  1. I just watched the tape against usc and i dont think he was that bad. What do you think of dorian johnson from pitt? He played very well vs clemson, he moves very well too justt isnt very strong at the point of attack.
  2. I am very torn...... i see left gaurd as a major need. Ever since yanda moved there our offensive line has seemed much better. I think him being there helps stanley a ton. Now we need to draft one so yanda can go back to his natural right side. However im torn between 2 prospects Quenton Nelson and dorian johnson Nelson seems like the best choice, hes strong at the poin of attack and is well rounded in pass protection. Extends his arms and stops defenders in their tracks. Hes also familiar with stanley as they played together on that left side last year so that would help our chemistry However......nelson is more of a power running scheme type oline man. Johnson is betterr fit for the zone. Anyone think we still have a zone running scheme or do you think since kubiak and trestman are gone weve abondoned that idea. Cause in my mind nelson is the better pick if we want to beef up the oline while johnson is more of a pull gaurd who can block well in space
  3. Hes said to be a top 15 pick. I dont see him getting any further than that considering how pass rushers are so coveted in the nfl. I wish we could get him....im just afraid well be out of reach for him or scared off by character concerns like weve seemed to be lately
  4. He kinda has a percy harvin type roll. Hes very underrated and doesnt get the ball enough in my eyes.
  5. I agree. This is why i tend to stay away from these threads. It seems all that comes up is the bad, the ugly and really ugly lol. On another note.....time to get adoree jackson ? i even think he could be a better reciever prospect than juju. Didnt mean to bring up draft prospects in this thread but i cant help but think hed bring such a spark to this team. Offense, defense, special teams
  6. Ya thats what im thinking. I wouldnt mind going pass rusher corner in rounds 1 and 2 respectively. Who do you think could fall to the second round? Im thinking gareon conley or tankersly would be solid picks
  7. Are there any stats that show completions allowed, yards allowed and the amount of penalties each player has against corners in college?
  8. I feel like it would be impossible to rank theses corners lol. There are so many who are so close in terms of talent. I guess it all depends on what type of corner youd prefer. Looking at the list though.....jeeze....there are about 10 guys who could be worth of going in the first round. Its unreal
  9. I like the mock. Just not the double dip at oline and while I agree this isn't a top heavy wr class I still there there's plenty of value in the 2-5 rounds. Cooper Kupp is a guy I really like, he doesn't have the best ceiling but I think he'll end up being a solid nfl player
  10. Ya mocks end up getting out of hand come draft season. I think that would be better than having a mock draft thread for everyone to post their mocks. It would be way to hard to follow but I think this idea would work well.
  11. Its ok but i dont like the double dip at gaurd in the second round. Its a weak oline class to begin with and compared to the corner back class it would be a shame if we waited till the 3rd round to nab one. Theres aught to be corners with first round potential in the second this year
  12. After watching tape of sidney jones i kept noticing his counterpart kevin king. Hes got great lenght at 6-3 not many people are talking about him with jones getting all the hype but i really like what i see from him. Had a spectacular one handed interception vs arizona state
  13. I really like what im seeing from john ross. He would be a perfect replacement for steve smith. Hes got electrifying speed and would give us a boost on offense weve been missing. Hes great in those crossing routes that weve liked to use lately. Hes great in the slot and can also be a dynamic returner for us. Wouldnt be mad at all if we got him. Especially with sss potentialy retiring after this year
  14. True but still. All it takes is one team to fall in love with a player, we saw that happen with eli apple last year. I was just saying. Theres still a posibility of hooker falling to the 20s its not like hes a concensus top 10 pick. I was comparing the fact that evans also has had high praise like hooker.
