  1. I think its certainly possible Williams falls to the 2nd. Ideally Davis or Williams falls to us at 16 and then we'd trade up with one of our thirds and a future pick to get Williams if he's still there in the 2nd. Then we grab the best remaining corner with our last third. Use 4 and 6 to beef up the O line and take a RB with our 5.
  2. Yeah at this point he's at the top of the list as far as who I hope we get- ...that's actually reasonable anyway. With Davis and Williams equally being next. Then its Foster and Reddick followed by Tak McKinley. Not sure how to feel about Dalvin Cook but with his issues I'm pretty sure he's not on our board anyway.
  3. Mehh... Barnett was a good pick.
  4. Lol I'm digging the attitude and the mock.
  5. I've cooled and heated and cooled and heated on Peppers about 10 times.
  6. I was involved in a pretty serious car accident a few days ago and I've been in the hospital since. I've got a lot of time on my hands so yall please bare with me as I do another one of these to try and pass the time and ease my mind. Hopefully the meds don't skew my thought process too much 1) Reuban Foster- him paired with Mosley gives us a killer defense at every level. This has Ozzie written all over it. Not a huge need per say but he will be the BPA on our board at the time. 2) ( tradeback for extra 3rd) Sidney Jones- Iffy pick here but this guy will certainly go in the 2nd being one of the top 3 corners in the draft. Since our entire secondary is pretty much already set - it won't hurt us at all to basically redshirt him for a year. Sucks he got injured at his pro day BC I think he certainly had a great shot of being our pick at 16...but hey this could work out even better for us. Allowing us to land Foster and still get him and give him a year to learn behind Jimmy and Carr. Word is he might be healthier sooner than people think too so who knows. 3) is it possible Tim Williams could actually slide this far due to his off the feild issues and iffy combine performance? Probably not. But one can hope. Thought about going Bowser here as well but in the end I went with Jordan Willis. He had a pretty monster combine but also a great year 11.5 sacks- 17.5 tackles for a loss and 3 FF. I think he'd be a good fit here. 3)Taylor Moton- in such a weak offensive line draft- other than the few first round guys he's really the only player I can see being a strong fit for us to replace Wagner. 3) Rasul Douglas- I've been very vocal about this guy being one of my fav corners in the draft. Hes got good height to go along with his ball Hawking skills. Probably a good idea to double dip here- esp since Sidney will likely be redshirted- Douglas can contribute right away. Witherspoon or Sutton are two other options here. 4) Was tough to wait on a receiver until the 4th - but I've got faith that Perriman can become that true number 1..and I also believe we pick up 2 veteran receivers after the draft. Thought about going Dede Westbrook or Isaiah Ford here- & I also like two other guys KD Cannon and Chance Allen. However I went with Noah Brown from Ohio st. He didn't put up any monster numbers but the potential is there. He has good size as I think we need taller receivers and I think he could become a great possession/ redzone target. 5) ( tradeback for a 7th rd pick) Joe Williams- everybody knows I'm a big Pumphrey fan but thought I'd switch it up. This guys a real sleeper and put up big numbers for Utah. 6) 2 choices here - Tanzel Smart or Ryan Glasgow. Depending on the info we get from Jim about Glasgow- he might be the pick...but as of now im gonna go with Tanzel Smart- who has been projected anywhere between the 3-6. I'm gonna say he falls and we snatch him- providing some much needed interior pass rush. He had 5.5 sacks with 18.5 tackles for a loss for Tulane. He could work well next to Bwill and Peirce. 7)Robert Davis- we've got a lot of spots at WR to fill currently only having 2 sure starters at the position. Probably a good idea to double dip here as well. This guy out of Georgia st. Had 4 straight years of solid production and then showed out at the combine. Perfect combo of size and speed and good value for the 7th round. In review: Reuban Foster - LB Sidney Jones - CB Jordan Willis - OLB Taylor Moton - RT Rasul Douglas- CB Noah Brown - WR Joe Williams - RB Tanzel Smart - DT Robert Davis- WR
  7. This would pretty much be ideal for me. Usually in that case it seems too good to be true but this is definitely in the realm of possibilities. But yeah I don't think I could walk away much happier.
