I never met the kid but I am quite sure that he is so disappointed on the outcome of this season. Hopefully Oz, DeCosta learn their lesson and began to draft some offensive weapons I think were good at TE We need WR and is it a shame that Oz has taken so long to draft the weapons that Flacco needs
I understand that Flacco just not the QB to make the players around him better, but he has always lacked the weapons necessary other than Boldin, I see other NFL QB's we are built to run the ball not throw and this is why and having not one elite WR during Flacco's time. Ryan came in the same time as Flacco he had Roddy White and went out and mortgaged and drafted Julio Jones Dalton has elite and a great supporting cast weapons so does Big Ben get the picture guys I have never understood Ozzie when it comes to WR. Oz let's go buddy
this is not ravens football these are imposters will the real ravens stand up PLEASE!
the kid is not a bust yet well we are in the same boat as the Bears with Kevin White he doesn't to play this year either I wish they would've did surgery sooner that's all its nothing we can do this year but perhaps Ozzie and the crew will get a mid-level WR in free agency and draft a one too because so far Aiken and Brown are not holding there own and Campy is a slot WR like Smitty good luck Flacco
well let's take a look at Flacco, he has just one weapon old Smitty second yr. TE Gilmore and no running game the other WR get no separation at all so exactly what is Flacco supposed to do?
not having Perriman the defense can stack the line this is why there is no running game Aiken cannot beat man coverage Forsett can't run there are no running lanes with the D condensed at the line of scrimmage or extra man in the box daring Flacco to go over the top with no Perriman there best other than Smitty is Campy who Trestman is not using well at all but Crockett is who we thought he was tough rugged TE with an outside threat this offense could flourish. oh yea give Jimmy Smith some time his legs are not fully under him yet
stop piling on Joe yes, he shouldn't have thrown that pass to Steve who was completely covered by Talib but Ravens Nation we have one of the better quarterbacks in the NfL a lot of things went wrong WR got no separation at all oh and there was no running game at all either just name a few things so stop blaming Joe at the time Ravens Nation!
the offensive line clearly struggled today they'll get better as the season goes on. so let's not panic, Flacco just couldn't set his feet at all he seem to get hit all the time after he threw the ball. let's give credit to both teams defensively. They played great. well I do think that Gilmore was face-guarded and there was no call the official could have easily made the call the DB did not play the ball.
what are the ravens to do with Osemele and Yanda that truly is the question. a healthy Webb and Smith could have formed a great tandem at cornerback so far this has never bore fruit hopefully the second string is not as bad they look in preseason perhaps they can find their niche this season as acclimation begins. I know that Marlon Brown has to come up with those balls no excuses Flacco has weapons at WR if they can get healthy Perriman, Camp, and old Smitty and Gilmore at TE Buck, Forsett Talifarro the RB's so let's go Ravens!
Waller looks committed and does Boyle and besides Trestman is a bonified OC not like the one dimensional Cam Cameron the Donte Stallworth double-reverse talk about predictable Trestman offense is TE friendly and we know he likes big WR's Waller will do great in this offense and eventually Waller will have a package or two to use his big frame
Waller is 6'6 big catch radius runs4'3 and 240lbs he's going to pack on bout ten pounds of muscle in the next year or so you cant teach that and Ravens don't want another team to make Waller their project the Ravens want the first crack at it. if he stays healthy eventually he'll be the Ravens starting WR in the next couple of years right now he's a rookie but in a year or two he'll become gritty hardnosed and tough I see this with Perriman as well give Perriman a year or two and he'll be telling DB's to mind their business too
the had there eye on Julian Edlman couple years ago but DeCosta and Oz also had an eye on Camp in college and decided on Camp cus the talent was there and of he comes much cheaper and younger too
I was impressed with Campy tonight if he stays healthy he's going to be true weapon in the slot for Flaks and Company
I like when the west coast off. the screens and slants those 3-5 yards plays that move the ball the way Bill Walsh intended it to be then when the defense would try to cheat then comes the big play down field we have that kind of offense especially in the AFC North November and December tough games also the Ravens will be playing the NFC West most those teams predicated on defense tough D the good thing is that Joe is used to playing against tough D his own of course Harbough is stubborn at times his in-game adjustments are few and far in between cause he wants to be tough all the time just take what the defense gives you
this Waller kid is a draft sleeper like the 06 draft Marcus Colston of the Saints and may be better way to go Oz
Well Kamar will open as the starter this year and Perriman will be brought along this year with Camp in the slot if the TE position struggles we may see a three receiver set often Butler is intriguing to me he could be a good slot but Camp is there so he'll be fighting Kamar and Camp for snaps I just like to see how the receiver corps shakes out this year Trestman is gonna have his hands full and so will Flacco
when Campy is on the field he's gets things done he has the ability to keep the drive alive so that Smitty or Perriman can make a play. if healthy Camp will become a nightmare to cover. DeCosta and Oz decided not peruse Edleman instead they went after Camp in the draft to develop him the slot is his if he can stay healthy.
I was thinking to that the young core of receivers Perriam, Campy Aiken Butler Waller and Brown are all have a upside another sleeper is Waller to me he is freakishly big and strong when he learns the pro game look out he Perriman will be the 1-2 in the future Campy is a chain mover but I also like the grit of Butler and Aiken both are compliment receivers that are strong and don't fear going over the middle. Flacco will be able to get a lot done with this unit over the next few years a lot!o
if ozzie did not believe in this kid he would not have drafted him yes Perriman is raw that's why you have a coaching staff the Ravens have a great staff one thing liked about harbaugh he's not threaten by a good coach big reputation (Kubiak)but this kid has a big upside and Flacco will the better for it
if we recall Torrey Smith dropped a touchdown pass in Pittsburgh Flacco came back two plays later in a crucial situation 23seconds left and Torrey came through and the TD pass from Flacco Torrey did dropped passes but he caught a lot a crucial passes in tough situations too. Perriman I think will struggle some early but he will get better as the season goes on and cause he's bigger and faster than Torrey he'll much better. as I said Ozzie got this one right
I always liked Jimmy even when he struggled in coverage. he would be looking in the backfield on play action and get burned a lot. I knew he had the talent the size and physicality he needed to be dedicated to his craft. I'm waiting for Jimmy to ball out!
if you ask me OC Cam Cameron is the one who screwed joe, how? having the WR run 9 routes including the slot all those long routes and that "my or the highway" with Joe we are starting to see the real Flacco. he has always been clutch even when having a trash game he'll come through 2min. left in the game need I mention those games were the defense couldn't hold the lead or let team drive 80 yards the Falcons 2010 i'll say this if Joe ever is on the open market let see how many GMs or VP of Operations clear cap space for him. Joe has never had a true 1WR just look at the teams who don't have good QB good luck with that GM the Browns
can u imagine Brown Waller and Perriman Gilmore in the red zone package? maybe not this year but as Flacco becomes more seasoned with this young talent around him I don't see Trestman being around that long what do you guys think
I just think that Perriman is going to be an all out stud he's got old Smitty the WR on the field and WR coach Ingram who was a good route runner in his day. I really like this kid. Torrey struggled with this west coast offence cus he's not good route runner now and press coverage Breshard is strong and so far has shown he can beat press coverage Breshard is a bigger, stronger faster version of Torrey to me.