  15. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000696696/article/nfl-executive-texas-ams-justin-evans-will-be-top20-pick
  16. I don't think watts is first round. Not sure if I said it but if I did I didn't mean too. Why don't you think adoree is though. He's an amazing athlete and he's improved his technique every year. I get that he's still a bit raw but he's done a lot to improve his footwork and his hips stay on a swivel. The only reason I said trade up is if a pass rusher we covet drops far enough. It's hard to find elite pass rushers after the first round. The only ones I think we could get in the 20s(if we win the division) are Carl Lawson or takkarist McKinley. I didn't like them much at first cause they're a liability against the run but their explosiveness alone garners first round consideration. I like Ryan Anderson from Alabama but I don't see the bend and athleticism I'd like from a first round 3-4 olb.
  17. Idk he only has one year of film, I'm sure some scouts will be scared off. I think he's a first round prospect but not top 10. Him and Evans have been both getting the same amount of hype not sure where you heard Evans as a 2nd round pick, watts yes but some view Evans as a top 15 pick
  18. What I love about Jackson and King is they can solve 2 of our problems in one pick as they are both great returners. They also have proven ball skills which is one of our biggest problems in the secondary. I questioned jacksons ability to get picks but he's done well for himself as he has 4 already this year. The best thing about all 3 is their character and desire to be great, as they all work on the things that they stuggle with: King had questions about his speed so he started running in sand and Jackson has been working on his technique rather than relying on his athleticism all the time. They all keep good grades in school which is another plus for Ozzie.
  19. I agree. Maybe the guy from UCLA (I don't really want to attempt spelling his name now lol) he has a great first step but this is his only year he's had production. He's still raw and has a great first step, has plenty of upside, But view him as a second round pick at this point. The corner back class is way too loaded to pass on one where we will be sitting. We could have options range from Desmond King, adoree Jackson, Sydney jones, marshon lattimore, Gareon Conley, Cordrea tankersly, the list seems to go on lol. Even Malik hooker might be there considering there's other safeties like Evan, watts, and Jamal Adams that could all go ahead of him not to mention peppers. It's all in preference on who a certain team likes. If we do get lucky with a pass rusher who falls in the first or make a move up to get one with that extra 3rd round pick we have and steal one of these corners in the second that would be best case cenario for us. Btw do would you consider our running scheme as a zone scheme still???? If so then I think Dorian Johnson from Pitt would be a great fit at left guard for us. We could probably nab him in the 3rd round.
  20. With Malik hooker and marshon lattimore garnering all the attention as they well deserve I think Gareon Conley is just as talented. i was watching tape of the other 2 and kept noticing #8 making plays on the ball. Really would be happy with any of these guys in the latter part of the first. Hooker could be a mid first round pick and I couldn't complain. The other 2 would be a major steal in the second round though.
  21. Been watching tape on the Ohio state trio: Malik hooker, Gareon Conley, and marsh on lattimore. The more I watch the more I'm convinced they're all first round caliber players. They are so well coached in coverage it's surreal. The production they have all had this year is amazing because none of them were on the field much in years past besides Conley last year. It's truly amazing how good of a job Ohio states coaching staff does in getting these kids to play at such a high level with so little experience.
  22. I have to say although this class isnt very top heavy it still is a pretty deep class from the 2nd to 4th round. Gabe marks might be the most underrated receiver in this class. He seems to catch everything thrown his way. Hes got phenomenal ball skills and body control. Makes 50-50 balls look like 70-30 balls lol. He has 27 recieving touchdowns the past 2 years and is on pace for 30 so the production is definitely there
  23. I dont see a RB thread but i have to mention alvin kamara out of Tennessee. Hes a phenomenal weapon for any nfl offense. Hes a great returner and would bring something to this offense that we are missing at the running back position. Hes like a poor mans dalvin cook in my eyes, maybe even a better reciever out of the backfeild just not quiet the vision cook has.
  24. The good- run defense and special teams The bad-4 dropped picks The ugly-this offensive line....
  25. Thinking of making a big board thread where we can post our big boards and compare to get an idea of where we value certain players and how the ravens would. Anyone think that would be a thread worth creating?
