  1. Mods - might need to change the thread title - annual appreciation
  2. Maclin just more of the same. We need to improve our Redzone efficiency (also 3rd down) we can get there just need to start getting 7 instead of settling for 3 Where Boldin was the man
  3. Yeah Crabtree has performed well since going to the raiders - he had some questions when he went there - he does fit that mould. Yeah nobody else's really fitting that mould - Jeffrey, not keen with age, cost don't really follow college so not sure if there's anybody in that mould there i don't really want to wait anymore time for people to develop either on the offensive side of the ball read it here before but think garçon is to similar to what we already have I'm very conscious of Flaccos window with manning gone and Brady surely not far behind - the AFC is ripe for us to take over - Carr, Smith, Big Ben we have the d
  4. I just want Boldin 2.0 need Redzone targets, multiple i want somebody we can just say yep at 5 or the 6 - u go out there on your own and we'll just throw u a jump ball and have that be successful 70% of the time ie Bryant or Gronk how many big catches did Boldin make on our Super Bowl run, big 3rd downs, TDs - need that guy why I want Pryor, 6'4 plays big, quick
  5. Pretty much my point - people say you're wrong because you're making these assumptions, then use their assumptions to try to reinforce their point Like only my assumptions can be right - your assumptions are wrong, so so wrong hahaha anyhow - I still want a big target to stick with our burners
  6. Hahaha it's all assumptions - so my assumptions are flawed but yours are airtight. Love how everybody is so quick to say you're wrong, what are you thinking and then give a million reasons why said person is wrong. Million ways to skin a cat, things can always play out differently - simply giving some scenarios in which we kept KO and how we could make it work and what we might look like. Pretty sure Monroe barely played in 2015, plus Smith went down early, so there's that yes Kubs is responsible for a lot, maybe we get rid of trestman in the offseason, maybe it plays out similar maybe we trade up and get Ramsey and play him opposite jimmy, grab a receiver in the second, grab Lewis in the fourth, prob don't grab Moore, still get Dixon n young to play the slot one thing is certain we needed Weddle, not arguing or saying we could have done that any differently think we could have worked around not having Wallace. Anyway we got who we got and we let others walk and here we are
  7. I understand how the cap works bud. Im sure we could retain KO and squeeze Weddle in we don't go out and get WALLACE and Watson, Hester, Powers, Ducasse and maybe we pass on signing Shareece wright and we might have gotten rid of - Arrington & Lewis a year earlier i would be fine with this - most of those guys are gone next year we added a heap of pieces that outside of Weddle n Wallace haven't done a great deal We run safety - Weddle, Webb, Elam, Brooks Corners - Jimmy, Canady, Young, price - prob would have spent a second or 3rd to add to this group If we had a line of Stanley, KO, Zuttah, Yanda & Wagner - I don't think missing out on Mike Wallace would be a huge issue. I think we'd look more like 2014 when we sent a journeyman in Forsett to the probowl. Again I think we'd be ok with Smith, Perriman, Moore and Aiken if our oline was stacking up our 2014 season we had smith, Aiken, torrey, jacoby, Daniels, Gilmore - that line sent Forsett to the probowl, i think a Dixon & West combo would Be pretty successful also think Zuttah would prob be playing at a higher level and we'd be looking for a tackle to replace Wagner in the draft and then a centre the following year the line has been one of our bigger issues this year, fair bit to do with health but if we'd kept KO it would probably be one of our greatest strengths - we'd control clock running and then you can't run on us one guy who epitomised Ravens football too anyway he's gone now
  8. If we paid KO, I don't think we need to worry about Watson & Wallace. I think we could look like Dsllas just playing a power run game behind our monster Oline, controlling clock - we play Perriman & Moore on the outside and Smith, Aiken in the slot. Run the ball down your throat all game long, put men in the box - start taking deep shots. Still grab Weddle.
  9. Have to give Harbs some credit here too - I feel. Wouldnt have been a stretch to fire Pees last year and say we're looking to go in a different direction. He stuck by his man and our defense is balling this year. That said - we know he's not shy to pull the trigger when he feels he has to
  10. You mods do such a good job, they could use you over at the Patriots forum - going to town on each other over there, no filters, no nothing Back on topic - the analogy that we don't get Dixon if we don't take Correa makes this pick a lot easier to swallow.
