  1. I've also been falling in love with Corey Davis lately- but like you said I think bisciotti will have a strong influence on us taking an edge rusher..suggs is almost done and the time might be now so he can have a year or 2 to learn behind him and keep each other fresh.

  2. I think this is a realistic mock. Doesn't blow you away and leave you drooling- but rarely does that ever really happen on draft night.  All picks makes sense- the only beef I have is not taking a corner in such a stacked class at the position..  I know you only did 4  rounds so technically we could still take 1- but I  certainly see us taking one before then. My guess would be with one of the two picks we have in the third.

  3. I like it. Desmond king is iffy but your right about having depth and always good to have somebody that can move around in a pinch. Watt at 16  is also questionable only BC we could get him much later- so a tradeback would be ideal there- but hey if your coming away with a great player what difference does it make in the grand scheme of things? Nice mock.

  4. If there's a run on corners- we'll end up with a dominant pass rusher- if theres a run on pass rushers and 2 qbs- we'll end up with a top corner. If there's a strong mixture of both we'll end up with either mike Williams or Corey Davis. We're coming away with a great PROSPECT regardless. Let's just hope we get the right guy -they are utilized properly- and they become something special. We usually nail rounds 3-5 ..this year we need to nail 1 and 2...Ofcourse stars are found throughout the entire draft so I'll take them wherever they come from. Udfas too. Weve got a strong foundation to build on. This next level is key to getting back to winning the north year after year.

I actually like Desmond King better to draft at corner because he has ball skills imo which l hope he slips into the second round and Ozzie trade up. By looking at his college video, Akhello Witherspoon is a very tall corner but many people complain about his tackling.

I love Desmond king but only as a safety. And now that we addressed that position I'm not so sure I'd take him. If he fell a bit or if the options were thin then heck yeah- but I'd prefer Kevin king over Desmond strictly at corner.

  6. I like it alot-  I just think we certainly will take a receiver somewhere. We almost have to with Aiken departing and Steve retiring. We really only have 2 receivers that are set in stone ( Wallace, Perriman) Moore and camp should be a sure thing but that's still only 4. Assuming we pick up 1 off the open market that leaves ATLEAST 1 spot. 2 if we end up rollin with 7...

  7. I think some ppl are reluctant to want Ross at 16  BC we already have 3 guys who can stretch the feild. However Ross is so shifty and is more than just a 1 trick pony. And it never hurts to have even more speed. Who's to say we cant have 4 burners? That would create mismatches all over the feild and help pad joes stats with some much needed YAC-which our receivers never seem to get.

However if Williams or Davis is there you have to take them.  For some reason I've been seeing Williams drop down in a lot of the medias mocks lately and I'm not sure why. I've seen him fall as low as 30! He seems like the exact fit of what we need in a wideout- but i get the feeling Corey Davis could be the next AJ Green. Joe finally needs a true #1 to compete with the other studs in the North. I've got full faith in Perriman- but a contingency plan and potential dynamic duo never hurts. Having 2 stud Wrs along with Wallace would be huge.

I'm really trying to keep faith in him but sitting and watching game after game makes me sick. He misses easy throws. They are to high, behind the receiver or jumpballs that could be touchdowns if put out in front of the receiver to run under. Perriman had Joe Hayden beat twice last year and the balls was under thrown. Front office does need to surround him with bigger targets. 6'3 plus. Jumpball specialist.

Joe and Perriman need a full training camp together. This will do wonders for them both as far as timing- etc. If he stays healthy-( a big IF I know)  I GUARENTEE you perriman will have a breakout 1000 yd. Season. He's not just a one trick pony- he has the potential to be a true number one. Work on the concentration drops- which I  think ppl had overblown anyway- and work on his rapport with Joe and he can make a major impact with wallace demanding attention on the other side. They could be a great 1-2 punch. A lot of their success is riding on the running game though.. A strong running game will open things up down feild for perriman , Wallace and Moore. Moore was a huge disappointment for me last season- but I still believe he can be great too. He's more of a one trick pony who will burn guys running a straight line downfeild. Wallace and Perriman will both work slants across the middle and you can pick your poisen. All we need to add is 1 big body chain mover. I know it sounds cliche but a reunion with Boldin really does make a lot of sense and will cost us peanuts. Then if we can draft a nice wideout somewhere in the top 3 rounds we will be looking at a pretty strong corps. And that's not including our tight ends. I expect crock to also have a major resurgence now that he's healthy. Boyle can do it all and wallers size /speed combo is a huge mismatch problem. We know what we have in pitta who is joes safety blanket- the only ? Mark is maxx Williams- who has been somewhat of a letdown after having high hopes for him. It takes awhile for tight ends to develop- but the  transition to the NFL seems to have been too much for him. He seemed out of shape and gets injured often. we were laughin up a storm when we jacked him from Pittsburgh and they had to settle for Jesse James- well so far the jokes on us. Hopefully  he proves us wrong and takes a big step this season- but honesty i just don't see it. We may even have to let him go.

