Just now, Cville-Raven said:Powers got hurt apparently so Webb played corner
We need another corner - we are constantly one injury to smith away from Elam seeing the field

remember when we used to draw pass interference throwing deep - ALL. THE. TIME!!! Throw the ball deep and give guys a chance to make a play
Need another corner so badly, could of have had one in the draft
This game is really exposing our weaknesses
Elams gone
Run on 2nd & 5 - we prob pick up the first down or a few yards and punch it again and pick it up
Why the hell did we stop running!!!??? We were picking up 5 yard chunks
Needed a shallow kick there
Come on kick into play make them return
Why is Suggs out of the game
Need to go no huddle and spread them out
Weddle needs to absolutely light up Mitchell there, Reed or Pollard would
Defense can only do so much - need the Offense to points on the board when we get to the Redzone and TD not Fg and need special teams to start catching the friggn ball - been on the back foot ever since Hester let that punt go
Hester's gotta go
Gruden talking about our history of grabbing and developing undrafted linebackers makes me shake my head even more.
One of the positions we excel at picking up leftovers and developing into studs and we spend a high 2nd - idk
maybe KC going to be HOF
Full strength, everybody's settled in and knows their role - no niggles, maybe Doom is a little under done.
Interested to see what Pees dials up today

Watch college the past few years, even they don't have big hits. I hate to say that word "millenials" but maybe it's even leaked into football. There's others that have said it. Bottom line, I think we've seen the last of the Ray Lewis type punishing hits. I'm honestly still surprised that when Pollard, one of the highest flagged guys in the league for his hits, laid out Ridley it didn't draw one. Those days are over guys. Sad as it is.
Have you seen Earl Thomas' hit on Gronk??
Between Thomas & Chancellor you know you got to earn your catches playing the Seahawks

it's not old school smash mouth football where you're taking heads off every play because that doesn't work anymore
Please tell me the last time we put a licking on anybody, knocked anybody out of a game?

Said it before in another thread and I'll say it again here.
Have no problem with laying the wood early and putting that fear in the other teams players, even if it costs us 15.
Nobody wants to run over the middle and guys start short arming catches - 15 yards is a small price to pay for setting a tone of intimadition and putting fear in the other team, big hits linger, in people's minds not just for one drive, or one qtr, or one game - people remember
Im sure Gronk isn't in too much of a rush to play the Seahawks again.
Were not putting that fear in anybody at the moment
By committee, Jernigan up front and for rah rah, Mosley next level, Young playing with that little man chip
Think we need to stop this choir boy business and look to add some nasty in the draft, free agency
We have our group in place - I'm sure Suggs, Mosley, Weddle can keep any hot heads in check but I think adding a bit of nasty will take this defense to the next level.
Looking for a chippy CB, a pass rushing bull and a hard hitting safety
Lets start bringing the pain and getting under their skin - true Ravens defence
I think of Pollards hit on Ridley and most recently Thomas' hit on Gronk - we need some swag like that again, nothing dirty nothing illegal just good hard football - start putting that fear in people
We may have Thomas to thank for quite a bit depending on how this season plays out

mo money to bring in all the big time FAs
Watching the Seahawks Patsies game.
New England defense does not concern me - Seattle put up 19 in the first half of that game.
Wilson makes a few plays that Joe probably can't but as long as we give him time back there - he should be able to have a similar performance to last week.
A few of the Patriots scoring plays came from the run - hopefully we don't have that problem and can slow down the run - forcing them to be one dimensional - leading to the biggest X factor in this game for me - our secondary.
If we can slow the run, we've slowed better runners than Blount - Elliott, Ajayi, Bell, make Brady beat us - without guys like Gronk and Amendola - I'm not only looking for our secondary to have a solid day - I'm looking for multiple interceptions.
If our coverage is tight and we can force Brady to have to hold on to the ball - thinking we see our guys get after him as well.
Stop the run, slow the quick, short passing game = time to put a licking on Brady = interceptions.
Thinking with a healthy secondary this is the game where our defense truly shows its quality
Im looking not just for the win but a truly dominant defensive display, multiple interceptions and lots of hits and sacks of Brady
Mods - might need to change the thread title - annual appreciation

Maclin just more of the same.
We need to improve our Redzone efficiency (also 3rd down) we can get there just need to start getting 7 instead of settling for 3

Awesome quote from Pollard, wonder what we could have done if we kept Reed, Pollard and Boldin around a little longer
