  1. Of all the CBs in this class guys I like the most are:

    Eli Apple

    Will Redmond

    Kendall Fuller

    Cordrea Tankersley

    Desmond King

Cyrus Jones keeps making plays, on D and returns, interesting player.

There is just something that throws me off VH3. He is very talented and capable but he is showing off too much, has an unhealthy dose of cockiness when things go his way and totally disappears when they don't.

i still think mackensie alexander is the best corner in this class. I do like cyrus jones though. I think hes a great value in the mid rounds

  2. I really like cyrus jones from alabama. Hes a smart player and may be undersized but plays with a lot of heart. Not to mention he was a five star recruit from Baltimore and has 4 punt return tds this season. Hes been playing really well as of late and would be thrilled if we could get him in the 4th or 5th round

  3. oh yea i enjoy watching highlights too, i tend to wait until i can find a highlight video on a player before i watch film because i like to get a feel for the guy im watching before i try to analyze him at all. im just saying that highlights make a guy like shawn oakman look like the first overall pick lol

I know where your comming from, totally agree on that aspect but like you said its nice to know what kind of player they are and i really like this kid, as you may already know lol. Heres another reason

  4. Tape isn't highlights. You gotta watch the actual film, you can find some on YouTube

im pretty sure ive seen all the tape i could find but i like how theres some highlights i havent seen. Hes also matched up against some good talent like greene from fl. St and smelter on film as a r.s. freshman

  5. I wouldn't believe he does but who knows people move up and down the draft board rapidly during the off season. I have yet to watch the tapes on Alexander white or fuller if I've watched anyone I've seen fuller in the Ohio state game this year if y'all could fill me in on those guys that would be great

well mackensie alexander got a highlight tape put up on YouTube recently, you should check it out

  6. There's no question that Alex is good but I'd use Cravens like they use Honey Badger. He's just as athletic and rangy like him but has a better matrix to me. He could be used as the spy component and be just as effective in the backfield. I'm talking a blitzing multi faceted player. A little LB, safety, edge rusher of the blitz. With Hargreaves and a healthy backfield lead by JS they could be formidable equation to solve. You have Suggs(Situational at best early on). Doom, Jernigan, B.Williams, Brent Urban, and slew of combo packages. If we can nail the backfield the rest Of the team will greatly benefit and the Pass rush would also have a new wrinkle. Cravens

I totally agree with that. Love cravens as a second round pick, and i think harbaugh would love a player like him who could do anything you ask of him, either him or vonn bell. Either way i hope we get alexander. I swear im just going all in on this kid, i love his attitude and i feel like his background makes him a better person and he just seems so much more mature than his age. Im starting to like him more than vh3, vernon kinda reminds me of odel Beckham, not sure if its the hair or what but it may be that new breed attitude some players get. Just seems alexander is more humble and old school and knows what it means to work to get what you want and i feel that goes a long way, not only on the field but in life. Something i think coach would love to have

  8. He'd be a strong consideration but he doesn't handle interceptions well. If you ask me the two best prospects are Sua` Cravens and Ramsey. And I'd take Cravens if we traded back into the first round to grab him if we went in another direction with the first pick. Boyd would garner strong consideration just ensure we got him.

well its hard to say how he handles picks cause he was targeted less than vh3, then again he does seem to have trouble locating the ball from what ive seen but still his coverage skills are what sets him apart.

I see cravens and ramsey as hybrid safety rolls and we already have a solid one in will hill and cravens looks more like a 4-3 olb than a safety. If anything he reminds me of matt elam. I agree on the ball skills part on alexander though the only issue is we havent had a good sample size to determine if alexander really has a problem with his ball skills. Ive only seen one dropped pick against nc state by him and it would have been a tough catch but either way his coverage was perfect on the play

  9. Probably because he's a better fit for our defense as of right now but Bosa is versatile and athletic enough to do what's asked of him. Plus you center the defense around a player like him instead of forcing him in a specific scheme.

and we need a 3-4 defensive end why?

  10. Why is a completion percentage even important? Unless you can show me yards given up along with it it's a meaningless statistic

well i can tell you mackensie alexander had a 31% completion against for an average of 18+ yards per catch but only allowed 1td what can you tell me from that lol. Not much more....

