I'm glad Ozzie & company are going back to what they've always done best- Defense. I think Steve B is also sending a message to Flacco with these defensive picks- the last 2 years have given you a 1st round WR, 2nd round TE and 1st round LT. If you're truly worth the money we're paying you then elevate your play and lead this offense.

Personally, I'm sick of hearing about how Joe's struggles are supposedly due to the O Line...or the WRs...or his RBs. Enough is enough- elevate your game, Joe.

The offensive line sucked.  Tom Brady would look like a scrub with this line.  At the end of the day the OLine is the most important part of everything.  The reason Dak looked so good is because that line was insane.  Dak was an average QB, at best, but that line made him look great.  If you have a bad line though even a great QB can look below average.

  2. The depth and quality of the defense is insane this year.  They are loaded at every position with both youth and talent.  I dont think there is a better unit in the NFL on paper right now then the Ravens defense.  The problem is the offense still needs one RT and one WR.

That clutch offense scored all of 6 points the 2nd half while turning the ball over.  Before this draft it was 2 firsts on offense and 2 on defense.  Now 3 on def.  That's insanse!  Which side of the ball lost more at that time?  Also, what positions were needed and what were the strong points of that draft?  No problem with you, but I will not miss these discussions.  You are just as strong willed(stubborn) as I am.

Are you really being critical of the offense for putting 34 points against a team that was being called one of the best defenses of the past decade? People would have been stunned if they hit 20 points but they put up 34.

IDK- we seem to be drafting as if we still have Ray Lewis and Ed Reed on the team- future HOF players who will magically turn raw talent into Pro Bowlers. We have no HOF players on the roster! Suggs put up his best numberz and had his greatest swagger his first 10 years but has quieted down considerably since Reed and Lewis departed. I'm hearing how Bowser is sooo athletic. Ok, so was John Simon but he did nothing with Baltimore. Perriman was sooo fast, but hasn't lived up to a 1st round billing. So far this draft seems to be more focused on eventual contribution rather than immediate impact.

You are acting like Lewis and Reed were coaches when they really were not.  The coaches coached up the players.  Yes, having elite players on the roster makes the job of other players easier but they were not the ones who made those players great.  That is an insult both to those players and the coaching staff to just assume a role of Lewis and Reed that they just did not play.

We won a SB with Reed & Lewis on there to coach up the others. And even then they nearly lost that SB giving up a 28-3 lead.Since, the defense has done nothing and everyone makes excuses for him.

Oh we tried one draft so go us lol How many have we devoted to defense in Pees' time here and STILL the defense is not reliable?

We almost lost that lead because SF realized that Ray was not an asset on the field.  They were going after him the entire 2nd half and we got really lucky that they just did not have enough time to finish the comeback.

Don't assume Kizer is their future.  They still have two firsts next year and plenty of time to tank if they like someone.

If the rumors were right and they liked Mitch (I dont but if they did) they should have said okay and thrown whatever it took to get to 2 and get that guy.  If not then dont waste time being cute trying to maybe find a QB who might be the guy but needs time to develop.  I think the Browns are reasonably close.  They are maybe one more good draft(after this one) away from being the Raiders of two years ago but they need a QB to become that and then to keep developing to become the Raiders of now.

Unlike other teams they are actually providing him with help.  The Browns will be a good team in 3-4 years.

Every once and awhile you see this team that is complete and could be a powerhouse in the NFL but they have no QB.  Houston is that team right now, it was SF for a few years and it was the Chiefs before that and around a decade ago I remember it being the Browns.  All those teams they had the same problems.  Garbage QB means you top out at around 9 wins.

That's because your defense shouldn't completely disappear because of ONE GUY> That is just an excuse for Pees. If Suggs goes down, oh it's not Pees' fault the defense is garbage. If Jimmy goes down, oh that isn't Pees' fault they give up 4th quarter leads routinely.

Except that it is a trend since Pees came here. And no one wants to admit it.

Offensively it is because we lack any playmakers at all because we never seem to draft any in the last 5 or 6 years.

The trend is whenever Jimmy goes down the secondary is horrible and when Suggs went down the front 7 was horrible.

Its not really a hard thing to notice.  When you lose an ELITE CB who you base your entire scheme around its hard to just continue to do your thing and expect it to work.

Teams gotta out score us. Good luck.

This is a secondary and edge rush draft. We should have some real solid third round targets like elflein, moton, bisnowaty, and plenty others. The mid rounds is where the OL is strong this year

I am one of the people who thinks the Ravens do not need to draft a Center.  The Ravens decided to part ways with Zuttah which they never do unless they have someone better ON the roster.  The ravens do not rely on rookies without a backup plan on the roster in case those go badly and they seem to think they have one or they would not have gotten rid of Zuttah.  Now RT does seem to be a massive problem.  Also a minor concern is WR but other than that I am not really worried about the Ravens roster.

But it would be okay if she broke his jaw, right? Case dropped.

If he pushes her away or answers with a slap I would not say he is wrong because if you attack someone you had better be prepared for the consequences of that, but answering a slap with a full swing is insane.  If that is his anger management he is going to be a massive problem in the NFL.

Not saying, we would have gone Humphrey if Jones was taken before us. All I said was I believe a healthy Jones goes before 16, said nothing else.

Unless you are saying someone values him over Lattimore then you are going between teams 12 and 15 or the Texans who were going to take the QB, the Cardinals, the Eagles, or the Colts.  So basically either Jones is available or Barnett or Riddick are available.  That scenario would have been amazing.

Yeah but unlike Flacco, Cam is capable of making big plays with both his arm and his feet. He can do this thing called "extending plays", like you would expect a 120 million dollar QB  to do too.

Not every QB has to be mobile.  Tom Brady can not extend plays nor could Peyton but they are worth more than any of the people in the 120 club.   I get that bashing Flacco is cool but you have to tailor your offense to the skillsets present.

Cam needs certain types of players and Flacco needs different types of players.
