Why we decided to go with Babin over Dwight Freeney really beats the hell out of me.

Well we see how that worked out for us. Hindsight I guess. Looking at how Babin performed for us and how Freeney has done ( forced the game sealing sack and fumble last night) I just don't see how it Babin could have been deemed in better shape or better for our team. Who cares if Freeney costed more - we can't always go the cheap route thinking we're going to find a steal...sometimes you get what you pay for.
Watching the steelers game last night made me absolutely sick to my stomach. Il admit it's a little bit of jealousy. Seeing them execute and have the calls and balls constantly bouncing their way was just irritating. Also seeing how many weapons Ben has at his disposal compared to our udfas and practice squad guys yet we still competed in every single game. One silver lining for us is that Buck Allen is really coming into his own and looks like he could possibly be the rb of the future f...
So it is always great fun to watch the Patsies lose & Brady play like crap. Of course, it isn't HIM (including the Pick 6) it is his lack of weapons and O line issues. Yep yep!

These reps he's getting as the starter right now are extremely valuable and will allow him to develop more quickly. I'd hate to say that forsett is expendable Bc it's entirely premature and I'd like to keep him around for depth purposes and leadership if anything- but buck very well could carry the load for us next season. If we can get an upper tier LT in the draft we will be in very good shape.
these last few weeks, especially after the bye... i love what i am seeing from our defensive scheme... we are implementing more cover 2 and more cover 3 zone with both corners playing relatively close to the ball. Also installing some 43 and giving exotic blitz looks... dean pees has been doing his job for a good stretch now... your thoughts?
Kinda funny that roethlisberger doesn't enter the concussion protocol until AFTER the Seahawks touchdown that put the game out of reach. With the recent controversy over the Rams mishandling the Keenum situation I thought for sure they would take the cautious route and atleast make sure he was fine. It was like they didn't even want to check on him because the game was on the line and they needed him in there. He took a pretty nasty helmet to helmet. Anyway- just an observation.
I think I figured out why most here are more concerned with a top pick than winning out and getting to the playoffs. Just the idea of grabbing a top 5/10 player is so out of the ordinary that the first time we have that chance it's fascinating to us as fans. So wanting to lose out to ensure we get that player, is something that intrigues us enough where losing just becomes a positive. Also the fact, it may be a while before we get this opportunity at a top 5/10 player again.
It's cowardly of a person to remove a post without justification or notification. Especially, when the post is non-offensive and did not violate the forum rules.
And you people called me crazy for wanting to draft Jared Goff -__-
Glad to see Jeremy Butler get a chance tonight, hope he makes the best for himself
Who'd be in favor of an almost complete WR reshuffle this offseason? Of course Perriman is staying on board and Aiken could be a decent rotational piece, definitely not a starter, but who else should stay? Waller will get a chance in camp sure but Brown needs to go, Camp has proven that he can't stay healthy at all, Smith will obviously be gone, too early to tell with Givens and Ross. Why not bring in a piece via FA and couple picks?
If Russell Wilson genuinely wants to be the highest paid player in NFL history then he better prepare to be disappointed. No team will pay that much for a game manager. He isn't the kind of QB that can carry a team to a SB like Manning, his greatest asset is that he doesn't make too many mistakes but put him on a team without an elite defense and he'll crumble, he can't put a team on his back and make them winners, just not the player he is.
