  1. Webb at FS, Hill at SS and Ramsey Rooming and occasionally buckle... Who's playing corner?

jimmy and odds are a rotation lol including ramsey and stay with the hot hand unless we draft someone else which could be likely like cyrus jones or even double dip and take ramsey then kendall fuller in the second if hes there. I mean no matter what we do we will have some holes in this team next year. Ramsey would just be able to help out a little bit everywhere

  2. He definitely is a football player. The difference between him & Ed Reed is Ed's work ethic & ability to study film. He honestly doesn't look like he studies film as much. He may not be capable of doing it, but I can't say that one way or another. I have no evidence of this & go strictly off of what I've seen & these mistakes I see him make that make me think he may not study film.

When I compare him to Alexander, of whom I know studies film, you can see Alexander does it. Alexander not only studies film, however, but applies what he sees in the games. This is such a critical aspect of his game that goes unnoticed. A player can study film all day, but if they can't apply what they see to games, then it is worthless. Ramsey doesn't jump routes & doesn't seem to diagnose these type of situations, which he should if he 1) studies film & 2) applies what he sees to the games. Perhaps he doesn't know how. I don't know.

That said, unlike others, I'd have no problem drafting Ramsey at #6 overall.

that is one of my favorite assets of alexander. He truly is a pro and an nfl ready prospect. I really admire his work ethic for such a talent like him. Not many people know he was a top 5 prospect commimg out of highschool either and he only strives to get better, im not sure theres a more dedicated player out there than alexander. Ramsey doesnt always show it, i see lack of hustle from him very often but he always seems to be full go in big time games. Stanley is another guy i feel iffy about. I feel he has a lack of motivation and is extremely inconsistent. He doesnt show that drive or passion i like to see, at least ramsey has passion and he shows plenty of it

  3. We play zone, if he can't play zone I don't want him.

i dont think hed be that bad. If we do draft him hes not going to play outside much. Hes going to be our hybrid safety and nickle corner which elam was supposed to be lol. He has the athletic ability to make up a ton of ground, and would look great with webb at fs, hill a ss, and ramsey roaming all over the feild. Its his best fit in our scheme and since we are thin at corner hes versitile enough to do it. Its his best ceiling i believe is if we use him in that roll like he was used his sophmore season at fsu, it was his best production in college. even though hes classified as a corner and plays there more often he projects better at the berry mathieu roll for a team that needs that kind of player on defense. We need that. If a team doesnt need that type of player they would take him as a corner but then his value drops

If hes there at 6 which is hard to say he will becuase its tough for me to see dallas and jax pass on him becuase they need the same thing in their secondary. So if he is we wont pass on him. Im beginning to truly believe that, unless bosa or tunsil are there it wouldnt matter ramsey would be the pick.

  4. I will give you this...I have no inside knowledge of the situation but I could see a situation to where Ramsey relies more on his football IQ and ability than he does film. Having said that...just because he maybe didn't use the film well in college, does not mean that he won't work on that skill to apply the film knowledge to his already great awareness and IQ and improve on that as a Pro...he has things he needs to work on and this is one of them.

I think Alexander is a great cover corner. He does not get me excited however and what I mean is I don't know how much of a playmaker he is. He is more of a preventer. I think he sticks to receivers like glue he seems to almost always be in their hip which is great and it takes a certain athletic ability to do that which he obviously has...but I don't see the athletic ability to transcend above that and do something special. I think he might recognize that as well too...which could lead to him watching more film and studying that way, trying to find an edge there. He might look at it and say ok great I can stick my guy man to man all over the field, but I need a boost that can help put me in a position to get a turnover...so he studies more and more film..which you see by blowing up WR screens, he is always disrupting those WR screens basically standing next the WR before he even gets the ball. When he knows what play is coming he is very decisive and quick to diffuse it and is a much more sure tackler, when he is just reacting he seems a bit more uncomfortable and is definitely not as willing to come up and make a tackle, that's when I see him struggle the most.

You pretty much showed how they both approach the game a different way. Just what do you like better for us. Personaly id prefer the guy who works and studies film, he seems more professional and refined than ramsey. The kid has notes on Clemsons receivers lol. Hes ready for the pros in my eyes

  5. -Treadwells 40 time for sure.

-Stanleys bench press better at least be 30

-I expect to see ramsey perform well especially broad jump and vert. But i want to see his cone drill time and shuttle, i feel he might struggle.

