  1. Who are we starting opposite jimmy?
  2. wright is regressing to his mean, i think people forgot, people were walking down the field on our starting defense in the preseason and a large part of it was wright - everybody was calling for somebody else to get a shot at #2 CB, i remember saying give anybody a shot because they couldnt be any worse - then he had one good game against buffalo, everybody off his back but that game was most certainly an outlier. one good game in literally 3 preseason games and 4 regular season games - whilst getting picked on the rest of the time isn't going to cut it. lets give davis, even powers a shot on the outside (amazed we didnt in preseason) - it cant be any worse and if it is - at least we get it out of the way against the skins, at home, who we should be able to account for. A few plays against the jets or giants could cost us the game - it did against the raiders. How many games does he have to cost us before we change it up. We were lucky to get out of jacksonville and cleveland with wins We benched Forsett and look at what happened - 100 yard rushing game for West, Harbaugh talked about people who make plays will play, how about people who dont make plays get pulled and we give other people a chance to show they can do something. a quarter of the season is enough of a test for me, if your stinking it up, come have a seat with me on the bench
  3. If we have 4 loses in a row - somethings gotta change and I would be hitting panic buttons
  4. I think this 3 game stretch will set the tone for the rest of our schedule - if we can get a solid win, not a one score - fg at the death win against Washington. then go into ny playing good football and get a couple wins or at least split and were sitting at 5 - 2, 6 - 1 - I like our chances for the tougher part of our schedule. if we scrape by or lose a couple games here - id like to see a shake up, roll the dice for the rest of this season, with a view to next year coordinators included - I'm looking at you trestman
  5. yeah im looking at buffalo pointing up 31 against the jets and thinking our defense must be doing something right
  6. probably the right spot for it - just wanted to start a thread on week 1 - what you're looking for, things to keep an eye out interested to see how osweiler looks against the bears, should be a nice easy game for him to get started see what the jags are all about - if they come out with a bang and get a w over the packers - that hype train will start picking up some serious steam eyes on the browns, steelers - particularly given weve got washington early, patriots cards should be a good game
  7. I personally was looking for a day one starter on either side of the ball with a high second round pick but let it play out, what the FO and scouting department get paid the big $$ for. Sure they have a plan for KC, like to think so anyway Sit and learn behind Suggs and Doom for a year perhaps
  8. the good - sharrece wright, have to give the man props, was bagging him out and saying he looked poo in the preseason, then read somewhere that he was a bit nicked up last few weeks - he brought it today and was outstanding - great job!! Was bagging the FO for not getting another corner in the offseason or the draft - if Wright keeps that up - no need
  9. Hahaha I was typing thinking where does this R go, is there another R, somebody was having a cry about this the other day - you going to change every single Breshard for the rest of the season - have fun with that hahaha
  10. Jimmy on d, keyed in and comes away with an interception. Chris 'Mr Big Play' Moore, gets loose for a couple of deep shots - 2 or 3 receptions for 100+ yards and a couple Tds Breshard and Moore are the future
  11. what the hell was he doing last season then? we had one deep threat - and he was a rookie, we had gotten away with it ever since jacoby left because some how torrey managed to stay healthy - probably cos hes soft as and avoids contact at any and all opportunities think last season was a real wake up call for the Front Office - getting a little complacent - we started being a trendy superbowl pick - 2 players went down, not having perriman start really hurt us and then Sizzle - just unraveled from there looks like he learnt (the hard way) can never have enough options given that we went 4-0 through the preseason - this clearly speaks to the depth we have assembled
  12. we played the entire season with NO SPEED OR DEPTH THREAT - Im looking at you Ozzie a couple of kids at TE, patchwork line, not a great deal in the way of receiving talent and we still managed to have a respectable offense now that we have balance and talent on all levels i think everything opens right up for - hitting wallace and aiken for some short intermediate stuff, a few slants, get some stuff going on the ground, get the defense biting up - opens everything up over the top and once we connect on that, now you want to sit deep, fine will just punch it down the middle, until you get sick of death by a million cuts and want to come up again, hit you over the top commend trestman on what he acheived with no deep threat when that is our greatest strength - we signed friggn chris givens at the death and tried to trot him out - still looking at you Ozzie ( might have been a master plan to tank for a year though)
  13. Could have kept Doom on PUP - guy practised for a few days n been on the shelf ever since, guys old let him rehab for the easy part of the schedule - come back fresh, when the schedule gets tough - lot of hindsight now re how some of our guys have ramped it up - judon could have kept Ochi or Brooks
  14. I also find it interesting Pees is down on the sideline now - bit more first hand accountability, the man is clearly on thin ice - would anybody argue to the contrary?
