Hmmmm. Thought something sounded fishy about the original report. The new one makes more sense considering the police report

I just don't see the skillset though, if he's playing 43de in base and sliding to 3T on passing downs then I could see it, but that's not really an edge guy imo, to me an edge guy is a guy who's gonna be rushing the qb off the edge, like I think Malik McDowell is a DE in a base package but slides inside on passing downs, nobodies calling him an edge player

Ya true, well a lot of people have differing opinions. I lile him because i know he studies the tape and is a big believer in Derek Rivers. Rivers doesnt get the attention he deserves because hes an fcs guy but he has phenomonal pass rush traits. Hes explosive and is one of the best pure edge benders in this class

The fact that he has Solomon Thomas in the second tier of edge rushers makes me really struggle to take it serious.  I don't even see Thomas as an edge guy, seems like most agree.

Like he said in the article and uve heard you refer to this before is the fact that Thomas never really played the edge much at Stanford. He rarely got opportunities yet his traits say he could play on the edge. Maybe more 4-3 DE than a linebacker but i just think the consensus opinion about his being a 3tech is how well he looked at Stanford in that position.

  4. @JoeyFlex5 Thought youd find this very interesting. https://www.fanragsports.com/nfl/updated-look-edge-defender-class-2017-nfl-draft/amp/

I have to think Derek Barnett may only have one true thing hes good at. Hes a one demensional edge bender. A very good one at that though. The lack of burst off the snap is worrisome though

The guy that made this list also made a video with Matt Waldman in the RSP film room on Carl Lawson. Its very detail orriented breakdown and I learned a lot and made me have another perspective when evaluating edge rushers

I knew you'd bring up Willis smh.

I think bowser and rivers are serious contenders for our second, both seem to be rising and I like them both as natural 34 rushers. Basham in the third as well. But Tim Williams is undoubtedly my top guy

Oh man I love Derek Rivers. I think his potential is through the roof. His ability to bend is uncanny. The kid is strong at the point of attack and has a great first step. If hes ever allowed to use it, because Youngstown ran a "tackle read" scheme where he was forced to play the run. He does need to work on some disengaging moves but man....the kid is a monster. Hes one of those guys that makes you question why fcs vs fbs really even matter. I like him more than Takk Mckinley honestly

I've been giving it more thought since I've recently read reports about us having interest in Cam Robinson and....

Yeah Cam Robinson would still be terrible. Probably the worst pick we could make. And I have this gut feeling we take him. Say what you want about the Correa pick last year, I think given the success that Zach Orr had last year that Correa could hack it at ILB at a pretty decent level like Orr did.

So Ozzie. You don't take Larmey Tunsil, clearly a superior physical talent and has a higher ceiling than Stanley because of drug concerns(a move I actually agree with. I don't need my players being the next Randy Gregory/Josh Gordon), but Robinson has drug concerns and there are reports out that we really like him? Freaking hypocrite. Tunsil had upside. Robinson does at guard, but he has a low floor. I swear to god when he takes him...

But yeah. I'd like to add a name to the list: Christian McCaffery. Not that I hate him as a prospect, in fact, I like him a lot, but we have far more pressing needs. I know he's rumored to go in the top ten(and when the Panthers take him I will LOL), but I highly doubt he does and think he will be avaliable then. I'd be upset, but live with the solace that I think he's gonna be a good player.

So let me ask this then

Who would you be upset with in the second round?

Me: Any RB really. Any dlinemen since I'm not impressed by most of them. I think that Kevin King and Jalen Tabor are overrated.

    Yeah.

    @-Truth-

Cam Robinson has overtaken James Harden on my personal hate scale.

I dont thin Cams issues are nearly as bad as Tunsils. His charges were dropped and he never had any other issues. I really cant compare Cams situation to tunsil. Tunsil is a much better prospect yes. However Cam is a mammoth of an athlete. We said we want to get bigger on the Oline and Cam would do that the minute he walked into the building. I understand the dislike for Cam, not the hate

  7. So i was reading an interview with Quincy Wilson on draftbreakdown and he was asked if he had any odd questions asked like getting into a starring contest. This was his reply:

"Nobody got into a staring contest with me [laughs]. I do have one story for you though. The Cincinnati [Bengals] coach asked me if I had 37 cents with seven coins, what would I have? I wasn’t able to answer that. I didn’t know."

Lol.....cant even do simple math....took me like 10 seconds to figure it out. 2dimes, 3nickles, 2pennies......some of these questions have reasoning behind it and they dont realize it

It's a struggle lol... I'm not going to start talking myself into him unless we draft him because I know it'll be a difficult process - at which point I will watch every bit of tape on him over and over again just hoping I see something new

until that time though I personally just can't see anything to like about him at 16

Hopefully the bengals or saints take him so we dont have to worry about that lol

  9. I like this mock Butt i think i like your sense of humor more.

I may be higher on Cam Robinson than most here and i would think of him as more of a "smart" or "safe" choice. I just think he will start on any teams offensive line regardless if he plays either G position or RT. Plus hes a mauler and we want a bigger oline so i wouldnt be against the pick.

Would you be ok with Cam if we ended up with Butt at some point? lol
