. around the time of our first super bowl win, he was an owner of a sports bar called torinos (changed names like 3 times since he left). they had like some of the biggest screened tvs around, and i remember watching some ravens games there. he always was a ravens fan, and seeing how hyped everyone got when we won the super bowl really piqued my interest. id say maybe around the time we traded for air mcnair was when i started really following the ravens, which led to me being a huge football fan in general. id buy all the draft magazines and read about prospects and whatnot, and everything about the sport intrigued me. i had played soccer and baseball my whole life, and was definitely pretty good at soccer, but i always played a lot more physically than other players. that led to me giving up baseball and playing lacrosse, and i loved the contact and knocking someone on their behind. i also played some football in high school, and it was cool to play linebacker and live out my madden fantasies. i would definitely say the highlight of my ravens fandom was our playoff run and subsequent super bowl win in 2012. just all the emotion surrounding it with it being ray lewis's "last ride" and whatnot made it that much better when we finally won. that game in denver, and specifically that pass to jacoby, is one i will remember for the rest of my life. shoot, i was literally almost in tears after that game!
  9. i was wondering the same but apparently he said something along the lines of not being interested in coaching anymore after the colts if someone can verify that... i know this sounds like a pipe dream or something, but considering his interest in coaching combined with the......"subpar" play of our secondary, i wonder what the odds would be of bringing mr. reed back to town, maybe as a defensive intern or something like that.
  10. i made this account in the beginning of preseason after being an avid reader of this site for years, and was excited about our teams chances this year and contributing to the discussion...however, since the season started, it has been one face palm moment after another, and i couldnt muster the will to talk about what i was seeing lol. now granted, im relatively young (21), but have been watching the ravens since around our first super bowl win. one thing i can say looking at this team compared to teams of years past is that we truely lack an identity on defense. after suffering through a browns-like carousel of qbs for a few years, id say that position as well as the offense as a whole is in relatively decent shape, but does not have a defense that can step up to the plate. the personality of our defense has often mirrored the personality of the defensive coordinators, which i think is apparent now more than ever. in regards to tanking, it is obviously not in the ravens nature to consider such a thing, but our future prospects for this season look pretty damn bleak to say the least. the pressure will be on the FO when we are picking in the top 10 this upcoming draft to not have a major whiff. also, a little off topic, but speaking of top draft picks, does anyone else vaguely remember reading an article a few months ago about some weird degeneritive condition or something of the sort that breshad perriman has as well as his father? and could that possibly be contributing to him missing a little more than "a few days" with his knee sprain?
  11. on top of that, with the way the salary cap works in the nfl in their attempt to encourage competition, it has become increasingly difficult to really create lasting success. i think that just goes to show how lucky the ravens are to have the front office and scouting department we do who consistently have above average drafts. as has been said before, drafting college players can most definitely be a crapshoot at times because of the many factors that go into a player successfully transitioning from the college to pro game. the success of said players, in my opinion, correlates with the skill of the teams front office, which is why you don't see us cutting recent draft picks like a lot of other teams.
  12. breshad can study the playbook all he wants, but unfortunately nothing can replicate live, full speed practice as well as the chemistry building that brings with it. no matter when bp ends up being cleared for full contact, hes going to definitely be behind the 8 ball in that regard. that being said, i just pray that when he is eventually cleared, his speed wont be affected because with his lack of practice that looks like the only tool he will be able to bring to the table, at least initially.
  13. i agree with vikings and bills most definitely....vikings are absolutely on the up and up got a solid young core on offense and defense as well as a decent coaching staff, and the bills had a top defense even before rex got there...number one in the league this year isnt outside the realm of possibility imo. couple that with some absolute studs on offense and what i think is going to be a very good qb in their system with tyrod time, dont be surprised to see them pushing NE and that pretty boy up north for numero uno in the afc east!
  14. oh dag it looks like they didnt let you post that link haha....i did manage to track it down its that song wanna know? with the undertaker theme song? lol looks like it came out while i was incarcerated probably why i never heard it
  15. im curious what the general consensus is as far as giving denarius moore the once over? obviously a deep threat that looks like he has some pr experience in the league
