  1. Actually you're just stating mostly opinions.
  2. I was going to do a mock and I had VH3 and Ngakoue as my 1st-2nd as well. Lol. Tunsil is my #1 overall want, but I think the Titans take him to protect Mariota. Protecting Flacco's blindside is key, but Tunsil will be off the board and I don't think Stanley is worth a top 5 pick. I'd actually have a hard time picking him in the top 10 honestly. He just doesn't impress me. I just don't think he'd be a good fit for the Ravens offense. He's a better fit for a finesse team. He's not a smash-mouth kind of guy imo. I like Hargreaves as our pick. He and Jimmy would be a solid tandem. Hargreaves stats weren't as impressive this year, but that just says he hasn't been targeted as much. Down stats for a corner is a good thing. With Suggs and Doom both in their golden years, we need a fresh, young 3-4 hybrid OLB/DE and Ngakoue fits that mold to a tee imo. If he's there at the beginning of the 2nd he'd be an excellent value pick. I think there's a very good chance his stock jumps though and he finds his way into the 1st rd. If he's there in the early 2nd, he's a no-brainer. The kid has decent size for a hybrid OLB, he has long arms and he gets after it. He definitely has a knack for getting to the ball. He's done well against top talent like Schreff, Peat, Conkling and the dude from tOSU(forget his name) amongst others. OT, but a move I'd be interested in seeing Ozzie make since we have like seven picks in the first four rounds is that I'd be interested in seeing Oz trade a 3rd and 4th rd pick(plus healthy contract) to get Alshon Jeffery. He's definitely the best receiver in FA and the kid produces. He's in his prime as well. Between Jeffery and Perriman(hopefully) and a future stud TE in Williams Joe would have a few stud targets and we could finally get all of Joe's potential. I think that kind of trade is doable. Another player I'd be interested in seeing Oz make a similar trade for if the Jeffery deal couldn't work out is safety Eric Berry. I've always been a huge Berry fan. I'd love to see a secondary consisting of Smith, VH3 and Berry. I think it could rival Seattle's secondary. I'm just ranting now, but I think one of those trades could potentially happen. As far as the VH3/Ngakoue as the 1-2 guys I'm all for that. Btw, the Ravens need to throw the kitchen sink at Pagano and get him back to BMore. I'm so over our DC. We need to get back to bring a top 3 defense every year. Lol. A man can dream.
  3. God, I hope not. I'm an Oregon fan and I live in Eugene so I've had a chance to see both Goff and Cook play live and I've watched them on TV on a few more occasions and I'll tell you right now, they are not franchise QBs. I don't even think they are 1st round QBs, but since this is such a down year for QBs, they'll both go in the 1st round. Goff is definitely the better of the two, but that's not saying much. I've never been impressed by Cook. Ivé said all along that he's overrated. Goff has a live arm, good mechanics, but he's inconsistent at times and tends to throw too high...a lot. He's going to be a pick machine in the league imo. Honestly I won't even get into Cook because he shouldn't even be in consideration for our 1st rd pick. I think Joe will be fine. Modern medicene is top notch and athletes come back from torn ACLs and continue to play at an extremely high level. Joe still has a handful of good years ahead of him. The FO needs to do a better job of protecting him and finally get him some elite talent to throw the ball to. I love bringing in the vets like Mason, Boldin and SSS, but Joe needs a Julio Jones go to guy and then the vet guys can be extremely solid #2 receivers. Is Perriman that elite guy? Nobody knows. He has the frame and the 40 time, but all of the film I've watched on him, he doesn't play like he has 4.2 speed. There's plenty of other receivers who are a lot more explosive out of their routes and at getting open. Maybe he can utilize his 4.2 speed on go routes, but a one dimensionsal receiver with questionable hands isn't an elite weapon imo. I'm not trying to put Perriman dowm, but I never saw him as a true #1 receiver. I think he could be a solid #2, but he's not on an elite level imo. Hope I'm wrong and he becomes the man, but I can't say I'm confident. And when the heck is he ever going to play? Who really knows what's going on with him? Anyway, I got away from the OT. I would definitely not take Goff or Cook in the 1st round especially if it's to replace Joe. Maybe take one of them for trade bait, but that's the extent of it. If the Ravens were really wanting to get a QB to replace Joe, I'd want a kid like UCLAs Josh Rosen or Baylors Jarret Stidham, but they're both true freshman so there's no real way to guarantee getting them when they're eligible and there's no way to guarantee they'll stay healthy. Fwiw, if they both are healthy by the time they're eligible they are going to ball out at the next level. Rant done.
