  1. “I’m not a perfect man – nobody’s perfect. But I want to let people know that, ‘Yeah, you may go through hell, but you’ve got to stay in the fight." Man I hope the players and coaches on this team read that. I'm not the biggest reader of books in the world but Ray could inspire me to run into a brick wall without question, this seems like a promising read so I'll have to pick it up in the future. Congrats on the book Ray, missing you like crazy. Btw whenever you come back to Baltimore be sure to stop by M&T Bank stadium, theres some ears both young and old who could use your voice right now.
  2. Btw for all the people saying why don't we or why didn't we get Alshon Jeffery, its simple he has less than a year left on his contract and the kid is about to get paid where ever he decides to go. Seriously why trade draft picks for a guy who will probably be on this team as long as Steve Smith Sr will be. Ozzie has enough contracts to worry about resigning next year. He's in all honesty not going to get in a bidding war with teams who want to make it rain on this kid.
  3. *Sigh... First I almost had a heart attack when I read an article talking about Camp being able to get out of his wheelchair the day after the game( wheelchair being the trigger word). I then was optimistic he would be back sooner than later but now I here its a herniated disk which ain't no joke. On the plus side Ozzie does it again I mean a conditional 2017 7th round pick for a desperately needed speedster who was a fourth rounder in 2012, can play returner and who was a track star in high school and college too I believe. Look I know before the Steelers game and maybe even after many lost faith in Ozzie( I don't really get why he cant prevent injuries) of all people but to me the man will always be a genius. He keeps on finding ways and deals to get guys on this squad and for that I'm thankful. Get well soon Camp, welcome to Charm City Chris Givens, and thank you Ozzie and Ravens management for making some moves, adding some vital life blood to the team, and shaking things up.
  4. First time ever doing a draft ( although I've paid attention to how in works these last couple of years) Long story short I had a nice lil draft strategies but missed a few picks and the computer drafted for me. My main question is who should I start week one at QB Joe Cool(@ Denver) or Teddy Bridgewater(@ San Francisco)? Yes I know Joe plays for us but I want your unbiased homer opinion. Also if you have any other tips and advice that would be cool too. My friend made this league a little different but below is how I have everything set up. QB: Joe Flacco RB: Justin ForsettRB: Andre EllingtonWR: Bradin CooksWR: Amari CooperTE: Jimmy GrahamQ/R/W/T: Steve Smith SeniorBench:Vincent Jackson(picked for me),Le'veon Bell(picked for me, not too mad at this one thought), Teddy BridgewaterK: Dan Carpenter (picked for me switching to our boy Justin Tucker)DEF: Houston TexansDL: Jason Pierre Paul(picked for me but Im switching to Calais Cambell) Thanks in advance Ravens nation.
  5. I'd take Drew over Romo just because I honestly foresee Romo making more mistakes. The cowboys running game on paper doesn't scare anyone so sure Romo will throw more but I see more forced throws and trying to throw to a double covered Dez. I think Romo plays better with a great running support cast. Remember last year they really started grinding with Murray more than they ever had before and Romo's name was mentioned for MVP canditate. Plus Drew has a slightly easier schedule. Also you seem to have a plethora of running backs.
  6. That actually sounds like a smart bet, but something tells me that Smith is going to ball hard over aqib talib plus I see either him or Crocket Gilmore getting the most targets. Cooper intrigues me but I worry game one he and Carr may have a little game one rust. Cooks is definitely in though. Was also thinking about doing something crazy like getting rid of Vincent Jackson and picking up a bold wild card pick............ Tyrod Taylor! lol I dunno but something tells me he is going to have some games where he just lights it up this year! Plus I was looking at Jackson fantasy numbers over the years and they declined later year was his worst ever and Mike Evans will probably get more targets.
  7. Teddy over Steve Smith or should I swap out Cooper or Cooks? Heres what the point system looks like, btw thanks for the help. Offense Pass YD: 1 point per 25 yds Pass TD: 4 points INT: -2 REC/RushYD: 1 point per 10 yds REC/RushTD: 6 points FUMB REC TD: 6 points FUMB LOST: -2 2 PT CONV: 2 points Kicking PAT Made: 1point FG made 0-19: 3points FG made 20-29: 3 points FG made 30-39: 3points FG Made 40-49: 3 points FG made 50+ : 5 points Defense/ special Sacks: 1 point INT: 2points FUMB REC: 2 points Safeties: 2 points TD: 6 points Kick/Punt RET: 6 points Points Allow 0: 10 points Points Allow 1-6: 7 points Points Allow 7-13: 4 points Points Allow 14-20: 1 points Points Allow 21-27: 0 points Points Allow 28-34: -1 points Points Allow: 35+: -4 points
  8. HaHaHaHa!!!! He tried to throw it to J.J. Watt on the goal line and throws a pick six to lose the game. I still love this guy though, great personality. Welcome to Baltimore CJ the second!
