He doesn't bend that well because he doesn't play very light on his feet but that can absolutely be improved, suggs was heavy footed too and now he's massive and one of the lighter footed edge defenders in the league.

His burst off the line is the best in the draft though. The bend and the hands is where you find the difference between Spence and correa, but correa outclasses spence across the board everywhere else

Thats what im saying lol the character and versatility is what i think sets him apart from spence. I still think correa uses his hands well though. And if hes heavy footed, hes pretty quick for a heavy footed guy. Watch matt waldmans breakdown of him on youtube if you have time, guves you a really in depth look at correa

His coverage is not horrible. He absolutely shows a good feel for zone dropping. He can sense where a receiver goes when they get behind him and he has in quite a few occasions made the qb uncomfortable.

Ive really liked the idea of using him as a clay mathews type roll where he can also play inside backer. He has the athleticism to cover backs and tightends.

Of course I do!! But I'm realistic he doesn't have the firepower to beat nfl tackles. I liked Ngakoue better to be honest.

He has no fire power???? You think hes like upshaw????? Dude this kid can fly to the qb watch his tape and listen to some breakdowns of him, he has tons of upside as a pass rusher. He can bend the edge better than anyone in the draft, plus hes a high character guy unlike spence. They both have tons of upside and your reallly splitting hairs between the two. But to call him a bust already is just wronge. Dead wronge

I really implore people to watch the tape on Correa as well, he honestly doesn't even dominate against lesser competition. I see the upside but passing on a player like Jack for a 4th/5th and Correa is just not an intelligent trade off. If we took a polished pro-ready player I would understand. We passed on a top 5 talent for a boom or bust player, that is inexcusable.

He really shines on this tape. Same level of comp. His better film is in 2014 were he had far better numbers but hard to find film. Has tons of potential just hasent been able to put it all together just yet. Suggs and doom will help him with that. Hes gonna be one hell of a player.

  5. I like what we have done so far. We address areas that were a weakness or question mark and filled them with RELIABLE players. Guys who havent had injury problems or off the feild issues in the past. They are clean prospects and good kids. Ozzie does his due diligence learning about each players personality as we found out "a lot of these kids arent very smart" (Refering to their tweets etc) he said. We have intelligent hard workers comming to Baltimore.

Stanley- splitting hairs between him and tunsil and only difference between the two are the off feild issues. Easy call there

Kamalei correa-was an honor roll student in high school and has one of the highest motors in the class

Bronson kaufusi-son of a coach who is a hard workerand also is raved about bye his character and who he is as a person.

All sound like ravens to me. Proud to have a front office like ours.

Cant wait to see what happens tomorrow

  6. Im not surprised at all. Almost expected. Great kid, although i was though on his tape, too his credit, he hardly gave up sacks and most important stayed healthy throughout hus college career. Team player, straight edge kid who knows his priorities. Wish i could say the same for myself. Congratulations to Ronnie Stanley(and joe flacco). Flacco just got a 5 year extension on his career

I would swap Shilique Calhoun for Yannick Ngakoue.

True. Id see that. Was just trying to find a guy who falls to that spot. Feel like a lot of people see Calhoun as a second rounder. He might slip. Id prefer cravens over any of them but he wont fall that far. I would be willing to take him with our second

    -1

  8. Rd 1. Laremy tunsil LT. Dream come true. We get insurance on the contract we just paid flacco while sticking true to our board. Stabilizes our O-line and gets our offense running at a high level. We always win games on offense through the trenches.

Rd 2. MackensieAlexander/kendall fuller CB. Im torn here. I feel like this pick is going to be a corner. Especially after decosta says there will be a run on corners in the late 1st to the early 2nd rounds but i dont know if its Alexanders work ethic and attitude or fullers ball skills and the connection to Baltimore that win them over

-artie burns is another option yet i feel hes too raw for a early second round pick. Trade back option

3rd Rd. Shilique Calhoun OLB. There could be many options slotted here depending who falls, i can see Braxton miller, sua cravens, deion jones and janoris jenkins slotted here as well. In this senario i have calhoun an overlooked pass rusher slip to us in the third

    4Th rounds

    Cyrus jones CB

    Charles tapper DE

    Ryan kelly center

Matt judon OLB - small school guy, but freak athlete. Look him up a bit

    Rd 6

    Tyler matakevich ILB

    Paul mcroberts WR

Let me know if i was realistic enough.