  4. With a lot of glaring issues on this Ravens squad it's time to get over this season and think about the future. The Ravens are playing themselves into a top 5 pick so at least that's some exciting news. Question is, where do you go with a top 5 pick with so many holes? Does Oz go old school and try to build a formidable D again? Does he try and get stout in the trenches? Does he get a dynamic playmaker for Joe? Perriman is an absolute mystery and thus far a bust. He was the biggest boom or bust pick in the 1st round and so far he's been the latter. I know he hasn't played a down yet in professional football, but that's the problem. Will he ever be healthy? With the FO being so hush-hush it makes me believe his injury is more serious than speculated. With a top 5 pick these are the guys I would target if I was Oz(no particular order)... 1) DE- Joey Bosa(Ohio St) 2) DE- Robert Nkemdiche(Ole Miss) 3) DB- Jalen Ramsey(Florida St.) 4) LT- Laremy Tunsil(Ole Miss) 5) LT- Ronnie Stanley(Notre Dame) 6) CB- Vernon Hargreaves III(Florida) 7) WR- Lequon Treadwell(Ole Miss) These are the names that are, in my opinion, all worth a top 5 pick. Bosa would give us a stout, edge setting, pass rushing presence on the edge. Nkemdiche is a beast as well, but I'm still not completely sold on him. I question his motor at times, but when he's on, he's really on. He could end up being a Hall of Famer or he could just be another good football player. I think he's worth a top 5 pick. I could also see him dropping a little. Ramsey could be an immediate impact guy in a very vulnerable injury-prone secondary and his diversity could land him at safety or corner. Both Tunsil and Stanley are franchise left tackles in my opinion. I don't think Monroe is as bad as some think he is, but for a franchise QB to succeed you need a franchise left tackle and Monroe is not that. Plus, he's a liability. You can't have instability at the blindside or you're going to find your multi-million dollar QB in the dirt or pressured way too much as we've seen with Joe and Monroe this season. I miss the days of watching the greatest left tackle to ever play in the NFL. If Tunsil or Stanley could be 70% of what Ogden was then we'd be good to go. Monroe needs to be replaced and the two names I've mentioned would be good gets. On to Hargreaves. Vernon is undersized, but he makes up for it with his dynamic play. We have a taller, physical corner in Jimmy so I'd be fine with a guy like Hargreaves who can stay on the hip of any receiver you put in front of him. Then there's Treadwell. Oz really seems to have bad luck with receivers, but he would have to strike gold eventually. Right? As I mentioned before, Perriman is a mystery so should Oz go get a dynamic playmaker in Treadwell? Can Joe finally have a young, big, physical, fast(fast enough) playmaker to get the ball to? Again, I'd be cool with Treadwell in the top 5. Ideally, I'd like the first five guys I mentioned over Treadwell, but if that's who Oz did decide to go with, I'd be cool with it. like to see him try and make a splash in free agency and get a receiver who is young and a big playmaker. Alshon Jeffery comes to mind. He is going to be a free agent and I'd like to see Oz make a move for him. Will he have the cash? Maybe, maybe not, but Jeffery has proven to be a true #1 receiver. He's had a few 1000 yard seasons and that was with Cutler throwing him the ball. We need that type of production and target for Joe. Alshon is young and a proven stud. Another free agent I'd like to see Oz pursue is Von Miller. With Suggs wearing thin due to injuries and Doom in his last years, it would be nice to get a beast pass rusher in his prime. Miller is good for double digit sacks and he brings more to the table than just being an explosive rusher. He's a good all around LB. Unfortunately, the money probably won't be there for either of thesemantic two, but if Oz can download a large chunk of the roster to free up some cap then those are the two names I'd like to see him pursue in free agency. Other names in the draft I'd like to see Oz pursue if the Ravens somehow win enough games to put themselves in the mid to late 1st round are... 7) DE- DeForest Buckner(Oregon) 8) OLB- Leonard Floyd(UGA) 9) OLB- Darron Lee(Ohio St) 10) CB- Kendall Fuller(Va.Tech) 11) CB- Tre'Davious White(LSU) 12) S - Sua Cravens(USC) 13) OG- Vadal Alexander(LSU) 14) OG- Cody Whitehair(KSU) 15) DE- Adolphus Washington(OSU) 16) WR- Michael Thomas(OSU) 17) WR- Tyler Boyd(Pitt) 18) DE- Emanuel Oghba(Okl.St) Agree/disagree? Who are names you'd like to see as a top 5 pick? Who are some free agents you'd like to see the Ravens pursue? What offseason Moves would you like to see?