  8. I cringed when I saw McDowell as your first pick at 16 but then when I saw we landed TJ in the 2nd I thought about it and that would actually be the perfect scenario. We desperately need some interior rush with the several run stuffers we have...and if we can land an outside rusher like watt in the 2nd anyway who is a first round talent in my eyes its the perfect combo. However do you think we may have to trade up to get Watt? I also like Desmond king and I'm torn on him BC I see him as a real boom or bust player.. And there are several other corners I'd rather have their in the third- such as Witherspoon- Kazee- and a few others..but the third is most definitely where we should target a corner. I question whether waiting until the fourth for a receiver is a good idea but you went with the next best thing with our other third addressing the o line which is smart.. Also not sure about Garcia but I like going o line there and I think we can still probably get a very good receiver in the fourth. I agree about Perriman taking over the reigns next year and also about needing a guy that can help bail Joe out in those tough situations. I also like a guy such as Isaiah Ford if we wait that long - but like your pick as well. It really all balls down to what we do with that first pick as to how the rest of the draft goes. And right now there are 3-4 different directions i could see us going. Maybe even 5. Pass rusher, receiver, LB, OL, and as you stated maybe even DT. and I'm not even 100% convinced that we might not take a shot with Dalvin Cook. What exactly trouble was he involved in again? Was it clear cut DV or something else? I highly doubt we'd go that route but it sure would help our offense and he will make a big impact whatever team takes him.
  9. I was wondering if we still had him. I actually think he can be a really good receiver for us. I just got so tired of seeing Joe throw the ball in the endzone to the shortest receivers on the team. Throw some damn over the shoulder fades to Waller and Mathews who can actually go up and get it.
  10. I hope they do- the more qbs taken the better the chance of a top tier guy making it to us such as Barnett.
  11. Tim Williams won't make it to the third. I don't think I'd have a problem with us taking Sidney in the second though- esp with our starting corners basically set..we can redshirt him and he might even make it back sooner than expected. Really sucks he had to get hurt BC I think there was a strong chance of us taking him at 16. In the end this could actually work out better though if he wouldn't have started right away anyway..hard to say.
  12. That's the way I see it- with cb / wr being interchangeable depending on who falls where. However I believe there will be more talented corners left in the third than there will be WRs. So I've got us going 1) Pass rusher 2) WR 3) CB 3) OL
  13. I know many people don't do trades in mocks- but I'm all but convinced we trade back and acquire and extra 2nd or 3rd to give us extra ammunition since I'm thinking Barnett , Williams and Davis will all be gone due to the lack of qbs taken. Ross will not be on our board. I think we will be aggressive to an extent- but we have a lot of holes and roster spots to fill. A lot of people think we need to go all out and get Joe weapons- which we will get him some- but I think this will be a very defense heavy draft despite already making several defensive moves in FA. I think we saw how close we were to having a #1 defense last year- noticed our weaknesses- and will attempt to capitalize and add on to that so we can get back to the Ravens of old. We are going to have a solid defense across the board - with strong depth as well. I will say in this case we tradeback just a couple spots to net an extra third and still land our original target. 1) Tak McKinley- one of the top receivers would've been nice- but so is getting an extra third and still landing one of the top pass rushers to give us a heir for an aging Suggs. 2) Kevin King - many have him as a first round talent- and he's been moving up a lot of peoples boards lately. Great height at 6'3 and reads qbs well. Will be great competition for Carr or as an insurance policy if Jimmy goes down again. I think with all the ammunition we have in the third- we use one of those picks to jump back into the 2nd. 2) JuJu Schuster- as I said Williams obviously would've been nice - but Ju also fits the bill perfectly as to what we need- a tall possession type receiver. Some might not expect him to be around at the end of the 2nd- which is exactly why we aggressively jump up to grab him. 3( From Eagles) Taylor Moton- we need a replacement for Wagner and he actually ends up being an upgrade. This guy is like a freakin grizzly bear. Can also move to Tackle in a pinch. Great value here. 3) Rasul Douglas- we double dip at corner to make sure we get it right. Another guy with good height who goes after the ball and makes things happen. Turnovers win games and this guy will get us some much needed interceptions when he sees the feild. Big fan of this guy. 4) Carroll Phillips- double dipping at pass rusher is also a pretty good idea. We tend to do most of our best work between rounds 3- 5.. So hopefully this is another one of those late round gems Ozzie hits on. 5) Donnell Pumphrey- this is one of those guys I have a hard time figuring out where he will end up going. Could go anywhere from the 3rd to 6th...however I know he is definitely in our crosshairs as we have spoken and met with him more than any other back. He's a smaller structured guy but don't let that fool you- he can get it done. Broke Marshall Faulks yardage record and pretty