  11. Have to give this thread a bump, has pees been better or is it just the tools or should Frazier get some credit
  12. Secondary, when Jimmys healthy has been hugely improved. When Jommy has been healthy - I can't remember the last big play we gave up
  13. Well what do u want?? U want to pay the guys to give him the time or u want to pay the guys to throw it to??
  14. Yeah my bad, replied n then I got what you were saying we had a stud guard and we let him walk somebody's going to get the money just going to be a question of who n how much
  15. Give him time??? to do what?? We're not waiting for him to develop - we know what we have and who he is i don't want to waste anymore of his time - we just wasted the last 3 years
  16. how long as Flacco got, we don't know what's on the other side of that lets give the man weapons and see if we can Super Bowls plural - AFC is ripe for a dynasty - Brady's nearly done, Carr and the raiders are the next best ozzie knows how to fill out a roster on the cheap, let's roll the dice weve been giving big money to guys like Webb & Monroe how's that worked out?
  17. I say stop splitting hairs over a few million. We skimped on Boldin and it bit us Weve got a solid D, we're going to need to pay some guys but we can add to that group in the draft If we bring in Pryor, we look to replace Wallace through the draft in the next couple years Yards wise pryor is sitting behind the top tier - jones, Hilton, evans Beckham, brown, cooper, on the year and he's doing that in Cleveland unless you're picking top 10 and even then - getting guys of that calibre - you don't often get the chance Pony up, get the man in and give Joe a big target he can throw to through hopefully his prime years - being these next 2 or 3 years
  18. Noticed that too and thought it was ridiculous
  19. One Ugly - can be easily taken care of and should be, totally unnecessary and it's coming from some of our supposed leaders. The personal fouls, taunting, hands to the face. Jernigan with the taunting and Steve Smith last week with the personal foul and this week with the hands to the face - we just need to be smart - play hard within the rules, between the whistles. Steve Smith tough guy act can wear a little thin if he's picking up penalties every week
  20. The good - the interceptions - soooo refreshing to see ball hawking secondary play after all the emphasise on turnovers. Our unit may not be spoken of in the upper tiers but when Jimmys out there - its dangerous. We've added some pieces and shuffled stuff around but I wonder how much adding Leslie Frazier has made a difference - not seeing his name much these days.
  21. Space and Pace with our oline we can't force the run but if we space n pace it will be there and it'll be a lot more dynamic and effective it's painful watching west fight for a yard or 2 when we try and force it, luckily we overcame those situations today
  22. Think Boyles impact is under appreciated. His blocking is helping with the run game and in pass protection - freeing Pitta up to be the pass catching tight end he is. The future looks like Maxx & Boyle
  23. Well that was a lot better. Need to stick with uptempo, spread Offense. Really think our key to success is to establish our short quick passing game first and then work from there. it would be nice to come out and just pound the rock but it seems pretty obvious our best chance for success is to come out up tempo, spread teams out, establish our rhythm, let Joe get in a rythym and everything else seemed to open up from there. We clearly are a pass first team, can't really argue with the results we saw today - when was the last time we had nearly 500 yards of Offense - I think this is what everybody envisaged when we looked at all our weapons on paper
  24. I don't think we're about to over power anybody with our offensive line and establish the run game by sheer will and force - as much as we pride ourselves on that power trench type game. Also contributing to so many holding penalties - I think our line has and is just overmatched - starting with Zuttah, Yandas got one good arm, Stanleys a rookie -how many penalties does he have on the year, Ducasse and Wagner have been serviceable but we're not steamrolling anybody. Everytime we seem to break off a decent run its called back. Spread teams out, 3 n 4 receiver sets, we've got the personnel, go no huddle, get the quick, short passing game going to Wallace and Smith, pick up the pace, run out of the multiple receiver spread formations. Rewatching the Pitt game, with our full strength oline 50 rushing yards on 30 attempts. We come out against Cinci, go no huddle, spread them out, no huge passing plays, just a couple quick sharp strikes to smith, Aiken and a couple passes to Dixon in space - makes guys miss picks up chunks, few nice runs for Dixon, bouncing to the outside space, then we take a shot at the end zone = Perriman TD - no penalties on the drive Then We come back out with the huddle start trying to power run, go away from spreading cinci out and we just bog down. think this approach would def help against Miami and their front