I don't disagree with you. I am just surprised. I'm not sure where all this Ronnie Stanley hate came from around here. I think it's partially due to the fact that we actually seem to have a shot at him. Fans seem to over-analyze and think prospects whom they believe their teams have a chance to get and deify players their teams likely won't get. I watched a lot of Ronnie Stanley and I saw some games where he went one-on-one against Shaq Lawson against Clemson. A lot of people here seem to like Shaq Lawson but I am not a fan; however, ironically some of those same people who like Lawson and think he'll be a good player and would consider him at #6 don't like Stanley at the same pick. Guess what? Stanley dominated Lawson when he played him.

I always hear that Stanley isn't a good run blocker, but I see him get downfield and block and make impact plays in the run game. He doesn't consistently throw guys to the ground, but neither does Laremy Tunsil. I also hear that Stanley isn't strong enough, but he stood up Shaq Lawson quite a few times and held him in place on other tries. He neutralizes Lawson's spin move on a nice recovery as well. I don't know if I agree with you that Stanley is better than Tunsil, but I do think he could be. I'm not sure about these rumors saying that Stanley doesn't love football, either. I'd really like to know from where they came. I think if we were picking 32 we would be praying to have a chance to get Stanley.

    Just my two cents.

Im pretty sure shaq lawson dominated stanley. He bull rushed him all game and stanley could do nothing about it. Against lsu i saw him get thrown down twice in a row when the play was over and yet he did nothing about it. Couldn't stand up for himself

He seems lacksidasical at times and seems to have a hard time keeping his balance. Against boston college he got bull rushed and ended up on his butt at one point.

Im not saying stanleys a bad prospect. I just see him more of a boom or bust type player. Has all the intangibles to be a great left tackle but i see him get pushed around a bit too much on tape and it worries me about his floor

I really don't know what people see in him  when they watch his tape

LMAO watch his stanford tape. He lifts a 300 pound o lineman off his feet by raw power alone. The kid has brutal strength in his hands. His technique is a little raw still but he is a monster in the making. He should be compared to JJ Watt, he has that kind of potential.

This is the best angle i can find of this play at 2.05 of the highlight tape. Practically used one arm to flip a man. Thats why this kids potential is so high. I honestly wouldnt let him pass me if i was san diego.

Hargreaves is simply a stellar cb.

I won't let the silly talk about the end of his season deter me. The boy is a machine and will be a perfect fit and make a MASSIVE improvement to our defense the day he steps on the field

#Anyonebutstanley. Ill start it now. To me if the consensus top 5 are gone. I wouldnt take anyone but VH3. Solid pro and great character, plays hard and wont back down from a challenge. Like ray lewis wont let being to small or slow or whatever anyone says about him take away any confidence away from him. And i love that attitude. Shows maturity and hes only 20. Im 21 lol so i have a lot of respect for that

The though of us running a 3-3-5 base has become very intriguing to me. Not that i love cravens or anything but I admit if we could work him in as a 3rd safety who covers and plays the run like a LB and even edge rushes on occasion then I'd be excited about a guy like him.

Imagine that but with myles jack in that role. That could be his best position in the pros other than the will. His skill set is exactly what that position requires, as would derron lee.

I think signing weddle puts us in a prime spot to draft whoever we think is by far the BPA. Less pressure to draft vh3 if we feel Shaq lawson or buckner is the superior player.

I just hope we don't reach on Stanley because I just don't see him as a top 10 guy, he just lacks the drive you want to see in a First round OT

Totally agree on stanley, i couldnt care less about him. Maybe in a trade back but not at 6. Would love to see myles jack fall at 6 to us, i think he would make our entire defense into something scary good. We would get so many coverage sacks with that alone and maybe get a pass rusher in the second would bolster us even more.

Also wouldnt mind buckner or bosa, just dont see dallas pass up on bosa at this point. Hes a perfect fit for them.

Why do you guys think cut players have any indication of who the Ravens or another team select with their top-10 pick? I don't think it has anything to do with the price of tea in China.

Lol i know. Just waiy till free agency starts

Fyi check out the wr thread. I posted a game tape of sterling sheppard that i want everyone to see. I feel like hes something we need and id love him to learn from ssr

I had to post this. Im already very high on this kid, but i love this tape of him.

he struggled throughout the whole game nearly yet you could still see him play hard at all times, then with about 4 mins left with his team down by 7 on 3rd and 4, initially he slips on his rote and falls, yet he gets back up and makes a tough catch near the sideline. Then he get the game tying touchdown with .40 to go with an even more impressive catch. Makes a big play in the first overtime and wins the game in double overtime.

