  1. So...do you think Schaub will get 90 mins in the 4th game or split with Renner? I hope they at least split time but I sure Schaub will get the game which is unfortunate because I think Renner does have some talent. Can he survive a season on the PS?

They'll split and I think Renner is under the radar enough to slip to practice squad

They don't want to show much more good tape on Renner to get him on the PS. Plus Schaub has played poorly so he needs all the reps he can get. I see Renner only playing the 4th quarter.

I think so. I don't see why not. Renner will most likely get some time in the 4th.

  2. One of the most blatantly dirty hits I've seen in a long time, Robinson better get suspended for a least a couple games. Dirty plays like that are how you end careers, luckily Aiken is a tough guy.

  3. Man this Renner guy is so terrible, glad he only gets to play in the 4th ever game - /s
  4. Do we kick or receive out of halftime?
  5. Renner better be in after halftime, Schaub is done
  6. Schaub can't even lead this team 3 yards...
  7. I used to defend Schaub but as time goes on it gets more and more clear that he's done
  8. A strange ILB battle is shaping up here between Orr, Brown, and McClellan. Do we keep the two young guys or keep McClellan for experience? It's an unexpected competition here. As of right now, in my opinion, McClellan has been the worst of the three outside of that headsup vet forced fumble last week. Orr and Brown have at least had flashes of good play, and Orr has a leg up on McClellan because he's a good STer. We'll see how this shapes up.
  9. I still really like Asa as a returner, especially on punts. During the first game he looked super dangerous back there. Problem is obviously that he can't stay healthy to save his life. The door is open to him now with the lackluster performance of the other kick returners, hope he locks down the job this week, let's see a TD.
  10. what are you even talking about
  11. His catch is being blown way out of proportion...he's as much of a threat to make the final 53 as he was before this game. Practice squad candidate? sure, but he isn't having a threatening preseason thus far, 1 catch total and I think any one of our receivers oculd have made that catch. It was well thrown and the corner barely got fingertips on it.
  12. Renner is a second year guy but the point still pretty much stands
  13. It's early and unlikely. We'll carry 3 QBs before we cut Schaub for Renner. Renner will probably take a year on the PS and have a real competition for the backup next year, as it is Schaub is pretty much a lock. Renner would have to go berserk these next two games to take out Schaub which isn't impossible but its not likely.
  14. Let's hold our horses here, Brown had a grand total of 1 catch in the 4th quarter of a blowout, that hardly puts him in the conversation for one of the last few roster spots.
  15. Standout performer was Daniel Brown for one catch...the one who threw him the ball should have got performer of the game by a mile.
  16. I bet next practice is going to be loads of fun after all those penalties. Something tells me we won't have the same problem next week
  17. Like i said earlier, Carter has a spot on the practice squad waiting for him. He's a young small school guy, he needs a year of development, he's not ready yet
  18. Renner better get more time next week, he has just plane been better than Schaub, better decisions every play
  19. and some people wonder why Tebow wasn't in the league for the past couple years...either he's not a smart QB or he's selfish, either way he shouldn't be a QB
  20. and not a single one of the injuries are serious. Time to let Mathis go, not going to happen
  21. I agree, lets shell out a huge contract for a great 33/34 year old backup - /s
  22. I'm thinking 7 unless someone gets injured but i can't see the FO cutting Brown for Nelson, right now at least
  23. I agree, Carter at most will probably be a practice squad candidate. He's just plain not ready yet
  24. wouldn't be surprised if Renner ends up beating out Schaub but as of right now I doubt it, even though Schaub is pretty much proving that he is inded done