much can do it all. I watched him on an ESPN draft special last night featuring running backs where he was on with Dalvin Cook and a couple of the other top backs in the draft- and he just puts off that future star vibe. He did very well in all the drills and my only worry is he's now on a lot of other teams radars and may get scooped up sooner. I believe I've included him in every mock I've done so far and I'm including him in this one. 6) this pick couldve went a lot of different ways -so I used the process of elimination. With the CB additions along with the signing of Jefferson you can pretty much say our secondary is set. I would say we could draft a safety here but with the recent resigning of Webb I think were very content here with Weddle, Jefferson, Webb , and Levine. LB was another option- however I get the feeling we have a lot of confidence in either Patrick Onwasaur or KC stepping up beside CJ Mosley. I've addressed the pass rushers already as I have us double dipping to go along with Suggs, Judon , ZDS, and Kafusi. The only thing really left is possibly taking a DT -double dipping at WR ( which we do currently have a lot of openings) or further bolstering the Oline. Any of those 3 would make perfect sense- the FO has addressed that the OL will be a priority- but I think we will eventually sign Nick Mangold and we also have high hopes for a few of our other guys such as Wesley and Nembot. I also think we will sign 2 vet receivers to go along with Juju - Wallace- Perriman - and Campanaro. One of which will be Boldin. So I have us leaning towards taking a DT. With Peirce and Bwill- we have a lot of size to stuff the run- but we don't have much interior pass rush. I think we attempt to take the highest rated DT on their board who knows how to get after the quarterback. I'm not very savvy when it comes to scouting players - so I'll admit I kind of just guessed here...Ryan Glasgow seems like he'd be a good fit. Being a guy from Michigan- Jim will give us the scoop on whether he's worth it or not- but he had a pretty impressive season as a senior with 4 sacks, 9.5 tackles for a loss, and a FF. However he's best suited for a 4-3 defense. That being said- there's always a few guys that fall- and Im gonna say we get lucky and Vincent Taylor falls in our lap. He's a sleeper but he's had 12 sacks in the last 2 years. In 2017 he had 13 tackles for a loss- 7 sacks and 2 FF.. He's got good size and is a good athlete who would give us some much needed interior pass rush. Guys like Brady and Big Ben; who are 2 of the main guys we will have to get through to take it all the way; easily avoid outside rushers by stepping up in the pocket. But time and time again teams have shown that pressure up the middle drive him and Brady crazy. Peirce and Bwill will stuff the run- but after the Jernigan trade we need a guy who is a threat up the middle. Slim chance he will fall to the 6th but certainly possible and IMO we will turn the card in quickly. In review: TAK MCKINLEY - DE KEVIN KING - CB JU-JU SMITH-SCHUSTER - WR TAYLOR MOTON - G RASUL DOUGLAS - CB CARROLL PHILLIPS - OLB DONNELL PUMPHREY - RB VINCENT TAYLOR - DT
  14. I like.
  15. You don't think Pocic will go before Elflein? It is a very weak class.
  16. Im a fan. Upvote from me. Tim Williams in the 2nd is a stretch but certainly possible and would love it.
  17. The 2nd seems a little early for Elflein. I'm a big fan of the Witherspoon pick in the third though. The third is definitely where we need to pounce on a CB.
  18. Does seem like a realistic draft that would initially leave fans very skeptical...but there is some high potential here. That being said I think we go a much safer route- esp with our first pick. We do really need some interior pass rush with bwill and Peirce being run stuffers so I def understand the logic..I just don't think we address that with our first pick.
  19. Just wanted to point out you said Ross is the first receiver off the board despite Williams being taken a few picks before him. Maybe BC you switched him and Conley? Not that it really matters. Anyway I like all these picks for the most part. However I think we can get a better PURE corner than King- since I project him to be a better safety. Although I like his versatility. One guy I've really fallen in love with in the later rounds is Donnell Pumphrey- I know I've been pretty vocal about it too.. I just think we could get him very late in the draft and he can be a much better version of Buck Allen.
  20. Would be very satisfied.
  21. Definitely a possibility.
  22. Really I think if we tradeback far enough in the first there's a shot we could acquire an extra 2 anyway. In that case nothing really changes.
  23. Ahhh I see my mistake. I meant to include giving up a future 3rd as well since we'll hopefully be getting atleast 1 comp next year. My bad, I got too fancy. I've always been terrible at mocks anyway.
  24. I had us trading back a few spots in the first to grab an extra third -- giving us 3 in the third. Then we use that same pick to jump back up in the 2nd while still having our 2 original thirds. Confusing I know- which is why many people don't include trades in mocks...I just think we'll be doing a lot of wheeling and dealing this year and had some time to kill this morning lol
  25. "I think with all the ammunition we have in the third- we use one of those picks to jump back into the 2nd" 2) JuJu Schuster- as I said Williams obviously would've been nice - but Ju also fits the bill perfectly as to what we need- a tall possession type receiver. Some might not expect him to be around at the end of the 2nd- which is exactly why we aggressively jump up to grab him.