Resilient, tough, and a good competitor. Truly pays like a raven.

I believe this also. If you break down his direct quote,  “We feel like we know who the top six guys will be in the draft, at least we feel like we have it narrowed to the two guys that we would probably pick"

They are predicting who the teams in front of them will choose and then basing the two guys that will more than likely be there at 6.

So we kinda get a feeling what the board looks like and if they already have it down to 2 guys, i highly doubt stanley is as everyone has been mockomg him to us. But what do all the teams ahead do with theyre pick, anyone go investigating on other teams forums lol

I agree that it seems unlikely they all pass on them, but it's certainly possible:

    1. Tunsil

    2. Wentz

    3. Buckner or Stanley (who knows)

    4. Goff (Dallas trades back and Rams move up, or Dallas takes him regardless)

    5. Jack

There you have it, your Ramsey & Bosa scenario.

I really like Stanley. I don't get the dislike for him. Yeah, he isn't the strongest guy and doesn't play with that mean streak you want to see, but I wouldn't call him soft, either. He's plenty nasty out there and his pass protection is top-notch. I think Tunsil is better as both a pass protector and in the run, but Stanley is no slouch and he's better than every LT prospect that's recently come out. I do like that guy Spriggs, though, so maybe something happens there and we get him in the 2nd. I wouldn't be surprised either way.

I just get that feeling that hes not strong. I dont think he really pushes himself in the gym and it shows in his body, theres a lot of weight on that kid and i dont see a passion in his game. He got used and abused by shaq lawson and does nothing about it throughout the whole game, he can say what he wants about his desire and love of the game but his tape and work ethic dont show me hes a top 5 pick and thats what we are looking for at 6. I dont want that kind of a question mark with a top 5 pick, to me hes a trade back target. Top 10 pick for sure, just not top 5

I really like Stanley. I also like other LT prospects, which could be had a bit later, but I wouldn't necessarily pass on Stanley. I agree that I want us to re-sign KO, and I think there's a good chance it happens. I think KO wants to be here and we want him here. I also think the team recognizes the importance of getting more from the LT position and Monroe just can't seem to stay healthy and you have to wonder now if he is hitting a cliff and starting to break down. Some guys break down earlier than others and he may be that guy. We'll see if I am proven right or wrong, and I'll happily admit I am wrong if we don't re-sign KO, but I think we will and he'll be the LT this year. I wouldn't be surprised if we keep Monroe, however, as a back-up. We know what happens when you don't have depth and he'll only save us 2.1M to cut, so it's possible we cut him, but I can see him stick around as well even as depth.

I dont see us keeping monroe if we take stanley, no reason to pay a backup left tackle that kind of money, he could be a post june 1 cut and save 4 million or so i heard.

Im just not that high on stanley i guess. I dont like his attitude or work ethic, he seemed to be carrying a lot of extra weight at the combine and i kinda get a lazy feel about him. I dont think it will work out well with us

Hargreaves if we re-sign KO, else Stanley if we don't. I think we'll bring KO back, so I chose VH3.

I think Bosa makes it to our pick between him and Ramsey, which is who I think we want the most. I feel one of Ramsey or Bosa makes it to our pick, but I think Bosa is the likeliest. I think we may choose Bosa even if Ramsey is there, but that would be a tough call, man. Wow. I'd hate to be the guy to make that choice.

Id hope we take vh3 in that senario regardless of ko, on the other note i see no way in ramsey and bosa at 6. Its hard to see either one fall to us having to pass san diego, dallas and jax. They will all take either bosa, ramsey, jack, or buckner in any order and well be left with whoever. That is if Cleveland picks a qb, and if i were them i wouldnt know who to pick, goff has small hands and that will hurt him in our division while wentz looks like hed be better off sitting a year so idk what will happen

I just know i dont want to end up with stanley. Imo he wont be bpa there regardless of cenario. If we do pick him its based off need and the fact that we cant trust monroe

Agreed. You have to do what's right for you in the end. If KO gets a deal from another team that's negligible, then I think he returns to the Ravens. I think he'll take a slight hometown discount if it's (our contract offer and their [the other team's] contract offer) close. If it's too far apart then KO goes to the other team. I feel pretty confident he returns. I'd say 65% likely to return, but I am an optimistic. Lol

I just really hope this doesnt force us to draft stanley. Id give Monroe another shot. Hes only 28 and is still productive when hes out there. Key word is when though, and its not that i wouldnt mind taking a tackle, just not stanley. Lol
