I think the FO plans on bringing Mangold in and will then target G/T over C/G.

Plus ive always viewed Elflein as more of a late 2nd early 3rd pick. I value Feeney, Dawkins and even Dorian Johnson over him and expect all 3 to go somewhere in that early-to-mid-2nd range.

I posted a really good breakdown of elflien that may change your mind on him in the oline thread. You should check it out

Round 3 Pick 10: Patrick Mahomes II, QB, Texas Tech (A+)

  3. I like this draft. Im not a big Kpassagnon fan as others are though.

Im also kimd of reluctant to pick a reciever in the first. Id much rather a pass rusher or offensive lineman. Im a firm believer in winning the trenches. I think recievers are just unnecessary luxuries and could be had later.

Mike Williams is great and all but theres no versatility to the pick. If we go Cam robinson he could play RT or G and if stanley gets hurt you kick him out there. That seems more valuable especially when you could get zay jones, juju, or stewart later on while there really isnt another cam robinson type player in this draft.

To an extent.  I'm a build the trenches guy myself but you still need some quality targets for your QB.  2 TE sets are nice but I hope we aren't relying on them all the time.

Im not saying i dont want a reciever, but i feel like the value of juju or zay jones in the second or others in the 3rd is better than mike williams or davis in the first

It would make sense for him not to go in the first because at the end of the day he is an undersized receiver with a history of injuries to both knees and unreliable hands.

That being said, I am 100% sure that someone is going to completely ignore that and take him in the first because of a really fast underwear run.

Edit: Looks like Ross was actually taken at 18 in this mock.

Oh lol. I must have looked right over that.

Walt and Charlie have been projecting us to take Cam for like a solid month now (though they're far from the only ones to slot us a RT). I want the draft to happen already just so I can stop seeing these RT draft predictions for us lol. It seems like the lazy thinking is "omg, the Ravens lost Wagner, now they need a RT!" when Alex Lewis does not have the leverage or power to be a good guard, but he does have the physical attributes and experience to be a good tackle. Seems to me Lewis has always been the future Wagner replacement; he just happened to be the best LG on the roster last year too.

I would only want Cam Robinson if they're sure he can be a pro-bowler at LG; otherwise, picking an offensive lineman that high isn't worth it imo. If you're drafting Cam Robinson to play RT, then what you're actually doing is filling a hole at LG with an average player with the 16th overall pick.

In all honesty i think taking Cam would be the smartest move you can make. I agree with colin cowherd that recievers are a unnecessary luxury. Kinda like a sports car. Looking at the falcons, julio jones wasnt the driving force for that team. It was their 2 running backs and matt ryan as well as the scheme. The cowboys have a great oline. The steelers became one dimensional in the playoffs and couldnt do anything once the pats locked down Brown. I think it'd be smart for us to solidify our oline so we can protect Joe and have a potent running game

Is there big difference from Taco Charlton and Bronson Kaufusi?  I'm not entirely confident that Hendrickson and Stewart will be available in the rounds you pick them in. Hendrickson stock has gone up and I think he  atleast will be third or fourth round pick.

Ya kaufusi and charlton aree pretty identical and i see taco as a 5tech on this team. Hes athletic enough to plag outside though

Solomon Thomas, easily.  Hooker and Adams would be the only other 2 there that give me pause, assuming Allen's shoulders are as bad as presumed.  If they aren't, lump him in with the safeties.

I would say thomas too but idk how he fits into our defense. Hes not long enough to play outside and hes too small to be a 3tech in our scheme.

Other than his UNC game he wasnt that great. He was pretty average vs Washington. I really like him as a person and live his attitude but I just dont like his fit with us

Question.... except for Myles Garret, who is your favorite prospect, or if you had a choice of any one player who would it be out of guys like:

    Adams

    Hooker

    Barnett

    M Williams

    C Davis

    Allen

    Thomas

    Lattimore

    Fournette

    Foster

    Howard

Curious... like if we had pick #2.

Id probably say Barnett but i really like Oj Howard

I agree, but I typically try to differentiate in 2 ways.

    1.  I typically like the players that you know can play 1 position, but also have the versatility to play others.  Guys like Reddick and Bowser fall into that category for me.

    2.  I'm more concerned with players that I don't really know where to play them.  They may have talent but not a true position that fits their size, skill, mindset, etc.  That's always why guys like Peppers concern me.  I think he has the debate of where to put him, where guys like Reddick have arguments more along the lines of where ELSE can you put him.

I know this is the edge rusher thread but Ill say this anyways

To me theres no question where you put peppers. Hes a safety all the way. I think you use him as the honey badger and let him play that nickle position on spread situations and let him fly. He wont play linebacker and wont play outside corner. To me hes a safety

There's just something about the way he plays that makes me think he's not that good when I watch tape on him beyond any analysis of traits/athleticism etc.

    he just doesn't look right

When i was watching him its his lack of agressiveness i think. At 6'6 280 youd expect him to bull rusb someone or have a violent rip move but he never does. He always takes a finess approach and tries to beat you with quickness. His ohio st game though, he did a very good job of mixing it up. I love his potential but im with you. I always expect more out of him on tape

Not sure if people have already brought this guy into the conversation or not, and I don't want to go back through all 17 pages, but what is the consensus on Ardarius Stewart from Alabama? Seems like he has solid hands and pretty good speed. I see him as a middle round pick. Is he a person you think could make this team better?

I like him a lot. I really love his toughness. He blocks really well and is physical after the catch, hes also made a lot of big plays for Bama when they needed them

    Jabrill Peppers

    Ryan Anderson

    Corey Davis

    Chris Godwin

    All of the TE's

    Joe Mixon

I'm pretty sure the worst for these guys is a serviceable starter and at best all pro. Love all of these guys. I actually like a lot of prospects that aren't listed but these guys I'm positive will turn out to be great

I know this has nothing to do with the ravens but heavy effect if this happens.

    Adam Schefter‏ @AdamSchefter

Cleveland has not made up its mind at No. 1, per source. Split opinions. Some like Myles Garrett, some like Mitchell Trubisky. We will see.

Umm only the Browns would do this

smokescreen. Theyre probably trying to see what other teams would be willing to offer them for the pick

Not available here in the U.K. lol but I guess it's the thought that counts haha

Oh lol well, he talks about his struggle with school early and had plenty of problems with academic eligibility. Seems like UCLA pulled a few strings to get him there
