Having played in underachieving "teams with high hopes", I think the main factor in this year injuries is that players were asked to do more that they could actually do. Specially after the narrow, and avoidable, loss to Denver [in which we lost Suggs for the season]. I wasn't joking before the St.Louis game, when I said put Forsett and Flacco on IR: it was clear they were carrying way too much load, that they were trying way too hard. That's dangerous. Then of course Hurst was in there instead of Monroe, and you can blame luck and all that. But if coaches put players in the wrong mindset, bad things ensue. And anyway - the conditioning has been suspect for a number of seasons now. [if the team were in Italy, we would be safely guessing that the trainers and doctors are good friends with the bosses of the team]