-Alexander should do good. I just want to see him perform without a hamstring issue. I really want to see him just catch the ball lol

-I feel vh3 has the most to lose. I want to see his measurables, most importantly height and wingspan, i feel his 40 will be underwhelming but his cone and shuttle times are going to be phenomenal in my opinion

Long time till the combine but thats what ill be looking at

  6. I'm liking him a lot for our second round pick. He is in the mold of the new style NFL at 6'1" and he was very impressive vs FSU.

i wouldn't say impressive, i thought he had ups and downs. He allowed 7 of 11 passes and his 2 picks came off bad throws. 1 off and underthrow which he got beat on but made a nice play on the ball and the second was at the end. His tackling was good pther than the beginning when he got shook and nearly fell. But what i saw was an inconsistent and raw yet athletic and physical corner. Id give him a late 2nd early 3rd grade. He has some potential

  7. Yeah, that's def. a weakness to his game. I cannot stand missed tackles honestly, I hate it.

i agree. And some of those were really bad. He didnt rap up the guy and whiffed with his head down. Then he tries to rip the ball out rather then just bring him down.

  8. this. I would absolutely soil myself if we got say a buckner at 6th and traded up for a Floyd in the late 20s.

If we took a guy like hargreaves or Ramsey at 6th and a guy like ngakoue at 37th overall if he happy as well, but I would hope pees knows how to use Ramsey

Hey remember how you said walter football has a knack fro predicting our picks....well they just put up another and had us pick treadwell furst and mackensie alexander in the second. Boy oh boy if and only if that could happen.....it would be the best thing to ever happen lol i would be jumping off the walls as ig we won the superbowl haha

  9. Alexander has really good instincts. Like, I mean really really good. He's able to quickly diagnose plays and understand where the ball will go. That's one of the more important qualities of a CB outside of the backpedal & some other traits. His closing speed is also really, really good. I can see why he's so well liked. I think he could be prone to missing tackles at the next level, but those instincts are so good & play diagnosis are top-notch.

Hes a film rat and a technician. He will always be at the right spot becuase he knows whats comming, a true student of the game. Too bad he got hurt. Couldve been a difference maker and looked like one to start. Roll tide!!! Alabama ended up pullin through

  10. Interesting note about Alexander- While Alexander has yet to record a pick, he's allowed two touchdowns only in his career and none in the past 23 games.

love it. Something else to note is that as a freshman he decided to stay home and study film for a bowl game while his teammates went to dysney. Ended up holding sterling sheppard to one catch that game. He even has notes on Clemsons receivers to better prepare himself for his professional career

  11. That's pretty impressive, I must admit.

yup and a 31% completion when hes in coverage. He hasent even played 30 games in his career and has only allowed 2tds for his career and like he said. None in the past 23.

Fyi hes reportedly deeling with a hamstring injury for the national championship game today. It might hurt him going up against calvin Ridley. He might end up getting burned

  12. It was not awful, besides that 55-Yard Catch which was absolutely insane, I cannot say that was an awful game, def. not one to be proud of, but it wasn't that bad. The catch Calvin Ridley made was insane, the ball placement was spot on, and the receiver made a good catch. Tell me how much more can Hargreaves do against that? It was pretty tight coverage honestly. I will say Ridley did have a step and had to wait on it, but the recovery by the CB and FS was good enough to be able to disrupt the play. I think his Michigan game was bad, but the others are overblown, I'll still look into the other game. FWIW, Calvin Ridley is insanely talented, he is being compared to Amari Cooper and when he is draft eligible I honestly think he could be a top 10 pick.

watch his Tennessee tape. He was terrible in that game. Missed so many tackles

  13. not perfectly refined but he is ahead of his years and is very savvy, he fools dbs, ever notice how many times he makes a db turn their hips only for him to turn back to the qb and make a clean catch? That's not a coincidence lol.

Not to mention how comfortable and natural he looks doing anything obviously a football field, the kid is a natural born stud and he has a feel and a head for the game, his shortcomings will be worked out

ya i love how he always works back to the qb. He is a natural and id love the pick. Hed be a gamechanger we desperately need. The thing that sticks out most is his tremendous balance and body control. Hes very agile and i wouldbt be surprised if his 40 i faster than we expect

  14. Treadwell is also exactly what we need. He has great hands and excels in route running. Perriman's game breaking speed combined with Treadwell's consistency could be a great combination.

i would say hes still raw in route running. He always dips his shoulders to the side hes gonna break too and he doesnt seem to always get good seperation. He has shown very good ability to get off press with his physicality which is something i think we need. I like him as a pick still just wouldnt consider him a good route runner

  15. they're way off on some guys, and their mocks look ridiculous until the draft comes and then they're not that far off lol.they were like the only outlet that had us taking perriman, and they guessed that for a good2months and didn't change

i kinda like drafttek better. Theyre rankings are more spot on and they had us picking perriman a lot last year too lol

Fyi. Mackensie alexander is gonna shut down calvin Ridley and very well may help pull off the win in the national championship vs alabama, if they do i feel alexander is gonna have a big impcact. He might hace called it.