  11. i agree with ur assessment of alexander, most of his issues we dont even know if they are real issues or not because he is so rarely targeted. he is impressive though.

as for your cb board, i would put tredavious at 3rd, with eli apple and kendall fuller rounding out the top 5, i see king as more of a hybrid guy and i see ramsey strictly as an attacking SS, he does not have the foot mechanics to play cb in the nfl and i dont ever think he will succeed there.

    http://draftbreakdown.com/video/mackensie-alexander-vs-north-carolina-2015/

Saw 3 out of 10 completions, and thats not including all the times the qb looked his way and didn't throw the ball which was about 3 more Thought he did a real nice job in this game considering it a championship game

  12. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/13370106/laremy-tunsil-ole-miss-rebels-domestic-violence-charges-dropped

That's the first thing that comes up when you Google "Laremy Tunsil domestic violence". I don't like to take it at face value when a player has their charges dropped (quite a few reasons that stem more from me being dubious about the justice system when it comes to that kind of charge), but it sounds like that particular incident isn't a huge red flag.

i agree. Doesn't seem to be a big deal. The bigger worry to me would be his health, he just looks weird out there with those 2 knee braces and it scares me lol

  13. if tunsil and bosa go 1 and 2, which i think they will...

do we really want to take hargreaves at 3rd overall? that is completely unprecedented and im not sure he lives up to that status, if he has a career like a top 10 pick at cb that is fine and dandy, but what if stanley turns out the best LT in the league? what if ramsey is as good as he should be and becomes the best safety in the league? what if we pass on these guys and they are the ones that play like perennial all pros and hargreaves turns out average because shockingly his height actually was a factor?

man... picking this high, in THIS draft, seriously sucks. im legitimately angry at will hill for returning that kick, smh.

thats always the case picking thus high, were just not used to being in this situation lol im sure ozzie will do his due diligence pick a player who can make a difference and we wont be stuck in this situation again like a lot of other teams end up doing, im just hoping if thats the case we trade down a few spots and take alexander. Who knows maybe vh3 or stanley will still be there. Im not too worried about it though. Theres still plenty of talent

  14. Ya i really hope we can somehow get alexander. Either trade down in the first or hopefully teams pass up on him and he drops to the second round for us.

I agree with ramsey, ive been lightening up on him a bit. He doesnt hustle much on the tape ive watched and he seems to arm tackle way too much, i feel we should draft tunsil, bosa or vh3 if they are available. If not then trade down and nab alexander, although i feel vh3 would be there for us if we decide to pick him. Too tough to tell this early which is why i dont like doing the mock draft just yet. I feel bigboards would be more appropriate at this time with scouting reports to go along and maybe a video for each prospect would be cool.

  15. My top 5 corner prospects this year would probably be

    1. Vh3, he gets the nod over alexander for me because of his picks and has proven ball skills otherwise they are equals to me, he is probably a better tackler as well

2.Mackensie alexander-maybe the best cover man in the country and hes not afraid to say it and hell back it up with his play and hard work.

3.Desmond King-i know a lot of people wont agree but i think this kid is a natural although a bit raw (he can get turned around with a good route), and hes not a one hit wonder like a lot of folks might think. Hes a solid tackler and has a nack for locating the ball in the air which is something we really need. I know he looks better as a safety but i feel corner is his true position and thats what well be drafting for when looking at these kids

4.Tradavious white-lsu always seems to breed these perfect dbs for the nfl in terms of athleticism and white has it all, hes built strong and can handle any kind of reciever he just seems a bit raw but then again i haven't seen much tape on him yet

    5. Jalen ramsey-not a true corner in my eyes, has plenty of potential but his competition this year was weak as can be. He dominated receivers at the line till 10 yards and blitzes like crazy (i think i counted more than 10 blitzes by him vs nc state which is crazy for a corner)

Please let me know if i missed someone. Im thinking of making a big board.

  16. Because he beat up his stepdad to protect his mom?? And then he turned himself in to the police? Idk I don't think we should pass someone up for doing what is right. We'll obviously do our homework with him, but that sounds more like the type of guy I'd want on my team.

Tbh i didnt do my research before i said that and i read about it later and realized i need to look into things more before i say it lol. But ya i totally agree and know where hes coming from.

  17. is he really? i figured they would at least be equal.

and yea he isnt as much of a finished product it seems, he is only a sophomore if im not mistaken but he is smooth as butter with great closing speed and seems to be real savvy and just sticks to his man like glue, receivers just dont seem to be able to shake the guy

well he is listed as 5-10 and ive seen a good amount of film. Hes not as good as a tackler as vh3 but the kid has some ridiculous man skills, hes allowed what i believe is a league low 31% completion percentage and was targeted less than vh3. The only knock i have against that is his yards per completion is a bit over 18 and he has yet to get a pick. If theres any knock on him too me would be finding the ball when its in the air youl see him get lost a few times on deep balls. Other than than those 3 issues i have (tackling, ball skills, and downfeild coverage) the only problem with that is he doesnt have many opportunities to prove me wronge on any of those 3

I have to add that even though hes only a redshirt sophmore he is 22 years old which is kinda surprising

  18. Mariota just got crunched, out for the season. I think the Titans go Tunsil. Tunsil won't be available to us.

like i said in the other topic. I feel we will pass on tunsil due to his domestic charge. Im not sure he will even be on our board. But thats just me i guess