  9. I'm good with him coming back mid season if he wants to play, he can mentor the young guys and when he comes back can be the #1 or 2 TE, we will have awesome rotation to keep our boys fresh during games. If he decides he's not healthy enough and wants to retire I'm good with that too. Man has a ring and a family but he also has heart and pride so we shall see. All and all I hope the best for Dennis Pitta and his family. Btw if he does come back I can't wait for his first TD so I can say "The white tight end. He's American Express. He's everywhere you want to be. Don't leave home without him" In my T-sizzle voice!
  10. Didn't know about you or what you stood for Leonard but from what I have read you were awesome! Truly a sad story for ravens nation. If there is truly a heaven then I hope you are up there decked out in your bat suit putting smiles on all the angels faces. Your a fan for eternity and your spirit will be forever synced with the living organism known as ravens nation. Wish nothing but love for your friends and family. RIP Baltimore Batman
  11. It's still preseason folks, let the rook take as much time as needed to properly heal(maybe even some extra time just to be safe). Look I understand everyone wants to see the Kid do somethings but honestly wouldn't you rather see him shine weeks 1-16, the playoffs, and Superbowl or do you really want him to be rushed back only to re injure or further injure his knee where he's out regular season weeks or worse...? We have a plethora of hungry receiver talent top to bottom stop worrying and lets protect the teams biggest investment this year. Don't believe my words go see how Kevin White and the bears are doing right now. I for one know and am happy that we have a top notch organization whose talented and knows what they are doing in every department and if they want Breshad Perriman to sit out than I'll take their word for it simple as that. Take your time Breshad Perriman have to be smart homie. Patience his time will come when it come's y'all.
  12. Just say know Lardarius, just say no. Plenty of other players who need playing time and you need to just focus on corner and staying healthy bro.
  13. Calm down Campanaro I think John Harbaugh and the trainers have been working you out a little too hard. Lebrons not even top 10 let alone the best, maybe top 15... maybe.
  14. Happy to hear about healthy competition amongst the team. Love when players are hungry for practice. I hope every play the young and new guys learn something new, if they do good or mess up just retain the knowledge, develop and perfect your craft to become a greater player and teammate.
  15. As far as Camp goes maybe he needs to higher a nutritionist(if the team doesn't already have one) and change his diet. Also maybe try and get one of these vets that have been ageless wonders over the years phone number and ask for some fountain of youth secrets. Guys like Ray Lewis,Charles Woodson, or even guys on the team like SSS who's been doing it forever. Plenty of Knowledge all around you Camp and the NFL is like a brotherhood don't be shy, vets like to share.
  16. Aaaaawwwww yeaaahhhhhh! This is sounding good(Minus the Camp injury but at least its not severe) all our boys are getting healthy and practicing, with the exception of Brent but hey its personal I can dig it. Just work hard work smart and stay healthy and this team will go along way fellas. I truly believe this is the year of the raven.
  17. As for Webb on special team are you out of your mind? I don't even want him looking at special teams he might strain his eye and miss a few games, stick with defense brotha we need you at CB!
  18. Also I don't care that a lot of people are calling Justin a one year wonder who shouldn't have been on the top 100 he deserved to be on this list and maybe a little higher too(top 5 back in the Nfl last year). Proud of you and well deserved to our RB savior last year.
  19. I'm all for them putting our edge rushers on that top ten list, but really Cowboys OLine over ours. I'm not saying theirs sucks or anything but I feel like Dallas always gets way to much credit just because its Dallas.
  20. Omg seeing Haloti Ngata like that.... I think I just through up in my mouth a lil bit.
  21. Joes is already elite to me so I could care less about the publics opinion.
  22. Yes, Yes, more depth please! You can never have too many corners or safeties. Fight for your roster spots fellas, and stay healthy my friends!
  23. You sir are correct he also almost threw up too. I can't wait to see him this year because he played so well last year too. http://bustedcoverage.com/2015/02/26/tim-jernigan-almost-vomited-after-working-out-with-darnell-dockett/
  24. Big Timmy baby!!!!
  25. Matt Elam: More probable than not he will not start, however he will still have opportunities to show his worth. I think he can do it though because he seems more focused and serious this year. Arthur Brown: Has a huge opportunity with to prove he has gained knowledge and skill the time he has been in baltimore. He must show that he can continue to develop and ultimately take over when Daryl Smith retires. I think he will by more time and be around next year(special teams at the very least). Michael Campanaro: Sorry Camp theres to many receivers in the pot but that doesn't mean he wont be on the team. He will be the return man on one special teams side and may even take both duties if Carter doesn't take one.
Courtney Upshaw: Man I love this guy, unselfish team player and the heart of a raven all around. His role will increase, however I think it might not by that much because this is his contract year. Both he and Za'Darius should see action because not only do they both have talent but because they want to resign Courtney for cheap. While it may not or may not happen it is something to think about.
Timmy Jernigan: Big Timmy Jernigan will be just fine in fact he wont have to do it alone because we will have a sweet DLine rotation to keep him fresh. He will do tons of damage. When a Dtackle can run down RG3 you know you have an athletic specimen.
