That depends on if the Ravens would have a head to head over both teams because if so that is the lead tiebreaker. For this tiebreaker the Ravens would have it though due to a 5-1 division record.

Every draft there are about 8-12 players with the basement of an average starter and the ceiling of a problem bowler and that's the top half of the first round and after that either the ceiling or basement gets lower. In this instance the ceiling is still pro bowler but the basement is bused and which he is depends on both him and his development but if you want to go for a home run in 2nd round sometimes that comes risking a downside. The nice upside is that with how solid the LBs have been they haven't been forced to rush his development so next year if they were right about him we will see what he can do.

KC is not a this year pick, he is one of those picks you basically red shirt for a year/year and a half and when ready hope he can light the world on fire. Im far more surprised at the production out of the later rounds of this draft. It basically drastically reduced the amount of needs for the Ravens entering next years draft to basically a new center (seriously if a good one is in the first round grab it) and maybe a 3rd corner. After that I would not expect any of the Ravens draft picks or free agents next year to even need to be anything which is the hallmark of a terrific drafting class.

Yes and in the games Hurst started he was still single handedly bringing down the entire offense. Also for another example look at Denvers offense right now. They are pathetic, and that is also not on coaching, its on the fact that the players just are not very good.

Kubiak had a better line then what has been given to the Ravens this year though. Coaches can get the most out of the players but when the line sucks there is very little that you can do about it.

I would argue it is actually the least important aspect. Look at the team the Ravens just beat the Eagles. For years they had Andy Reid as a coach and the fans hated him for how he was bad at every decision he made but they havnt been nearly as good since he was fired because he was great at everything else involved in being a coach and his new team is competing for the top seed in the AFC. Using your test analogy its better to actually know the information on the test and not have the best judgement calls when taking it then just going in ill prepared and winging it. Edit: Saw KC lost today but it still doesnt change the fact that KC went from terrible to a perenial playoff team the moment they got him. Getting more out of players then you were is the biggest part of being a coach.

Its not going to be his last year because the Ravens are a good organization and good organizations do not just roll over coaches constantly. As to what they see they probably see more than you are. The job of a head coach is not just whether to go for it on 4th down, its game preparation, player development, and being able to get the most out of the talent you have. In all of those fields unless you are putting blinders on you can not argue that John Harbaugh has been exceptional and that is why his job is safe.

Predicting the Ravens winning 27-26 is impressive but can you predict the Ravens win next week as well.

Thats just standard football rules right there. You would rather have that one play that decides the game be as late as possible and keep door open as long as possible.

Or you could say it the other way, its never about the few bad plays that make no sense its about ALL the other ones which are smart football plays.