We cant keep 5 tight ends- and right now I see it as :

    1) Pitta

    2) Crockett

    3) Waller

    4) Boyle

Watson is  still on our roster as of now too- which appears to be a sure fire cut- but we may keep him around through camp incase of injury. You never know. I was excited about our running back situation - but now with Dixons suspension  things get a little iffy.  If west went down with injury-suddenly we're looking at woodhead as our starter. We may draft a rb higher than most ppl think.

I have been a Baltimore Ravens fan for many years.  Through the years I have stuck by our team time and time again through trades, releases, draft picks, etc.

However, our selections are getting ridiculous!!  First of all, Our DEFENSE is amazing so stop looking for more DE's.  Our DEFENSE is not broken it is our OFFENSE!!

Joe Flacco is a horrible QB!! He doesn't run out of the pocket almost ever and he just tries to bomb it down field on almost every pass.  He's passer rating is terrible, hell even Jay Cutler did better then him this season.

    QBR:

    Joe Flacco

    84.7

    Jay Cutler

    85.7

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NFL_career_passer_rating_leaders

I really do like what Harbaugh has done with our team when he took over and he is a Great guy!!  But come on something has to change because besides Flacco being an over-rated poorly producing QB, it is our selections that are driving me nuts as a Ravens fan!!

Why in the hell do we have 6 Running Backs and 6 Tight Ends on our roster???

    RB:

    1. Justin Forrsett (who we just let go, and who we will regret letting go!)

    2. Kenneth Dixon

    3. Javorius Allen

    4. Lorenzo Taliaferro

    5. Terrance West

    6. Danny Woodhead (who we just picked up for some d*mn reason, injury prone!)

    Tight Ends:

    1. Dennis Pitta

    2. Nick Boyle

    3. Maxx Williams

    4. Ben Watson

    5. Darren Waller

    6. Crocket Gillmore

I still love my Ravens but when decisions like this are made and we are CLEARLY hurting at WR (with Steve Smith gone) why in the hell did we just pick up Danny Woodhead?

You CAN NOT win in the league with just Running Backs and Tight Ends!!!

Thank you for listening.  I am done ranting.  Hopefully we get really good draft picks!! Let's go RAVENS!!

     #Defensecarryingourteamasusual, #fixtheoffense, #newQBplease, #NextSuperbowlChamps, #Ravens4l,

Dude  its MARCH. our roster will look  nothing like this. Tight ends and running backs will be cut when its time to trim down to 53...you need camp bodies  incase of injury obviously.  Also don't think we regretted letting forsett go- he did absolutely nothing with the lions and had minimal impact with denver.  Was much wiser saving the money and giving the reps to the youngsters. It was also a mutual decision- he asked to be released bc he couldn't handle sitting the bench for a few games after a slow start.

It is an unpopular idea, but Conley could be the pick at 16. As you have stated, he has a good resume and checked off all of the boxes at the combine.

I wouldn't mind it. Would be an underrated pick in my eyes.

I'd love Asiata in the third. He even has some experience at center.

Yeah I also mocked him to us in the third. He's freakishly strong. Would be a nice pickup if we used our comp on him.

Cb, pass rusher , Wr and OL are very likely what the first 3 rounds will look like for us. The order is the question.

So, with Zuttah gone, I think the chances went up that we grab a center in the draft. Depending on who is there at 16 a trade back for Feeney seems like an even better idea than it was before, or grabbing Elflein in the second. Isaac Asiata has some experience at C too, and he could be the mauler at the position that the Ravens want.

All three of those players are very good options and a trade back for Feeney sure is looking good right about now- esp with Sidney Jones now out of the equation. If the other top corners are gone and barring someone like Barnett or foster being there- I say we attempt to trade back and grab Feeney without hesitation. Esp if a FA center isn't brought in- you have to imagine drafting one is a no brainer.

As it stands right now, Perriman is the #1 WR on the roster, even with Mike Wallace on the team. I stand firm on the idea that Perriman is going to be a beast and personally I think he could be a star next season. He has the raw tools, I just think that he needs to refine his routes and improve his chemistry with Joe, I find those two concerns to be my biggest. I think he's going to come into next season improved on those routes. People forget that Perriman played in a Pro style offense at UCF that asked him to run a variety of routes. It's not like he's unfamiliar with the concept similar to what we've seen from player who come from Baylor or Oregon.

Still, I don't anyone being concerned with that, at the same time we still have to rely on the guy whether we like it or not.

In terms of a WR, we did trade for AnQuan Boldin back in 2010 so we could trade for someone, though I doubt it will happen. Speaking of Boldin I would love to have him back here, sure he's on the back end of his career but I feel that he still has something left in the tank and could push the guys behind him to play better. I also think his physical brand of play style could push Perriman to play more physical as well.

    I agree on both fronts.

if you look at what Zuttah did well, and where he struggled its an exact mirror of where the offense struggled.

The running game will not be what we want with a guy like Zuttah at Center. Big tackles just push him back, and the RBs consistently have to break tackles in the back field for positive gains. He's only effective run blocking on pulls or in space -- both of which we're going away from (stretch zone).

And, bigger penetrating DT's knock him into Joe's lap. Joe is pretty decent at avoiding pressure off the edges at this point in his career. Where i think he struggles most is when he cant step forward ( or is forced to step backward) when he wants to throw. Leads to throwing off the back foot and fading away which leads to picks. Its also the quickest way to put pressure on the QB.

