12 million in cap space. I expect some moves Ozzie. Unless you plan on running off with it. ![]()
And I love A. Lewis, but he looks more like a RT to me. Train him up there behind Wagner in case of injury.
Who's a better LG on our current roster? Back-up? Try starter. lol
If Pees wants a better start, He should resign, and let a real coach run the
defense. You my friend are misguided. Don't need any changes right now. Talk about it when the games really count. Suggs and Doom will make a difference plus we will be actually game planning. Everyone wants to fire the coach. Just maybe the players are to fault. What do ya think? I am sure the defense will be up to par when the season starts.
It will help but not enough. If Dean Pees wants to keep letting the recievers going 10 yards off the reciever than it won't make much of a difference. The Qb will easy find open slants and won't even have time for Suggs and Dumervil to get to the Qb. For me, it's time to make a change and hire Frazier as our DC.
Exactly! Slants and deep outs/Comebacks are literally wide open every play. Any timing route just eats that cushion alive. Smh. We essentially play our cornerbacks as safeties.
Dean Pees uses vanilla game plans regardless of game type. I've come to accept that the days of our aggressive defensive identity left with ed, ray, haloti, and coach pagano among others. "Bend and sometimes break" defense.
If Webb can play at high level at safety (he'll probably still play some cb on obvious passing downs) I think the defense could surprise some people. Assuming better 3rd down coaching as well.
You don't care about the ratings... but you found this thread, read it and took the time to comment. What else are we supposed to talk about on a madden thread? o_O
Seems a bit low... They really under rated some of our young guys.

Well if you ever watched him play at Florida... he was pretty much the same player. In the box, good run support but horrible tackling fundamentals, limited coverage ability. How we expect these guys to magically transform into different players is annoying.
If you're going into the season with Zachary Orr as the uncontested starter beside CJ you don't have the luxury of passing on both of the top 2 inside linebackers in the draft...in the 2nd round.
So I'm guessing Arthur Brown is actually going to play now (Also a 2nd round bust by the "wizard" ozzie)? Or are we going to play Ronnie Stanley next to CJ?
No Myles Jack? Reggie Ragland? I sincerely hope this guy pans out.
Stanley can play RT. People forget Wagner is dealing with an injury and struggled even when healthy a lot last year.
If Jalen Ramsey is a once in a generation player (3 picks in as many years in college).... Then I need some of whatever it is Tunsil and apparently some of you are smoking.
I agree with the sentiment...I don't care who they pick... as long as they play. No point in drafting guys for special teams, especially when there are obvious holes on the roster.
Has Arthur Brown ever played any meaningful snaps on defense? I'll have to check the archives because he must have been all-time bad for a team to give up on a 2nd rounder so quickly.
I can't wait for dean pees defense team's response when the patriots "turn" rashaan melvin into a #2 cb. " Maybe they poured magic on him."
Let me be clear. We've been bad before on defense. But it wasn't the scheme. Our players were just not good enough. Frank Walker come to mind. This scheme is bad. Bend and then break is not a good defensive scheme. I'm not bashing Pees, his scheme sucks. 9 yards off the line of scrimmage, deion sanders in his prime would give up plenty of underneath routes.
That's how the world works. If you're put in charge of something and it [profanity deleted]s. Then you are held responsible. Injuries are no excuse... there are teams who would die to have our defensive personnel.
If Josh McCown goes for 500 yards passing... I wonder what the optimist will have to say? At least he didn't throw for 600?
If Dean Pees is so good...Why is he the only DC the ravens have had thats EVER stuck around for so long?
Every week watching the offense put on a cape and try to rescue the defense. Every WEEK! It's suppose to be the other way around especially on a team with the history of defense like baltimore. Can you seriously tell me our secondary has no talent? We have damn good potential.
Second 380+ yards passing given up. If you want to argue thats not bad defense then you don't watch football.
Peyton Manning week1. After that game everyone was basically talking about how Peyton was not the QB he used to. For the stat line btw 24/40 200 yds and 1 INT is certainly struggling.
Well i sure as hell hope he didn't catch amnesia after that game. D. Carr 30/46 351 3td 1 int, A. Dalton 20/32 383 3 tds 1 int, M. Vick 19/26 126 1 td 0 int, J. McCown 30/44 380 2 td 0 int and counting....

Devin Hester is not completely incompetent as a receiver. So IF we HAD to use him there we could. No point in having what 8 receivers? Even though I would have kept butler over at least 2 of the cornerbacks currently on the roster.
