  1. If Kiper's picking Elliott then that means we're probably not getting him. Shame cause I was hoping we would. He would have brought so much to an offense that was ranked 26th in rushing besides giving migraines to opposing dcs. Originally I was hoping to get him in a trade down. Wouldn't that still be sweet. Just don't see that happening now. Yeah, if these are BOLD picks, then what pray tell are the obvious ones?
  2. For what it is worth, this is one of the best post I've read on these boards in some time. As well as the other recent ones from Winchester regarding Stanley today. Good info, well stated and well thought out. Makes me wonder why Tunsil is so much highly rated over Stanley when perhaps it might be the other way around. I know Winchester has taken heat at times for some of his past posts, but I really enjoyed this.
  3. There's a chance we don't make it to the SB this year, but taking any one of EE, VH3, Bosa, Buckner or Jack (though that knee scares me) would be a big step in the right direction. At least with Elliott we can put up enough points to keep a lead. I expect our defense to actually be better than last year with Jimmy be being more healthier and also having Weddle in the line up. There's also the chance of picking up a corner in the second round. Perhaps move up and grab Alexander or Spence.
  4. I had been hoping for us to get him in a trade down with perhaps the Rams, but in recent mocks I've seen him going to Philly bout five times as well as other top ten teams. If we can get him with our 6th I'll be more than happy. Just try stopping us from scoring. The only set back I see is the o line could be better, but Ozzzie ain't done yet.
  5. I pushed a bit for Elliott earlier this month and got negged twice for it. Oh well. The one thing that I don't think was brought up about him unlike Gurley is he doesn't have any health issues. Also, he's fast. Imagine dcs trying to defend against all that speed on the field with Perriman and Wallace on the sidelines and Elliott in the backfield. I am still a bit hesitant taking him with the 6th pick. Would rather trade down to 15 and get an extra 2nd or maybe even two 2nds. Get Spriggs and shore up that left side. Maybe Alexander will still be there as well. Then again, maybe Elliott won't be there at 15 either. Hard to say what to do.
  6. I have three sons. They are 30, 28 and the youngest will be 25 tomorrow. I love them as much as when I first held them in my arms. I can only imagine what Tray's family is going through. Way too young.
  7. What is this now, 3 ticked off veteran players we've stolen because they we're unhappy their prior teams in the last four years now? First Doom, then Sr. and now Weddle? Welcome to the Ravens!
  8. Here's hoping they both make the field.
  9. What about trading with the Rams and possibly taking Elliott, Alexander or Spence with the fifteenth pick and then grabbing Spriggs with their second (take care of LT) and maybe a cb w/ our 2nd. 26th ranked in rushing last year, not good. Although I do like Jack the more I think about how he and Mosley could shut down the inside.
  10. I suggested this a few weeks ago. Williams, Watson and Waller. Sounds like a law firm.
  11. Sounds like Boyd would be a healthy Campanaro in the slot. Have a great B day.
  12. Maybe, but I would hope in a trade down.
  13. What about the possibility of converting Waller to aTE. He could at least be in blocking situations.
  14. I wonder what the chances of Waller converting over to TE are ? Not so much a receiving TE, but maybe a blocking one. He can block while he works on his receiving skills.
  15. Or maybe a career? Hopefully not.
  16. The secondary did much better in the latter part of the season and I think we were around 15th or 16th not sure in sacks. What ever position we go in either offense or defense with the first pick, we're still going to be lacking in others no matter what we do, considering just how many holes we have, but that 26th ranking just seems to scream help to me.
  17. As I understand it, we were ranked 26th in rushing. I'm beginning to agree with Jacq and think that if we can get decent value, trade down and get Elliot in maybe the 15th along with a LT like maybe Spriggs in the 2nd and maybe one more pick in the third or late second, then I'd be happy. Believe me when I say that there are a lot of other players such as Alexander or VH3 that I'd prefer to trade down for or better yet keep the 6th and get someone like Bosa, Myles or Jack, but something should be done to rectify this if in fact we were actually that bad. I think New England was ranked below us and as good as their offense was, they couldn't get past Denver's defense. What if they had had a better running game? We need either an elite type LT or a very good running back to take the pressure off the passing game as well as Joe. Again, would rather have it differently.
  18. That's what I figured. Thanks.
  19. Curious; how many years ahead can two teams plan to make a trade? In other words, would it be possible to ask for a 2nd round pick in 2017 as well as 2018 draft along with their first this year? Just an example. Anybody?
  20. Originally from Baltimore city back when people used to sell candied apples from their front porch steps and a candy bar cost only a nickel.
  21. Actually I don't think the defense changed all that much afterward, but our offense did. the result was no playoffs for quite awhile. I think it's a combination of both O and D. I think someone said that offense will take you to the playoffs and defense will win you the championship. I dunno.
  22. Thanks.
  23. Regarding Alexander, how might it effect his stock now that he's suffered 2 hamstring injuries?
  24. What are the chances of trading up to take Robinson after taking the 6th pick. As I understand it, the reason we went from 22nd in passing D to 6th was because we pulled the Lbs back more often to help against the pass. The problem was that this hurt the run defense. Putting Robinson in the mix with Jernnigan and Williams might give us a top 5 defense if we continue this way (imo). The question is what would we have to give up for it and would he even still be available? I've seen him mocked at 6th to 15th pick.
  25. Thank you for that. Glad it's not just me. Actually I was kidding about the pathetic part. Quite frankly I don't have the time to do all that research anyway. Leave that up to the experts.