  5. They're really not. Goff is the only one who is worth a 1st rd pick imo and I'm not sure he'll be a franchise guy. Cook is way overrated. Hackenberg is a hack. Prescott will not be a successful NFL QB imo. Definitely a down year for QBs. That said, there's a good chance at least two or three of them go in the 1st rd. I just don't know if a team would be willing ti throw the bank out there in order to get Goff. Too early to tell.
  6. Shaq Thompson was in last years draft.
  7. Man the D is struggling. Our front seven is getting gashed. We are really missing Suggs and Jernigan.
  8. Look at Gillmore scrapping for that tug. Good job buddy.
  9. Wow! The Ravens are making the Raiders look good. I love Webby, but he's not a #2 CB anymore. His best football is behind him. Oz crapped the bed not getting a corner in the first two rounds or picking up a competent CB in FA. I still think we should've traded up to get Marcus Peters. He's playing like a true #1 corner so far so you throw him at #2 with Jimmy at #1 and that's a nasty CB unit. Oz probably could've picked up Peters in rd 1 and then traded up in rd 2 tk get Perriman. I don't think I recall any other teams really wanting Perriman in rd 1. I think he easily could've dropped to the early 2nd. Oh well. Moot point now. Oz needs to bring in a corner in FA or get one in the first two rounds of the draft next year. Anyway, Flacco is in rhythm right now and throwing darts.
  10. I'll piggy-back on what most have said. The OL needs to give Joe time and the receivers need to get seperation. Even when Joe did have time the receivers could not get open for the most part. Hopefully Perriman comes back soon and plays like a 1st rd pick. We absolutely need a deep threat for many reasons. It will help spread it put for the other receivers and it will open up the running game. Tress should've run the ball more to open up the passing game, but let's face it, the OL was getting abused all day. They couldn't protect Joe, nor did they open lanes for Forsett and Allen. SSS is gone after this season so Oz really needs to find another vet WR who can get it done. And actually play for more than a few seasons. Spend the cash and get a pro bowler in his prime to go along with Perriman. Give Joe some real weapons to work with. Absolute shame about Sizzle. My heart goes out to him. He's a Raven through and through and it's unfortunate that this is most likely how his stellar career will end. Fortunately, the D looks very good and are very young. Bring Jernigan into the mix and it only gets dirtier. They played quite well and will only get better. Smith needs to stay healthy because he's a top 5 corner in the league imo. Dude has everything you want in a lockdown corner. Good job D. an't wait ti see them improve even more as the season goes on. Oz needs to address the lack of playmakers on the O though. Like I said, just one pro bowl caliber receiver in his prime, Perriman and Gilmore/Williams, Forsett/Allen and the offense is ready to rock. Obviously we aren't getting that receiver this season, but it's something that should be done in the offseason to build for the future. Especially with SSS moving on after the season.