I'd take a lesser athlete, and less technically proficient player for someone that can bully people in the run game. We prob arent going to be doing much of having our center out in space so Zuttahs strengths become null and void -- and his weakness become highlighted.

We just need someone who can bully big guys in the run game, and anchor down/hold their own in the passing game. Playing next to Yanda makes any Center look better, so i think Zuttahs play got a little artificial bump based on that.

Neither Zuttah or Mangold would be a long term option. Mangold at least fits the type of blocker we want in the middle, and has the experience and leadership to make the whole line better even if hes not individually head and shoulders above Zuttah.

Even if we dont go after Mangold, getting rid of Zuttah could be addition by subtraction, and we already have Jensen and Skura who i like as potential internal options.

The FO has a plan. They arent just cutting guys willy nilly out here. Hes gone for a reason. We'll find that reason out soon. But i can guarantee everyone, what we see as 2 holes on the OL wont appear that way by the time TC rolls around.

Yep and how many times did we see Zuttah get pushed back immediately getting his feet tangled and tripping Joe up ? Extremely annoying.

I just see Howard as a generational talent. I think he can be the best tight end in the league it's just that we dont value tight ends that high in the NFL. I'm afraid foster could be a product of Bamas system and I'm a bama guy. I mean it took foster 2 years to start and I think they simplified things for him. As for Williams, I think receivers are overrated in the NFL. You can win without them and Williams is pretty one dimensional to me. He's not a top flight receiver and I don't think his roof is as high as people like.

I just think Howard was underutilized at Bama, he does everything well and has no concerns off the feild. He maintained a 4.0 GPA as well. Foster has that nagging shoulder and the incedent at the combine doesn't bode well for him either. He also had questions coming out of high school.

Howard just has the highest ceiling and has the highest floor of the 3. In my eyes at least

Makes sense. We are just on max overload at the position lol... A lot of young potential but none of them have taken that next step. Would be nice if we could trade one and atleast get some compensation. Think there'd be any interest in pitta or maxx?

Since we're playing this game I guess I'll give it a go.

    Lattimore > Barnett > Howard > foster > Davis > Williams > Humphrey

I didn't include hooker or Adams cause I see no realistic Crap that they are there. Same with fournette and I'm starting to dislike fournette. I just think he won't translate well to the NFL. Running over 18-22 year olds isn't the same as 22-30 year olds. Everyone is big and fast in the NFL

I see what you mean about fournette and i actually think you may be right. But Howard over foster and Williams? Don't know about that..

i take adams over every single person you mentioned because he's that good although barnett would be the one player i'd have the hardest time passing on for him

for me it would look more like this

Adams = Barnett > Foster > Lattimore > Davis > Williams > Fournette - that's not to say i don't like fournette because i do like him, i just like everyone else you mentioned better - this also isnt the order i think these guys go in necessarily but it's how they are on my ravens big board

    I think for me its

    Barnett> Lattimore> Foster>Williams>Fournette>Adams> Davis

I know many would think that's crazy but with our situation at safety I think we have to take that into consideration.

Pass rusher is the first priority if a guy like Barnett is there. Then comes CB if arguably the top rated Lattimore is there. Foster is a no brainer and fills an indirect need with the departure of Orr..that would give us the top lb duo in the league along with safety and a stout D line. Mike Williams would be next being the top WR candidate who fits the mold to a T of what we need in s receiver. Fournette would be a game changer and give us that guy that teams have to game plan for.  Becomes slightly more of a need with Dixon getting suspended.. Not a huge deal but if West went down with an injury we'd be in some trouble. For that reason I'd have to put him in front. Lastly I'd take Adams before Davis. Davis is great but he's the one guy out of all these players who's not seen as a top ten lock. It would be so hard to pass on Adams in these scenarios and it may not be the right move - just my opinion that we're so close to becoming a real contender- we just have to fill the two positions that have absolutely plagued us since 2013...cornerback and pass rusher. If I didn't think we couldn't get atleast another 3 solid years from Weddle I'd take Adams in a heartbeat over all these guys. I just think we're set there- and he's always been pretty durable. Knock on wood. Also if we can bring Webby back at a reduced number he will be very good depth at safety.

    1

  16. Let's say for some reason Jamal  Adams falls to us ..who is obviously a top 5 talent.. But then we also have Corey Davis fall to us or Barnett. Do we take the position of need or do we go with the BPA who plays a position we are absolutely set at?  I don't think you could pass up a top 5 talent that could turn out to be a complete stud- esp BC weddles not exactly young. I would still be pretty torn here... What about these other scenarios...

    Adams > Davis

    Adams < Mike Williams

    Adams < Barnett

    Adams > Humphrey ??

    Adams < Fournette

    Fournette > Davis

    Fournette < Mike Williams

    Foster < Lattimore ??

    Foster > Mike Williams??

Completely irrelevant BC it would never happen- just some hypotheticals. Then again nobody thought Tunsil would evn sniff outside of the top 10..things happen. So you have to be prepared for anything.
