The Orioles are in a tight fight for first place in the division. They've got some hot bats but the starting pitching is a hot mess. Can't see them pulling off any post season glory with an awful pitching staff.
Find myself waiting in anguish for the NFL season to start. So much so that I am REALLY looking forward to the pre season games. I want to get a look at our new guys and see how some of the guys returning from injuries look. Was last year just an injury-bug fluke and will the Ravens be back in the playoff hunt? If the team stays healthy I think they've got the talent to at least get a wild card spot. If not that, to at least have a winning record again.
We have an Orioles thread here http://boards.baltimoreravens.com/topic/68027-2016-baltimore-orioles/
Thanks for the tip.
Excited about the Orioles right now with their quick start and the Joey Rickard story. Getting just as excited about the NFL Draft and what the Ravens will do at pick 6. The Ravens didn't get many pick sixes during the 2015 season, so now they get one in the draft...*drum roll*
Jake Long is a Raven? Wow. I hope he can stay healthy and still has a bit of that Pro Bowl talent left to give. He could make a big impact on the line play this season if that is the case and that way the pressure wouldn't be squarely on Stanley.
Only 10 more days until the first preseason game! I know the starters won't be playing much but I hope they play enough to put a little pouting face on Cam Newton's mug.
Patrick Fitzryan finally signed with the Jets. Wondering if the recent release of Nick Foles had anything to do with expediting that process along?
So Micheal Bennett was probably "encouraged" to make an apology to Cam Newton and the comments he made that he was just one of the guys taking the money and not using their stardom to really make a difference. That wasn't the only QB he mentioned by name. I wonder if he will be making any apologies to Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers?
Thursday can't get here soon enough. I get a treatment for my back that I hope clears up a couple of issues and of course...kick off for pre season football fun times!
Do you get regular adjustments?
No, this will be my first meeting. Had an issue creep up that my doctor thinks is a pinch of something in my lower back due to a nasty fall I had a long time ago. For a long time I had no issues, but now I am getting old so you know...things creep up. Hopefully an adjustment will fix it up and take care of the issue for me.
Very disappointing season. The Ravens could have easily been a 10-6 team or better as I had predicted they would be, but they beat themselves in many of their losses. To play the last game of the season with no heart, no passion, and to just give up like that was nothing like any Ravens team I've seen before. You can excuse them for the season with a million injuries because that was simply relying on 4th and 5th string options. This team just gave up against the BENgals (named after a Bengal Tiger) and not the BANGLES (a horrible pop band or type of female wrist band jewelry).
Wondering what the status of Crockett Gillmore's MRI was, it was like what, four or five days ago he was supposed to get one done?
You do know there is only one team in NFL History to go 16-0 in the regular season and then go undefeated in the playoffs. It is only three losses, of course HOW you lost them doesn't look good, but a loss is a loss just like an ugly win still counts as a W.
If you're referring to the 1972 Dolphins, they went 14-0. No team other than the Patriots has ever gone 16-0 in the regular season.
You're right, they didn't play 16 games back then. The Dolphins are the only team to have a perfect season and post season.
Correct. There's only a handful of teams that have ever gone perfect in the regular season (less than 10), but none won it all.
