  1. This game is probably the toughest game to call of the year as is most week one games but this one could end up helping or hurting us come playoff time for home feild advantage, both teams offense is going through a change and nobody in the nfl world really knows what to expect except the fact that manning is always sharp early in the season while joe is better in january. Which scares me, i really think it come down to flacco vs denvers secondary and peyton vs ours, im worried flacco has fluko game and cant take advantage of their poor safties with no deep threat. But if flacco somehow magically takes this game as serious as a playoff game and plays like he did in the first half of the patriots game(who had probably as good if not better a defense than denver, and he hardly even went deep yet still tore them apart) then we win by maybe 10 and make a statement that we can be a true contender. But its all in flaccos hands, just dont pull a fluko and lose this game for us. It would be awesome to see us make a statement early. Its on you flacco, and this one counts for us all season. SHOW UP!

  2. Jeff Zrebiec tweet just now, " Breshad Perriman on field catching passes from WR coach Bobby Engram. Making a few moves but not running at all." So we really shouldnt expect much at until maybe home opener i hope. I just worry this offense stalls without any playmaking on the outside. Someone really needs to breakout. Or flacco needs to play like brady and make everyone around him look better than what they are

  3. Considering the fact that he's not even running yet, my guess is no. I'd be SURPRISED if we saw him before game 3.

    how do we know hes not running though? They really havent said anything. At first it was hell be back in a day or two then they say it will be a week or two. Harbaugh tells us hell be back at somepoint in preseason, and the latest weve heard is that his return time is unknown. Who knows they could have been just waiting till preseason was done and he could go now and start practicing this week preparing for denver or he could be out till week 3 which everyone seems to be saying. I just hate how they cant give us a legitimate timetable. Everyone else gets one, just not perriman

  4. My top prospects that i know of so far who i think will fit well on what we neex to build on for the future are-

    Kendal fuller-

    Leonard floyd-

    Carl lawson-

    Lawson and floyd are exceptionaly interesting prospects, both are freaks of nature and can get after the qb and i think lawson fits more of what we want at an olb but floyd is a freak and kinda reminds me of aldon smith on the feild. Just needs to add more bulk to consistently play the 3-4 otherwise hes just a pass rush specialist. Also wondered how shaun oakman would fair at olb. Oh and i wouldnt mind cyrus jones from alabama (baltimore native who was a five star recruit)

  5. I'm not sure if this warrants a new thread but it seems like the other one was nothing but people bashing, and I'll admit I was one of them, but after cooling down a bit I decided to re-review Perriman and go re-watch some tape of him and here's what I saw:

    The Good:

    A++ Size/speed (obviously).

    I was quick to say his hands were awful and he had some bad drops but I believe his hands are already more developed than Torrey smith's he already catches the ball with his hands which is more than Torrey did coming out.

    And while his routes need work(not much worse than jaelen strong) he still runs a more complex route tree than Devin smith.

    He's is more physical than Torrey is he can go up and get it and make tough catches at times.

    Another note would be his QB last year was awful, he under threw him on multiple occasions.

    We saw a run on wideouts in the late first round and I believe it's going to carry over into the second round leaving any chance to get a WR in the second very slim if we didn't take perriman.

    All in all I was quick to label Perriman, mostly due to the fact I believed there were better players on the board but that's just my opinion and I fully trust Ozzie even with his wideout track record, I'm gonna hold anymore bad judgement agaisnst Perriman until I see him play and I urge others to do the same, he needs quite a bit of work but if our staff can develop him he has #1 potential, he's not just a Torrey smith clone.

    totally agree with you, at first I wasnt too big on him because of his hands but he does have something you cant teach and thats size and speed, after rewatching his highlight tape I noticed the amount of big plays and accrobatic catches that he makes look so easy which is something torrey failed to do. With flaccos arm and the right coaching and leadership from steve smith he can be a stud. At worst is he will be close but not completely similar to torrey, a guy that can stretch the feild and draw pi. Either way he is a plug and play guy and I think marc is gonna have a lot of fun drawing up plays with him and flacco. Just keep him on the jugs lol
