Maybe the Ravens should consider drafting a LT. I mean getting a great WR or Corner can be done anywhere in the draft but getting a franchise LT is often found only in the upper half of the first round and the Ravens probably will not be drafting there for a long while.
I would say the QB with a 14M dollar cap hit and that is the highest it has been the past 3 years is not only not a cap issue but one of the most team friendly things that could have happened.
Drafting D sounds nice but if there were 1 more real offensive threat then the Ravens would be 7-0. If anything they may wanna trade back if they dont think there is a pro bowler available when they pick (somewhere in the top 10 most likely) and try to get a couple good players they can develop. However the Ravens will most likely sign a bunch of players in FA because they HATE having projected starters being rookies in the draft unless they actually earn it.
As an aside from a few plays ago I was really happy to see Buck Allen not overextend his arm and possibly get the TD but also possibly fumble the ball.
A WR screen is still a screen. The problem was he had to release the ball so fast that the people blitzing on that side did not even have to commit and just went and made the tackle. Not to mention excellent secondary coverage of course .
I still dont hate the Ravens defense considering they dont have Suggs (which has REALLY hurt the run D). Every game they put the Ravens in position to win the game on offense and the Offense just lacks the weapons to capitalize.
You have the ball with 2 minutes to go with a chance to win all 6 games and you just dont is not the mark of a terrible team, its just the mark of a team that lacks a great playmaker but its so easy to see how the Ravens could be 6-0 right now.
