  1. Yeah I was thinking this but we could still have traded back - got those guys and had our pick of a lot of talent - other than jack n spence who were obviously off the board. Even with the trade backs, was still quite a high 2nd round pick for us I was looking at some of the guys that went after KC, guys that might have come in and possibly contributed straight away but it's all what ifs let it play out, hope KC kills it
  2. 2014 all over again - please God no, we really haven't improved much in that area- we just seem to keep shuffling our deficiencies- it's crazy that we've had a couple drafts now and all we've added is couple of mid round CBs - RIP Tray Walker and a few leftovers here n there. Am I missing something? Not sure what FO is seeing that I'm not
  3. We don't need 7 receivers, we were OK on that side of the ball last year, a 7th receiver is not going to make or break our season Like the big man, bisciotto said - you can never have enough pass rushers. if we're looking at squeezing a few more years out of both sizzle n doom - a move like this would lighten their load - keeps everybody fresher and ups the competition lvl at the position cant hurt bringing in somebody familiar with our system I'd def kick the tires on Kruger
  4. Totally agree on this deal, nobody can foresee his injury but what do we expect when we're bringing in 35 year old guys - it's asking for, guess what, injuries - nothing against the guy, we got lucky with ssr but even his luck ran out, not sure what the front office is playing at - are we that desperate for character and leaders - just get us some ballers who might actually grow with the team, instead of play out a year or 2 and then we're looking to replace them again - quite short sighted
  5. i blame the fact that watson is 35 years old - dudes nearly 40 - absolutely no surprise something like this has happened ( wish him well and a speedy recovery of course) but if we dont have a guy whos closer to 40 than 30 out there, putting in first team work - we walk away from that preseason game with one injury to dixon and we chalk it up to football, which it just was - nothing you can do about it i feel we are getting the freak / football injuries which are part of football, like last year - perriman, elam, forsett, flacco and then i think we are compounding this with fact we have a lot of old guys we really, really count on because we're not getting that young blood through. We're relying so much on these older guys - like Suggs who was 32 last year when he blew his achilles, sss was 36 and carrying our wr corps when he should have been cherry picking his spots - really cant be shocked he went down and cant be a surprise doom is hurting after the work he had to put in last season need to start hitting on these draft picks, develop these players, get younger and lessen the workload on the older players if we expect to get and stay healthy
  6. ??? Marks imply it is a question - not a statement, thus asking for response to the question - do people agree, disagree, why, why not but yeah, I get it
  7. What's embarrassing about it - simply asking for feedback on a players outlook and contribution. are we not allowed to discuss players performance, what we expect from them, discuss draft picks once we've seen some game footage wverybody talking Stanley, Dixon, Reynolds, Moore, just wanted to see what people are thinking on KC or do I have to wait til his careers over before we can discuss?? It's a forum, you chat about stuff, 2nd round draft picks after 3 preseason games should be a relevant topic
  8. not calling him a bust - just interested to see what everybody else thinks of him and whether or not they are happy with the pick / his performance going into the 2016 season particularly when we were a 5 - 11 side, seemingly had quite a few holes, dare i say - still do, particularly on the defensive side and our 2nd round pick, a defensive player - doesnt project to start
  9. should we be drafting projects that high in the second rd
  10. my question looks more at immediate impact - should we be looking for a 2nd round pick to be starting and contributing, particularly given that we were drafting so high in the 2nd, prior to the draft De'Costa was talking up essentially having 2 First round picks because we were picking so high in the 2nd I personally would imagine that who ever we drafted comes in and contributes immediately and is challenging for a starting spot - if we were picking in the late 50's & 60's then not so much still early days but just interested to see what others are thinking of KC after a few preseason games - His performance might also bear a little more weight when our 3rd pick is out for the season, would hate to think we may only get a meaningful contribution from 1 of our top 3 picks this season - especially given they were so high in the draft
  11. The Ugly - missed and sloppy tackling - need to tighten up
  12. I know everybody loving butler but one play that stood out to me - was his catch on 3rd n about 7 - caught it but was tackled immediately- came up short n we went for it on 4th down first qtr - I didn't think he set it up well at the top of his route to create the separation for yac. Who is butler competing with for snaps - intermediate, short stuff - competing with Steve smith, Aiken, camp, Wallace i know everybody is saying we take 7 receivers but given our depth and options - I really don't think we need an extra player there - I think we would rather take another DB or LB, ochi flashed
  13. Happy to get off the field quickly on defense - looked a lot better. Young looked solid in place of Powers
  14. Which corners came in after jimmy and wright went out?
  15. Was powers injured - or did young get the start over him in the slot
  16. At least we have starting quality depth at our skill positions this year, hopefully this is the blueprint moving forward
  17. Would have liked to have seen Davis or Price start today
  18. We need to be getting 7, otherwise we're going to be trading fg all year
  19. So after all the hoopla - we start with Gilmore and maxx by the looks of it
  20. We keep getting all those Achilles- cos half our team is 100 years old
  21. Looked like an Achilles straight away
  22. praying we do not see flacco do a romo - boom second snap there goes your back, that guy is done
  23. Will Suggs or Doom be suiting up??