  15. Agree with Sami - no playoffs 3 out of 4 - heads will be on the chopping block. Although I temper that statement with a lot of *** if we go 9 - 7, there will be leeway - if we go 6-10 people will get fired. depending on which unit does what will dictate who were pointing fingers at.
  16. I think the defense just needs to be - bend don't break for a year. I think we'll be loading up on defensive guys - undoubtedly throughout the secondary in this next draft. Again, I'm viewing this as a foundation year - so much new talent coming in, a realisation that we need a different approach in order to keep up in the air it out, faster league. Feel good about our Offense might need a bit of tweaking on the line but hopefully we don't need to spend picks on - WR, RB, TE, QB Hopefully we throw some top end picks at secondary talent, to come in and grow behind guys like williams, Jernigan, cj, and some of the young guys we drafted this year. I just want to see some solid foundations this year, if we're middling im OK with that, look to build upon it next year and then we can't start bringing the swag
  17. Im just viewing this year as a foundation year for the next chapter in Ravens history. If we can come in mid table Id be happy for the future If we can have some continuity on offense - as in the same coordinator, the same few guys out there - Flacco throwing to Breshad, Wallace, Moore, Maxx, having some continuity on the line and getting our young backs reps, dixon, west and buck - a year together - we might not blow the league away this year but Im pretty optimistic for the future with the young group we have on the roster right now with the old hands providing some veteran leadership. This offense in a couple years could be very dynamic - just need to get a return guy who isnt 60 haha
  18. Just wondering what people are thinking in relation to our 2nd pick - KC. From what I've seen - Im assuming he doesnt start and heard some chatter he doesnt dress on Sundays Could we have been better served targeting a CB or a different player with this pick - to help us NOW for 2016? Could we have drafted a project LB in a latter round and actually drafted an impact starter? Interested to hear peoples thoughts
  19. I take everything mink and co say with a grain of salt - should just give them pom poms n be done with it
  20. Agree re the hurdle - actually wish they'd use a spin move instead, feet are still on the ground and they can keep churning for extra yards - once they're in the air lose all drive
  21. forgot brady was out - hopefully they get smoked cheating filth
  22. Any reports on this? Have we cut Powers? Think Will Davis and Young could hold it down just as well probably better
  23. think we get this done but as ive said in a few threads now - we're juggling so many balls at the moment - this might not be a pretty win and we could even drop this qb - retunring from season ending injury, rookies starting on the o'line, only one player wr with in game experience with the team unless smith starts and hes returning from season ending injury, rb returning from season ending injury, 2 new safeties, new ilb, olb returning from season ending injury the infirmary's back on deck and we sprinkled in some rookies and new hands to give em a hand - wont be surprised if we dont light the world on fire out the gate - happily settle for a low scoring scrappy affair - long as we get a W - even if we dont not the end of the world, more i think about it - could really be a bit of a 2 year process - get some continuity this year - turbo charge it next year
  24. i dont really view this as a kc vs spence or jack conversation anymore- if we werent sold on either player, the trade back and picking up extra picks look good to me We've added a deep threat, big play guy in Chris Moore and a budding pass rusher in Matt Judon I look more at who was still on the board when we picked KC, all what ifs though If one of these players reach a high level, I think the front office has done their job, if 2 reach a high level thats a great job, if all 3 hit - you get to be the Wizard
  25. COULD EARN - max $4 mil - i presume in order to earn that much he'll be getting into the end zone and in the top handful of return guys in the league at which point we'll probably say it was money well spent, otherwise i cant imagine its more than a couple mil. We have a huge hole at the position - its def stop gap and last minute - fingers crossed it works, the whole situation seems a bit desperate for me, but let it play out so many balls in the air for this team going into this season - injured guys coming back, rookies, free agents - prob a huge reason we kept pees - bringing in a new coordinator would have just been too much
