I think there's a good argument on either side. Suggs is getting older but I think he would still be a viable part at least for another year barring injuries. The good news (if you want to look at it this way) is that we so are needy in so many positions that we could hit a home run either way. Also heard Alexander had to come out with a hamstring injury so that may or may not matter.

Forgot to mention Treadwell would also be a better pick. More and likely could add another score to our games than would be with our current crop of receivers.

I've said before that I don't follow college football so most of my information comes from these boards and watching a little tape, although quite frankly, I'm not quite sure what it is I'm supposed to be looking for. Yeah, I know, pathetic, right. However, my problem with taking Bosa or for that matter any pass rusher with the 6th pick is that there are so many more immediate needs imo. For all the comparisons to Watt or whoever; as good as Watt or Bosa are, they can still only do so much. For instance as a pass rusher, Bosa can hurry, disrupt or sack the qb, but someone like Alexander (if he's as good as advertised) might usually shut down that one side of the field. Might it be better to try and go back up and get a pass rusher after the first pick depending on who's available. Where am I wrong? Neggers may fire when ready.

What I got from Harbs was that he may have taken the reins away from Pees a bit after the first half, or that he insisted on changing their scheme. To me that's a ray of light for next season.

I've never had a big brother, but Ray's character would be what I would want in one. If I survived growing up that is.

If Alexander is all that good of a cover cb then I would prefer him over Treadwell. My reason is that if Jimmy gets injured again, or even Wright, then I think more damage will be done to us there than if a WR goes down, say SSS or BP. Especially in this pass happy league. I'm sick of putting up points just to try and keep up with the other team let alone go ahead. DEFENSE!

I think that Pagano going after Monachino might be just what was needed for Harbs and Ozzie to finally get rid of Pees. That is if they treat it like a business decision. On the other hand, if Harbs wants to stick to the 'I'm not going to stand in the way of my coaches mentality', then we're screwed and in my opinion would make his own judgment look questionable. I said questionable. Not necessarily wrong. BTW: I'm actually glad that Pags seems to be keeping his HC job. Let's see what he can do with hopefully a better GM, whoever that may be.

I had stated in an earlier post that I wondered if his foot had completely healed. Something he had said in an older interview this past season, or tried to avoid a question regarding his injury. Can't remember right now. If he says he was playing hurt then he was playing hurt. I'm not going to call him a liar. Makes sense as far as this season went; we had people off the field with injuries so of course we would have some on the field with injuries too. Can't wait to see him play next season so we can get our shut down corner back.

I would agree except that Sr already plays like he's 4 years younger than his age. The better thing to do would be to spread the ball around more and limit the chances of him getting injured again as well as letting other players develop.

The passes he did drop were usually not in his catching radius. Also, there was this guy named Smith S.r. who came on board and got targeted much more than any other receiver on the team. I wonder how much of Marlon's blocking contributed to yards gained either on the run or passing. What people sometimes forget is that there is more going on than meets the eye when it comes to driving down the field. I agree, Marlon will be on another team and will do well barring injuries.

What a conundrum to have, wanting the higher pick or beating the Steelers. Have to admit, feels really good to win. Hadn't felt this good on a Sunday for awhile now, but is it worth it dropping down in the draft. Yes, especially beating Pittsburgh. Just have to trust Ozzie to do his best.

Whether he's being force fed the ball or whether he's a #1 or #4, he's making the most of the opportunities given him based on his abilities and doing a good job of it. Can't ask for more than that. I think that's what this thread is about (correct me if I'm wrong). As for Marlon, I said before that I'm a Marlon fan; still am. I was hoping that with SSS out that he and Aiken would be given more looks, and improve, but Brown went down soon after SSS. Also, most of the opportunities he did get weren't that catchable. Not so much blaming Joe, but I was hoping that they would be able to work on their chemistry more when Sr went down. With all the wrs we now have, he may be gone.

Why on earth would anyone trade Harbs for Billick? Wasn't Billick a major instigator in getting rid of Dilfer and thus beginning our rein of so so qbs starting with Elvis thank goodness he's left the building Grbac? Dilfer might not be Flacco but he did have chemistry with the team and did lead our offense to a championship. Why would you break that up? And what about after the championship after 2000? Nothing, that's what. No playoffs until Harbs got here, and Lewis was there with Billick all along his tenure. Not putting down Ray, but how can we say or imply that Ray was responsible for Harb's success when he was also with Billick during his lean years as well?

I love Harb's use of scripture even if James wasn't reffering to football at the time. To stay positive after all that's been thrown at him and this team speaks volumes as to his character. Also, he doesn't point fingers or cry about what might have been. A humble man is a better man. JMO

I realize that this thread is meant to be towards the Seahawks game, but as was mentioned earlier; if Pees or whoever else hasn't been fired yet, then it looks like he or they probably won't be. A lot of other factors remain to be accomplished in order to become a winning team again. Some that the Ravens can improve themselves and some they cannot, but in my opinion, Pees needs to go in order for this defense to be great again. Then and only then we will become great.

The good: Top draft picks in each round. (Time to rebuild). The bad: Having to wait for this season to finally end. The ugly: The possible reality that Pees will be back next season.

I think if Clausen plays, the Ravens may find themselves in more of a pickle than they already are. Sorry.

Is Waller out for the year? I believe he is, but not sure. There was talk earlier in the season regarding him possibly converting to TE. The season is what it is. Time to let it run its course and look forward to next year. Maybe we can use the draft and begin to rebuild into another championship team. Just might take some time to get there.

Wonder what woke up the D all of a sudden. Whatever the reason, I hope they carry it over into next year. With that, a top 5 (maybe #2 or 3) draft pick (preferably left tackle), a healthy Perriman and everybody else back healthy, we should be a force to be reckoned with. Also, as it's been pointed out, we should also do well in the rest of the draft as well, depending on what Ozzie does with his picks.

As much as I would like to see us get a CB or pass rusher, I'm thinking LT will be the first pick taken. I admit I don't follow college football so I'm not familiar with who may be available, but I do know that we have to protect that blind side. Might as well do it with a quality pick. Joe's probably got a good 5- 6 years left at least. Oh, and let's not forget that our first dynasty started with a LT named Ogden. I don't think we were ever sorry for that pick. As far as Monroe is concerned, I wish him the best, but even if he does well next season, I still say we go LT next draft. JMO.

If there was any hope whatsoever of making the playoffs, it would have been dependent upon Perriman's return. It would have opened up so much with him as a threat if he had been ready to play. Not that a lot of other factors would have had to come into play as well, like you know, playing better, better coaching decisions, losing streak for all other AFC teams. Stuff like that. Time to move on.

A win is a win despite how well or how poorly you played. It should not be taken away after you've worked so hard for it.
