LT will play on goal line and some 3rd and shorts. Buck will replace Justin when he needs a breather or God forbid injury.
If he played defense I would say Maxx Payne but since he plays TE I like calling him Mad Maxx. At games I have no problems saying Maxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx!!!!
Hope the Ol can stay healthy but there is depth there. As far as Matt Elam I don't think his role will increase baring injury but I do think he will have opportunities to prove him self. I think Matt will keep a spot on this team and actually play better this year, I still believe in the kid and he seems to be taking this year more seriously.
I got Buck backing up Justin for number 2 Rb. I think Lorenzo will be more of a 3rd and short and goal line back. Fresh and ready to power through lines.
Remember they want to limit SSS a little bit so he has more juice down the stretch of the season. While I still think he is in the top 2 receiver(with Perriman) category I really see the Wr position as a situational rotation or when a guy really needs a breather. I see Aiken as more of a third and long- medium guy. Marlon Brown will be more a third and short or redzone guy. Waller may even see some action this year in the redzone especially for 2pt conversions. Keep in mind Waller is still raw so it depends on how fast he develops. While I don't hate Camp I see him mostly playing special teams there just too much depth at the Wr position right now. Camp and DeAndre will battle for kick and punt returns and both might get the job.
I have all the confidence in the world in Marc Trestman as a offensive cordenator. He has none of the stress of being a head coach can focus on the offense and is great with working with quarterbacks, except Jay Cutler (cant help them all). He knows the deal work with what was already working because its not broken. Then add his own twist on to it, with all the weapons and depth I think the sky's the limit on the plays he can execute with this team. Joe will have fun working with somebody who has the same personality as he and they will get along phenomenally. I just hope Trestman can actually stick around for more than a year because I think Joe may be tired of remembering so many offensive coordinators names.
If you don't know you better ask somebody. Nobody forces Ozzies hand and nobody knows what Ozzie is going to do. We can spend a whole year talking about how we should keep Yanda (who I love to death) or keep K.O. (who grows better each week) or keep both or try and sign Tucker (best kicker in the league) or keep Will Hil ( love his mentality because all he wants to do is hit and make plays) but at the end of the day Oz and Co. will always put the team first by making sure contracts are fair for the organiztion and postions are competitve despite team favorites and elite players.
If you don't believe the words I say to be true then ask a guy like Haloti Ngata how Ozzie does it.
Cmon we already know what the deal is. This is the AFC North the toughest, hardest, grittiest, blue collar division in the NFL hands down. Even the Browns will play you hard(tho they don't win a lot). This will be a an epic cut throat battle as usual. (not for the weak at heart and fair weathered fans) Any of the top 3 teams can take it, but this year with this roster of perfectly blended youth and vets, fear the Raven not just in the AFC North but in the entire NFL.
Rashaan Melvin did all he could last year. He will be fine this year adding quailty depth to the CB position and will develop quite nicely. My condolences to both he and his family, its always tough losing a loved one especially when you have to watch them slowly die. I myself have lost 2 uncles I was really close with to cancer and I can tell you it was the watching and the knowing that their days are growing shorter and their pain is growing stronger. All we can do is be strong for our families and never forget the good times we shared with our loved ones no matter how short their time on this earth may have seemed.
All the best Rashaan, stay strong.
Man I've been a ravens fan since day one and can't ever recall having the "too many" WR and TE problem I must be dreaming, what are we ever going to do...decisions...decisions...
I love are uniforms especially the black ones, but man that design looks amazing. The wet black sleeves look like armor and I love the helmet with the gold face mask and purple going down the middle. At the end of the day I don't care if the ravens go out there naked so long as they win games.
Not a big fan of the rule change I'm more of an old school guy. I am however optimistic with the ravens benefiting from this.
Creative head coach who used to be a special team head coach + A kicker who is is the best in the league today and both accurate and confident + a stable of big tight ends Maxx Williams6-4, Dennis Pitta6-4, Crockett Gillmore6-6, Nick Boyle6-4 + a flock of giant wide receivers Breshad Perriman,6-2, Kamar Aiken6-2, Marlon Brown6-5, Jeremy Butler6-2, Darren Waller6-6 + Large power backs Javorius Allen 6-0 220, Lorenzo Taliaferro 6-0 226, Kyle Juszczyk 6-1 248 = Not only more PAT's and 2 point conversions, but more redone scores to!!!
With these two on adding more depth on the D-line our front are going to play like some full fledge psychos!
Two guys I've been waiting on since last year! To me this is like when you wash your jeans and get them out of the dryer and find money in your pockets, forgotten but so useful.
" I'm hurt, dawg; Don't ask me if I'm all right. Hell nah. Joaquin said, "Dominate," and we're not doing it. I'm putting my heart in this [expletive]Let's go, man!"
Favorite Ed Reed quote(even tho it wasn't in a Raven uniform)
All hail the GOAT of Safeties!!!!
Don't care what any of these fools say the black and purple uniforms are the best in the league, they embody the organization and city as a tough, gritty, determined franchise. We are the villains and you know what, I don't care because we win and look awesome doing it.
Yet another step in moving on with their lives, blessings and good fortunes to the Rice family.
Don't point a finger to condemn and vilify, but extend a hand to forgive and teach.
This site is a few Psi short of a properly flated football, Pats fans and the organzation grow sadder each day end of story.
Lets not forget these are the same fools who started a crowd sorcing fund to pay billonare Robert Kraft the millon dollars the organiaztion lost as punishment.
Congratulations on the book Ray. I know it will be great and that you will write at least one more because you have a had a awesome life story that needs to be told. The knowledge your life has possessed can help many people in this world.
I also can't wait for my boy Ed REEEEED to make a book too!!!!
If Pitta feels he can still play and compete I'm all for him coming back. By no means do I want him to ruin his life though. At the end of the day he's has to come together with his family and make the best decision whether it be retiring, sitting out a weeks or a year(which he could do because we have amazing depth at the TE position plus he could still be a leader for the bench), or deciding to strap up game one.
I wish you the best Dennis!
Johns been known as a head coach to take risk and I think now with the new rule change he shall take more. Carolina has "River Boat" Ron well ladies and gentle let me introduce you to "Highroller" Harbaugh. I dunno about you but that be a good new nickname for him.
I loved my hair too Robert! Used to have a big old fro and hair down my shoulders about 2 years ago grew it for over 12 years. Once i cut it it was like losing my tail. Now I'm used to not having it but its still missed. HaHaHa its not being a diva, its called being sexy!
I liking this Kid, call one quad thunder and the other one lighting!
Despite the whole Ray Rice debacle (Wish he and his family well) and Ngata's dead money, and losing other key players. A genius of a man stood tall with his crew of talented individuals and built a well stocked and talented roster. Where most organizations in this situation would panic, crumble, or tuck their tails between between their legs. Oz and Co just do what they do best Scout, draft, crunch numbers, make fantastic deals/signings, win, repeat.
In ozzie I shall always trust!

I'm pretty sure Doom will join that special club because we will have a a lot of hungry fresh guys rotating on the d-line giving both he and Sizzle some big sack opportunities.
