i've decided i dont want to endure another heart attack game. I am going to sleep through, yes..sleep through this game and just take a peek at the score a few hours later..Ravens football is way too dramatic and if im going to watch a game i'd prefer knowing we have won or not bother going through the pain only to lose.

this game is really really important..i think its a game that will define our season going forward. We need to be 5-2 or 6-1 going into our bye. anything less and we aint making the playoffs.

Well, there's always golf on Sundays. Could be your cup of tea.

Maxx Williams is hurt again and there's also discussion on whether or not they'll sit him. Moving forsett to give a spot to Waller gives time to decide how they want to handle maxx.

The next step, barring injuries, is the decision with taliaferro once he comes off pup.  Thinking an IR decision for max or taliaferro comes at that time.

Forgot Tali was on the team, heh. That's freaking interesting, man.

Denver....  some folks just don't see the forest for the tree.   I would say that you should be like myself, and be "not all that curious" at all.  Because I have seen what can happen when the protection is there.  I have seen what can happen when you have to switch OC's in the middle of a season, and the guy adjusts, and takes a team to the Big Game.  We have a crap ton of new players that need to adjust yet.  All you have to do is scroll through the game thread from yesterday...  it was like a Bipolar OCD party.  I watch the game.  I evaluate it, and listen to the players take on what they see and do.  Us fans don't see "everything".

It's way too early for knee-jerking imo. Joe was rattled yesterday, who wouldn't be? That line was swiss cheese and Mack was mauling over everyone he faced. If Stanley and Lewis can get back to full health soon, then I think we'll be fine. They still need time to gel. We're 3-1. I'm ok with that haha.

I just want to know WHAT will make flacco homers on this forum realize that he is a big issue?  Im not a skip bayless fan but when he said '' flacco is the best WORST qb I've ever seen'' can one really deny that? He's pandoras box..he can be the worst QB in the league one day and have a solid outing the next and once ina  while have an awesome game. We started this year talking about all the awesome weapons he has..What now? Oh the offensive line isnt great? So bleeping what? Well it appears that unlike many great QBS he's been the worst under pressure..

its clear to me that unless we supply him with a dallas cowboys like line he will never EVER take us to or close to a SB again.

Who would you replace him with? I'm genuinely curious as to what your solution is to this "big issue"

If you don't understand how much affect the OL play has on the QB, then maybe I'm not all that curious.

Im sorry but that's absolutely insane. (a) theres no long term injuries forcing that big of a shake up. Moving players around causes a drop off and this arrangement would weaken not 1 spot but 4 (!!!!) Spots- insane to throw off the consistency for one week of injuries. (b) Mack lines up over the RT most of the time, so moving Wagner to LT is counter productive, Yanda at RT has been serviceable in the past but hes been struggling (by his standards) as a guard this year. (c) its clear that Hurst is the swing tackle since he's active every gameday and doesn't take many ST snaps. You can definitely complain about Hurst if you want, but he's on the roster for situations like this.

Yeah was thinking this too. No reason to shuffle anyone. Hurst isn't great, but he's the only legit back-up LT we have. No need to disrupt the entire line.

Urschel was groomed for whatever interior backup role he was needed. But he is the 2nd option for the most part after jensen. I think urschel gets the nod at LG though.

I just noticed the other thread about replacing Lewis and Zuttah. I know Castillo and Harbs are high on Lewis, but Urschel has been healthy the last two weeks, so I guess it's just a matter of how Lewis continues to hold up. Are you thinking that change comes pretty soon?

I would like to see Jensen at Center frankly. I think he's just a mean boy and strong.

Urschel is not the backup center. Jensen is.

Jensen would be in before Urschel

Got it, got it, and got it. I thought Urschel was being groomed for that position, but now I'm not sure where I got that from. Zuttah must not be 100%, as his last two games have been pretty bad. Possible we might move on after 2016?

Looks like his dead money is $2.2 with a cap savings of $2.4...

We scored 25 unanswered points, after getting our butts handed to us. The D shut the door, or should I say slammed it shut. It wasnt pretty at first, but good teams overcome adversity. We WON the game, quit fussing.

For real. If this were last season, this team would have never come back. It's pretty easy to pack it up and call it a game when you're down 3 scores. Good teams find ways to win these games, average teams might make a comeback, but average teams don't shut it down for the next 45 minutes, and assemble a 5 point win.

I still have Demaryius Thomas dreams for Perriman. Couple bumps in the road, but it'll just get better from here.

Less drops in clutch situations would be good though. Thing about DT, he's a great blocker. That's something that doesn't really get talked about, and Perriman has shown some of that in limited snaps.

One thing I can't stand is the ravens have no killer instinct. Or should I say harbs dont. He will run run run until he can't no more and burn time but we are always one score or so away from either winning or losing because he refuses to keep his foot on the gas and bury his opponents for whatever reason. Its been a passing league for quite some time now but he still has the run first pass later mentality. We have the offensive weapons to actually utilize our pass game but he just won't. As bad as I hate the patriots and steelers I have to say they have the killer instinct and they are definitely not afraid to run up the score and crush there opponents throats. We have way to many close games because of this. We always wana run in the red zone and we always wana burn the clock up. That's the only reason I can see that we dont ever blow anybody out. Last time we were aggressive we won the Superbowl. We weren't afraid to pass the ball.

We showed killer instinct on Sunday. In fact, it was the first time I remember us showing any in a few seasons. Trestman's playcalling might have been a little suspect in the second half, but he killed the Bills on that final drive.

It's just the way this team handles reports/news of injuries that is maddening.

I'm glad they don't say much anymore. The fanbase can't seem to handle any poor news these days. I mean, here we are...

  13. We just won a game with two rookies on the left side of the line, a QB who tore two knee ligaments 9 months ago, and questions at nearly every position. Did I mention we did that against a pretty solid, good, not great team, who has some lofty expectations and high-caliber play makers?

This team has a ton of potential. Stay healthy, tidy up the pass rush, work on the run game, let Joe continue to knock off the rust.

  14. I'm happy for Perriman. Nervous, sure. But, overall I'm just happy that he's going to get another shot. I'm sure the dude has been beside himself over all of this. Anyone who has played competitive sports, or takes part in any sport, knows it's crushing to be injured. If you've been there, you know how tough it can be getting over the mental hump. Perriman has the cards staked against him, he's been dealt two major setbacks, injuries to both knees, loss of helpful reps, and on top of that the fanbase has marred the poor kid in "bust" terminology.

I hope he balls out, and makes a lot of people eat their words. Gotta make it through practice first, but he's gonna get his shot and that's a huge step forward for his head.

I can't stress how beautiful it was to watch Stanley keep that pocket completely clean with one of the best defensive line and linebackers in front of him. I hope he continues to play well. Very very impressive by our highest pick in a decade.

This can't be stated enough. Stanley looked incredibly polished for a rookie. It blew me away how solid he looked in all facets of the game.
