  1. Before this game I wished the trade deal on draft night to get Ramsey worked out. Now, especially after looking at his choice of words, I don't think he would have fit into the mold of "Plan Like a Raven". I totally understand players being emotional, but that was straight disrespectful - to The Mr. Smith of all people. You are a rookie talking to a potential HOFer, on a team that's 0-3, and you just lost. Too afraid to talk to his face, yet calls him out inside the locker room... I think we all get that because I wouldn't say it to his face either. Show some class, show some respect. 3-0 vs 0-3. Win vs Loss. 16.3 years vs 0.3 years. All-Pro vs. Hasn't Even Been Here Long Enough to be Considered (let alone done it). #RespectThat
  2. Who will emerge from the pack? I really like Maxx Williams getting called out here. Between his age, athleticism, and NFL pedigree (aka his dad was a longtime NFL player) I see him as someone who has the potential to develop into a top-tier TE. We know that he can catch, and the mini-camp reports said "a year in an NFL weigh room has done him some good". The addition of Watson and getting Pitta back into the mix should help him develop as well. Now I'm not necessarily saying that Maxx is going to leap-frog everyone in training camp here, but I've got this gut feeling that it's only a matter of time before he starts to separate from everyone else.
  3. How can you not like this guy? The past 2 seasons have shown that Urshel can play on the line. Last year's stretch of starts gave him first-hand experience of what it's takes to be a starting lineman at the NFL level, and given the guy's academic resume I think that he's smart enough (and has the work ethic) to get himself to that level and beyond. I think John's recipe for success is mistake-free football with no missed assignments. My prediction is that he earns the starting job at LG and we don't hear his name except for when we get a highlight clip of rushing TD's - which is a good thing! His quickness translates well to a zone running scheme, and I expect to see him as the pulling guard often.
