Players get paid well and they are well aware that the game could be detrimental to their health. Thats why we have a draft each year to replace players with younger and healthier competitors.. It gives teams a new look each year and spreads around the competition so that the weaker teams have a better chance of getting to the big game. There are many jobs that pay a lot less and are more dangerous than football. Ever hear of the Police, Fireman and lets not forget our Military. Its all BS and a money thing just as the climate control is, imo.

Good grief, more retreads. Asa Jackson......again. How many times do they bring this guy back before they finally admit yet another drafting mistake and let him go? He is just another in a long list of mediocre corner backs the Ravens have managed to collect. They kept lame Elam around long enough so that everyone stops questioning why they wasted a number one pick on him. Now he is "hurt". So what? They will do the same with average receiver Perriman. He makes a nice catch now and then, but his so called "speed" doesn't scare anyone and he drops as many as he catches. They will keep him around, making lame excuses, until they finally get rid of him. Just another in a long list of bad draft choices. That is why the Ravens are where they are.

 I have to believe that a lot of the defensive woes we and other teams are having is a result of rule changes over the years in favor of the offensive team. It has had a net effect of the defense being more apprehensive to make contact to avoid penalties, and you can't give a professional wide receiver that advantage without major adjustments in defense being made. It doesn't appear DP has been able to do that with these players.

Interesting, but it doesn't matter who we have if we can't stop or reduce what ever has been causing us to have so many injuries over the last two years.

Payback for the Ray Rice dilemma, embarrassing the league.

I heard on one of the videos Jimmy Smith say "We have to learn how to get off the field on third down". That's the problem with this defense. How about being more aggressive and learn how to get off the field on first or second down. Why wait for third down? Is that part of the bend but don't break scheme? Hows that workin for ya?

With out decent o-line depth we most likely would have needed our third string quarterback.

A terrible way to learn not to arm tackle.
