Rather roll the dice(and pay the price) with Terrele Pryor than go for an over-the-hill, headcase in Marshall. Pryor will have a hefty price tag, but the guy had 1000 yd season as a first year receiver with garbage QBs throwing to him. Throw in that he has great size, decent speed and he is in his prime. I think he is worth the price tag if the FO has the money to spend(which I have no clue if they do.) Anyone know what range Pryor will be asking? I think he is a star in the making and he would be a long term solution for Joe. Maybe it's about time to try and get a young, long term answer for Joe.

Hopefully the FO doesn't over think this draft. Rd1- CB Rd2- OLB/DE Rd3- ILB Mixture of OT, RB, QB, DL, BPA, etc for the remaining rounds. Find a vet WR in FA who is South of 30.

OMG!!! Joe is absolutely horrendous. Joe has had his moments and won us a SB, but he has passed his prime(although he should be in it). His contract was the start of the demise of this organization. Time to burn it all down and rebuild. Ozzie has lost his touch, we have literally zero talent on offense and while the D is okay, they are the good enough to win enough games. Flacco's decision making is mind numbingly bad. Eh, just throw into coverage while your in the redzone. Just God awful. Straight up depressing.

Man Joe has really regressed . It doesn't help that that Ozzie has never given him a true #1 weapon, but regardless , that was a terrible throw/decision.

Hopefully this move helps. A good coordinator has to take what their personnel gives them. Our OL is decent in run protection, but sub-par in pass pro. So obviously we should be a running a lot more. If we become a run first team we will win more games. Pretty simple stuff. Plus, with the running game being the focal point of the offense it will just open up the passing game. Run, run, run and make teams crowd the box and then find Wallace over the top for sixes. Not sure why Tressman was trying to force plays from an inconsistent QB with little firepower at receiver and a below average line at pass pro. Also, I'm over Ozzie and Harbs not getting Joe a true #1 receiver. I get that they tried with Perriman, but it was pretty clear that he was a huge gamble to be that guy. He was definitely not worth a #1 pick. He was a combine warrior and Oz bought in hook, line, sinker. The FO can't keep relying on bringing in these veteran receivers whose best football is behind them. Sure, they'll get some production from them, but they aren't the type of guys who can just take a game over consistently. Enough with the veteran experiment and go out and get Joe a young, star to be.

Oz has past his prime and DeRosta is out of his element. The FO had a ton to work with in this draft and didn't utilize it. There are maybe two or three guys in this draft that will make an impact and I'm not quite sure if the impact will be great. Where Oz used to be playing chess, he is now playing checkers. The FO has drafted poorly the last handful of years, have made terrible contractual deals that have put us in the hole as far as cap space goes. They've put dead money into guys who barely play because they are constantly fighting injuries. I could go on, but I think the point is clear. The FO is no longer ahead of the curve. Pease should've been replaced years ago. For a team that's known for D, the D has been rather pedestrian lately. I love this team, but some changes need to be made in the hierarchy. The Ravens were set up in this draft to really add some key, young components, but the FO got a bunch of guys who will most likely be on the practice squad. I usually try to be optimistic and have faith in Oz and Co, but they've lost their edge imo. Time for some change Steve. At least we might have a chance at getting Myles Garrett next year, but Ozzie would probably just trade back for a few 5th round picks. Lol.

I guess we will just have to wait and see how these picks pan out, but they are definitely head scratchers considering the options that were there. I love Oz, but it's possible his age is catching up with him. He has not made good personnel decisions in recent years. Hopefully these three picks pan out.

Agreed. Treadwell is the best receiver in the class, but he's not a future #1 receiver imo. He'll most likely end up as a possession receiver. He has good size, good hands, good body control, decent athleticism, but he lacks top end speed. He's maybe worth a late 1st Rd pick if a team is in dire need of a receiver, but I wouldn't grade him out as a 1st rounder.

Jack and Bosa are reaches as top 5 picks imo. I think Bosa could be good as long as a team that runs a 4-3 gets him. He's a 4-3 open end or possibly even a 3 tech. Jack is that guy who climbs the board every year because of his athleticism and combine numbers. Then ESPN hypes him up because they watched a limited amount of film on him and then all of the sudden he's a "can't miss" prospect. Lol. Watch full games, not just highlights. He's not a top 10 pick in this draft. I think he's a mid to late 1st Rd pick without his injury. With the injury, I wouldn't touch him with a 1st Rd pick, let alone pk6. As far as complete reaches, if some team takes Nkemdiche in the 1st rd, they are getting screwed. He's definitely a reach in the 1st rd. I remember a lot of people around here were salivating at getting him in the top 10. Just goes to show that TV and mock drafts can easily influence people. The guy did nothing in college.

