  1. Actually, an NFL player has to be responsible for whatever goes into their bodies. The NFL does and will tell an NFL player, if they request if something is approved or not, advise them if it will or will not be triggered for a substance they test for. I am sure that part of the rookie symposium back in training camp, the coaches emphasize this...but players need to stay on top of it. Lapse in judgement, taking something without consulting the NFL whether it was legal or not. Lesson learned, and move on.
  2. The conception that we draft for ST is absurd. We draft best player available. Those players play on Offense and Defense. The players whom fill in the holes on Offense and Defense, but do not fill in the starting roles, are Special Teams contributors. When presented with opportunities to play on Offense or Defense, can earn their snaps by making plays during practice, and in game. If you think we draft players to be great on ST over Offense or Defense, you have not been paying attention. We just have really great ST coaches...bottom line, Harbaugh and Rosburg are the best in the business.
  3. Actually, I didn't miss Canty. He was blowing up their line every chance he got. He might not have gotten the stats, but I noticed!
  4. Now that Joe is injured, he finally gets respect from Analysts. SMH. Has there ever been a team before that lost their starting QB, RB, WR, TE, C, OLB, 1st round rookie to IR? Sick to my stomach right now
  5. Another thing we miss from Torrey is his ability to draw flags against defenders. He was #1 in the league last year at drawing PI penalties, and this year we have only had 1 PI flag thrown against a defense we are playing against.
  6. parity* not parody
  7. Here's my thought....glad they responded....but What the heck?!!! Why does somebody gotta get in your a$$, to do your job? Just do your job. Secondly, somebody get on Asa's butt....You can bet that our next opponent will make sure that the Ref's are watching #27 closely on Extra Points and Field Goals. We can't give up 5 yards if they call us for jumping offsides. Great play, but clean up the timing. It will come to bite us later, if we don't clean it up now.
  8. Definitely something, and not wind. You can see it takes effort to open that door, and the tree doesn't move, so it couldn't be wind. Strange indeed. Good find.
  9. How many other teams have a former NFL Defensive Player of the Year on IR??? OK, so that has to count for something.
  10. Targeting players open in the middle of the field, with no time outs in the 2 minute drill is horrible decision making at its best. If you blow your time outs earlier in the 2nd half, the solution is simple. Target players closer to the sidelines, so they can get out of bounds, and preserve game clock. I know, Monday morning QB's always know so much more than those on the field, right? Of course I know that the defense is willing to give up plays in the middle of the field. My point is, this whole article becomes a moot point if they managed the clock better, and Joe gets the ball to someone who can step out of bounds, and stop the clock from running.
  11. THIS....THIS IS OUR SUPERBOWL!!!! YES!!!!
  12. Wish they would just cut the preseason down to 2 games, make the regular season 18 games, and increase the roster spots to allow more than 53 roster spots already. I don't make this recommendation out of loss of love for the players, I want the coaches to have enough time to evaluate new players as well. I want to keep as many valuable players on our roster. With the number of injuries teams have to deal with, 53 man roster seems too low to me. It is time that the league lets these teams keep more players on their roster. I wish you guys all the luck, and hope you land somewhere.
  13. Congrats Ravens on the Emmy, well deserved. You guys do great work on video production, and web content. Keep up the great work!
  14. What I don't understand from all the "Analysts" is all the hate that Joe gets. I mean he has had Cam Cameron, Jim Caldwell, Gary Kubiak, and now Jim Trestman. Mind you that Jim Caldwell didn't implement his own new system, and just continued doing more of what Cam did to keep Joe fresh. Kubiak implemented the West Coast offense, and Trestman is only doing more of what Kubiak transitioned our offense to. Yet, all the hate for Joe. Not that I should really care what they say, it's just straight disrespect that a Super Bowl winning QB, who gets the important stat - W's, continues to be ranked lower than QB's who struggle to lead their team to the playoffs. Don't get me wrong...Joe struggles when facing tough defenses, but we also win against tough defenses. Not in spite of Joe, but because of Joe and our tough defense. We are successful because of our team...not one person. I would take Joe over Romo, Smith, and Stafford any day of the week, because we compete for championships. Those 3 are good for Fantasy owners. I would rather not play fantasy, and have my team in the dance every year, than vice versa.
  15. Should have done it on 12/20.... Home game on the 20th of the month.
  16. I hope Ed can join the Ravens coaching staff in the secondary. Not that our secondary coaches need help, but Ed has expressed a desire to coach in the past. Plus, who better to pass the torch to teach the men we draft, how to play like a Raven, prepare like a Raven, and dissect game film, other than the likes of Ed. I have so many fond memories of Ed roaming in the secondary, and destroying the days of many great QB's. Ed...THANK YOU FOR THE MEMORIES!!!! Enjoy retirement, but I do hope you still have more to contribute to the game. REEEEEEEEED!!!! I will still be donning my Alternate #20 jersey every Sunday!
  17. Y'all play Fantasy Football...Ozzie does it for real!
  18. Great article Coach! Not only are you a great coach, and can lead our team to win games, which is what we all love. Let's be honest, who doesn't love winning? Steve and Ozzie do too! But more important than wins, John is a great man, teacher, and role model. Take the game beyond the X's and O's, and the W's and L's. John is someone I want my kids to look up to, and see as a role model for the future of Football, and Baltimore. Football matters, as stated by John for various reasons of teaching young men how teamwork is more important than the individual accolades. John coaches like a Raven! #RavensNation
