I almost hope they eat it this year because next year they will be in so much better a position to negotiate than this year it might be worth it. Even though they never would cut him the threat of cutting him this year would be laughed at by Linta who's only money ticket is Joe. Next year Linta would have to take the threat seriously due to the tremendous cap savings it would generate. Linta calling Ozzie dumb is a problem.
Linta didn’t called Ozzie dumb, he said the Ravens were dumb for not extending Flacco before 2012 season. In hindsight were they? Some have said “yes” but not for the reasons identified by Linta. At the end of the day, regardless of how I feel about it and the simple fact that I thought and still think it’s one of the dumbest contract the Ravens have ever issued to an average, mediocre player.
Flacco? Average? Mediocre? You cannot be a true Ravens fan. Leave immediately. You must be a Kyle Boller lover.
Also implies that there would be a corner or pass rusher available at #6 worth taking there. We certainly aren't in a position where we need to reach for a position of need, and we're certainly looking for a player who will help us more in the long run than the short run.
Pass rusher certainly gets addressed one way or another in this draft, but corner I'm not so sure about.
While I would love to have Ramsey at 6th, if J. Smith and Will Davis come back healthy along w/ Shareece Wright, it's a crap shoot if a rookie DB could make their way on the 1st team D.
Ramsey would be a safety. I don't he would have a problem beating Lewis and Webb for the job because they're both mediocre.
Signing Matt Forte would be like me flying to the moon tomorrow to have breakfast. It's never going to happen. The factors that would have to be involved are age and money. If Talioferro can't stay healthy, we might as well just cut him and keep Allen and West and sign Forte to replace Talioferro. But let's be realistic here. It won't happen.
I'm very grateful that the Ravens have Sam Koch. The man is down-to-earth and naturally a great person.
Sean Smith or Jenkins would be sneaky under the radar great pick ups if they came at the right price because they are both talented and aggressive. Unfortunately,we must face it, unless we steal a player like we did with Doom, we will never over-pursue a player in a bidding war. Realistically, the only reason we would or should do it is if we think we are one or two pieces away from a championship, e.g. the patriots signing Revis to win a ring. We are realistically 2-4 blue chip players away though.
Jenkins wouldn't be a good choice to sign. Two years ago, him and Smith Sr. had a huge feud in a game between the Panthers and Rams. Jenkins even insulted Smith's wife. Jenkins would be a good choice to sign if you're trying to get him killed.
Can Pees. Pagano is leaving the Colts next year. Bring Chuck back.
Dean Pees needs to go.
Both people under me are obviously fans without any faith.
Former BALTIMORE Colts. They're coming back to the place where they belong.
Even when Suggs left the game, Manning still couldn't produce. That means the loss of Suggs had very little effect on our defense. I think we'll be fine even without Terrell Suggs. Get well soon my friend.
Flacco needs to bring the Fu back. #FearTheFu
Anyone in the mood for the Blind Side II?
Flacco would have more if it wasn't for Lee Evans, Anquan Boldin and TJ Houshmanzadeh.
Ryan and Newton over Flacco? That's ludicrous. Ryan and Newton have both had great receivers (Julio Jones, Tony Gonzalez- Falcons; Steve Smith - Panthers) and still can't be consistently productive. Flacco has excelled greatly with the receivers he's worked with. As good as Mason, Boldin and SSS are, all were past their prime when they came here. It's difficult to work with receivers who are over 30 years old and on the decline. And the article said it already: The defense was ranked No. 17 in the league on our Super Bowl run. Flacco proved that he can carry a team on his back. All 11 TDs and 0 INTs proves that it was Flacco and the offense. I'd say he's number eight or seven. However, if Rivers is at number six, that's preposterous. Flacco>Rivers. Put Flacco at six instead of Rivers if that's the case.

In two consecutive seasons, the defense has finished in the top ten twice overall under Pees.