So Bosa didn't pop hot for weed? I've also heard pot might not just be the extent of his issues. I think Buckner is a far safer pick and an all around better fit for the Ravens. He's been playing in a 2 gap 3-4 defense his whole college career so he's more versatile imo. A lot of guys who play in 4-3 defenses struggle if they have to switch to a 2 gap system when they go to the pros. Just my opinion obviously. I feel Buckner is the better fit and I personally feel he's the better player. And as far as locker room presence he's squeaky clean.

Cravens will be a better pro than Jack imo. I really don't get all they hype around Jack. Every draft there's a guy that climbs the board because of his athleticism and combine numbers. Jack is that guy imo. I think there are much better options than Jack at pk6 especially when you're dealing with someone coming off of a knee injury. Jack has played his collegiate ball in sunny Socal in the P12. He would not hold up in the cold winters of the Mid-Atlantic and the physicality of the AFCN. He is good in coverage, but he is not a thumper, he'd rather elude a block instead of thumping. He's a 4-3 backer imo. He'd do well in space against spread teams, but would get exposed against pro-style power run teams. He could be the biggest boom or bust guy predicted to go in the top 10. Thats a gamble Ozzie can't afford imo. There's safer and better picks to be had a 6. I'd much rather have Tunsil, Ramsey, Buckner, Bosa or even VH3 at 6(in that order). Then get a guy like Cravens in the 2nd/3rd rd if you want a Jack style of player.

I think he would totally be a WILL in our D, but I was trying to suggest he's not the elite coverage/sideline to sideline guys a lot of people claim he is. In my post I mentioned that Oregon's TE completely took him to school and so did the running backs(in coverage) and on running plays the OL/TE made him look silly when pulling. He didn't get off blocks very well from what I saw. He might look good against lesser talent, but when he went up against better competition he was exposed. And my point about him not being a good pass rushing OLB(SAM or Buck/hybrid) to get after the QB was just to suggest that's the kind of OLB the FO should be looking to take and he doesn't fit that mold.

1: Tunsil- franchise LT 2: Ramsey- Best overall player in the draft imo. Can play corner or safety. I personally think he'd be a Pro-Bowl caliber safety. He'd be an above average corner with maybe a few pro-bowl visits, but I think he'd excel at safety. 3: Buckner- I live in Eugene and have seen every single one of Buckners games since he got to the UO. The man is an absolute beast and he progressed every year at Oregon. He still has yet to reach his ceiling imo. At home games at Autzen, I would watch him interact with the team and he is a bonified leader. He would definitely be a good fit in the locker room. He is a high character guy and his work ethic is through the roof. He's been in a 3-4(2 gap) for four years at Oregon so he'd adjust smoothly to the Ravens D. 5 tech all the way. Definitely Buckner>Bosa. 4: Bosa- I'm honestly not a huge fan of Bosa, but he fits a pass rushing need. I just think he's more of an open end in a 4-3 at the next level. He's also had some off the field issues that he got caught for and I've heard rumors of him not getting caught for other issues. He's definitely talented, but if it's between him and DeFo, I'd go with Buckner every day of the week. 5: VH3- We need a solid corner on the other side of Smith and I think VH3 would offer that. He doesn't have prototypical size, but he's also not tiny. He's definitely a playmaker and stays on the hips of his receivers. I think he'd be a good #2 corner and I still think he has upside. If all the guys above are gone Ozzie could most likely trade back a couple of spots and still get VH3 and some extra picks. 6: Jack- I even had a hard time putting Jack here. I'm not a fan of Jack at all. Every year there's an athletic freak that jumps high in the draft. That's Jack. I'm curious as to how many people on this board have seen multiple games of Jack or your just basing your opinion on highlights and what analyst say? The PAC 12 games don't air out East so that's why I'm asking this? I've seen probably 70% of Jacks games and I've seen him in person as well. I wasn't overly impressed. I saw Oregon's TE Pharoah Brown completely take him to school on multiple occasions and people say he's elite in coverage. Lol. I just think a lot of people have bought into the hype because he played on both sides and the media pumped him up. Plus, he's not terrible brightest kid. He really wanted to come to Oregon, but the Duck staff passed on him because they felt he wouldn't have the grades. Somehow he got into a higher institution of learning in UCLA, but I imagine some strings were pulled. At OLB we want an elite pass rusher ie: Suggs/Doom and while Jack isn't terrible off the edge he's certainly not elite. And he's certainly not a sackmaster. He barely got after the QB. I also don't think he has the field IQ to move inside at the next level. I think he'd struggle at ILB having to 2 gap. It would be too overwhelming for him. That's just my two cents. Throw in the injury and I just don't see him being anywhere close to being worth it at pk6. 7: Stanley- Not worth a top 10 pick imo. He has good size, good arms, good feet and he's solid in pass pro, but he's not that good in run protection. The Ravens rely a lot on the running game so you want a LT to be elite in that category as well as pass pro. Plus, the concern of his work ethic is red flag as well. I understand we need a LT, but it's not often Baltimore picks this high so they better make it count. Tunsil, Ramsey, Buckner, Bosa, VH3. That's the order I'd have my board if I was Oz. One of those guys will definitely be there at 6 and most likely two or three of them could be available at 6.

