I really, really doubt Perriman's injury has any relation at all to OSD. I haven't ever heard about or seen anyone that is still affected by OSD as an adult. It just sounds like really bad luck/timing. FWIW, I'm a Physical Therapist and had terrible OSD in my early teens due to large growth spurts and playing a lot of tennis at the time. I was on crutches off-on for months. I still have small calcified bumps below my knee-caps, but have had zero issues or pain since 9-10th grade despite playing soccer and basketball in HS.
