Crazy to thing we can go into the season with soooo many receivers- talk about taking 7 and not have somebody we are comfortable with returning kickoffs/punts
At the death, we're working out a guy who is 33 and missed a whole heap of last season - wonder what might happen to him at some stage this year, given that he's one year older, is there a strong chance he may get injured again??
I'm sorry but if this was a public company, people would be fired over this kind of stuff.
Lets go into the season and hope that a guy who hasn't been healthy in his 3 seasons miraculously gets healthy and stays healthy - yep ok that sounds like a strong solid, likely to succeed plan - we happy with that - yep ok
but just in case, we better get a back up, just in case you know, sure it'll be fine but just in case
ok let's draft somebody with no return experience, who was playing as a qb last season, sure he'll be ok at it - yep great, solid backup plan
i know clay didn't work out but damn with so many picks in the draft, you think we could have at least sniffed a return guy
nope we were relying on a oft injured guy, a rookie whoever never returned and know looking at a 33 yr old who missed bill playing time last season.
talk about playing well in all 3 phases - our ST had not filled me with any confidence this season, coverage has been horrible, few dropped punts, haven't looked dangerous returning - had a couple guys you think that was solid we could live with that but nobody you think oh damn he gets some space here - now we don't even know who's going to be the return man - come on get it together, why you get paid the big bucks