This was definitely a good pickup. The people questioning it need to remember how bad our secondary was last year. All the depth in the world means nothing if they aren't producing. Weddle is without a doubt a big upgrade. He and Hill will be a stout backend. Now, Oz needs to get Wallace to throw on the other side of SSS and we can keep our fingers crossed that Perriman ends up being the burner we need that can stretch the field. Wallace would be a good catalyst. Then in the draft hope for Buckner and if he is off the board I'd trade back for Hargreaves. I personally like Buckner over Bosa. Bosa is a 4-3 guy imo and Buckner is a 3-4 5 tech all day. I personally know Deforest and he definitely fits the mold of a Raven. The things I've heard about Bosa off the field do not reflect a kind of guy we want on our team. I've heard that weed is the last thing to worry about with him.

Yup. Last year Ekpre Olumo was considered a mid to late 1st rounder and he dropped all the way to the 7th. Torn ACL and he had to redshirt. It killed his draft stock. Fortunately he collected on an insurance policy, but he still would have made a lot more money going in the 1st rd. Now, I don't think Smith drops too low, but I could definitely see him going in 2nd. Teams want their 1st rounders to make an immediate impact.

Trading up for someone like Bosa would be silly. We need depth and as many high picks as possible. Bosa is overrated anyway imo. He's a good player, but he's getting a lot of hype due to a weak draft(as far as franchise players are concerned). Tunsil is the only guy I think might be worth trading up for, but we are stuck with Monroe so there's no reason to pay left tackle money to two guys. If it was next year's draft I'd be all about taking a LT. I really want Ramsey. He's going to be an instant impact guy imo and he has a high ceiling. Plus, I like that he can play safety or corner. Very versatile. I definitely think safety is where he'll excel though. He was a monster of a safety, but just an above average corner. His All American status at corner wasn't deserving imo. He has top 5 potential at safety imo. If I'm Oz, I'm hoping Ramsey falls to 6, but if he doesn't I'd drop back and get one of Spence, VH3 or Buckner. Out of those three Buckner is the safest pick, but I think the other two could be elite if they hit their ceiling. Spence probably has the highest ceiling, but comes with red flags. It appears he's moved on from his partying ways, but what happens when he's back on top with a bank full of money? It could be very easy for him to fall from grace. Is he worth the gamble? Talent wise? Absolutely, but what good is said talent when the guy can't pass a piss test? Tough decisions for Oz. Just get some extra picks, get Spence or Buckner and get Eric Berry in free agency. Lol. I would love to see some move made to get Berry, but it's unrealistic. This draft isn't very top heavy so it's going to be a hard decision for Oz.

I want VH3 or Ramsey(just because I think they're a bigger need), but if they're not available, DeFo is definitely my #3 realistic option. He has a relentless motor. He had better numbers than Leonard Williams had last year and it was in less games too. He definitely should be a top 10 pick. He's far better than Armstead so I just shake my head when I see mocks with him going in the late teens or twenties. In one mock he's an early 2nd rounder. Lol. Some team is going to get a monster in DeFo. I would be happy if it was Baltimore.
