  1. that's a tall order for jimmy - but if anybody can handle the task it's him if he stays healthy.
  2. upshaw Is really gonna take off this year- esp this being a contract year- he's really gona push himself and take that next step. I think zadarius will also have a strong first season. Also kind of thinking buck will kind of be our 2012 Bernard peirce from the postseason. That's what he reminds me of. Not sure about tray walker but I will reserve any judgment until I see more- haven't seen enough.
  3. me too buddy, me too. It's gonna be a beautiful thing.
  4. It may be just me but I have a hard time trusting any player coming from New England . For some reason in the back of my mind I just have this notion that bellechik sent him here to steal our signals and be kind of like a double agent and then get cut on purpose like legarette Blount and report back to New England before the postseason. Lol I'm kidding ofcourse , but I wouldn't put anything pass them jokers.
  5. In a matter of 3 weeks oz has gotten almost all fans to go from being "skeptical" to pretty darn confident in this roster. I mean seriously- a few weeks ago we were all talking about how thin our WR corps was- and now were pretty much set and trying to figure out who's actually gonna be the odd man out. We had a very questionable situation at tight end with pittas injury and the lack if experience with Crockett and supernaw- and in one stroke Ozzie takes care of it with flying colors. And finally the last real weak spot on the team was the secondary and he makes a pretty big pickup with a veteran corner and suddenly things are looking really good. I know some of you think it was just an easy common sense pickup and that Arrington kind of just fell on our lap- but a lot of things had to happen for things to go so smoothly . If we hadn't worked out those deals with jimmy etc. our cap situation wouldn't be what it was now- and another team may have outbid us. I'm sure we weren't the only team interested in his services- and I'm pretty sure New England actually was going to try to bring him back as well. This is just one if those times we need to truly appreciate our general manager. I know we still have some work to do- but like him and John said- they're not done yet.
  6. I see us coming out week one and completely obliverating Denver., embarrassing kubiak and making Peyton question his decision to return another year. 38-14 , flacco throws 4 Tds - Forsett/ buck run one in and tucker knocks one through. Jimmy and kendrick both pick off Peyton. And we sack Brady 4-5 times. Lol I know predictions are stupid - but I whole heartedly believe we will crush Denver. Making a statement to start off the season- the ravens ain't playin.
  7. I guess I didn't really notice bc most of his catches were all pretty spread out- I almost can't remember a single game he had over 3 catches. Also it's easy to remember Tds bc that's what wins games . And since marlon caught so many in his rookie year I guess it was just suprising to me that he didn't catch any all year. That said I like both of these guys- no need to compare them bc they are both ravens, and hopefully both make the team. Just like harbaugh I expect marlon to have a big year.
  8. no but they will line him up there occasionally just to switch things up.
  9. I somewhat agree- but just bc the injury bug hit us at cornerback last year doesn't mean it can't hit us at wide reciever this year. I agree I don't think carter and camp both make the team - although I wouldn't rule anything out. I disagree with your assessment on Aiken - and I don't know how you figured marlon finished off the season stronger than Aiken? I didn't really see it that way- I saw Aiken coming up big for us all throughout the year with the minimal opportunities he had. However I don't blame marlon for not being as productive either bc he wasn't utilized nearly as much as he should have been. I see Aiken as a solid number 3 guy as it stands now- we"ll see how everything shakes out after camp. Somebody's gotta want it more - and I'm interested to see who really improves over this offseason and takes the next step- bc marlon and Aiken definitely have that opportunity infront of then. We can't keep em all- and like I said earlier we could use one of them as trade bait to tighten up other positions.
  10. So excited to see how this guy pans out- he just seems like one of those sleeper picks and i think we may have struck gold. Also excited to see how they use him. Will be interesting to see him line up at tight end in the redzone and cause defenses to panic. Ahh I'm gonna love it
  11. Wallers gonna be a nice asset this year. I can feel it. I think trestman and harbaugh both are really high in this guy and I expect him to be utilized heavily . Just hearin that psl conference where harbaugh was already talkin about linin up Waller in diffrent schemes and what not gives me the impression he's pretty much a lock.
  12. I was gonna say the same thing- I think it's more of a compliment to perriman than it is a knock on walker.
  13. Definitely fired up about this-
  14. Asa has looked really good in preseason- I think it's him or carter
  15. Is it crazy for me to say that so far boyle is looking better than maxx? From what ive seen, which isnt much , this dude is killin it!
  16. question answered. just what i was waiting to hear too. Just read that cj mosely took even longer to sign last year
  17. I havent heard anything about waller being injured- im hoping that guy meant to say julian. Thats the one thing we have to avoid and we will be spectacular- INJURIES
  18. 100% agree with the entire post- took the words out my mouth.
  19. It is too early to tell on Waller- I think a lot of ppl are just assuming bc if his size and the type of offense trestman likes to run that he will be a lock. And they very well could be right- but if he can't run the routes effectively it will be somebody else. I have high hopes for him though. If any injuries occur with any of these guys (heaven forbid ) it might work itself out and the decision will be made for them .
  20. Yeah I just asked in another thread if it's normal for first rounders to take a few weeks to sign? I'm assuming it is, I can't remember how long it took our past first rounders.
  21. Is it normal for a first round player to take a few weeks to sign?
  22. I disagree with a lot of you on Aiken - this guy ended up playing a fairly big role for us last season and made some crucial catches . Don't get me wrong - anybody can perform badly in camp or be out of shape and be cut- but I definitely wouldn't say Aiken is on the chopping block. I more so see camp as the wildcard - yes I know almost everybody here is really high on him - and if he stays healthy I think he's got a good shot - esp since he will be in the mix as a kick returner. I just see him having to battle it out with carter. Obviously SSS is a lock- our only returning 1000 yard receiver- and he will be kept for leadership purposes if anything . Might be his last year- and just the fact that harbaugh said he will be used in a more limited role kind of makes me think we might hold on to 7 Wrs , esp. If one if them is used as a kick returner. Perrimans a lock- our first round pick to replace Torrey and stretch the feild . Marlon brown is a tough one- Id like to think he is a lock- my gut tells me he's a lock- but there's just something in the back of my mind that's skeptical. Yeah they said his role last year was decreased bc of SSS coming in, but that's just hard to believe. I don't know what it is, bc it seems like he catches everything that's thrown at him- maybe it's just a seperation issue. Idk, but I think he could posssssibly be the odd man out. Hate to say it, and i could be dead wrong. Waller is a lock- our 6th round pick, tall and fast, fits our scheme for what trestman wants to do, big redzone target. I don't know much about worthy or butler - but with all these other guys they will really have to shine to make it. So to sum up- 1)perriman. 2) SSS 3) Aiken 4) Waller 5) Brown 6) camp and carter fight it out for possible final spot and the KR/PR position. I guess it's possible we hold on to a 7th - but definitely not likely. Also does anybody think we might actually use somebody like marlon brown or camp for trade bait to shore up another position of need? Hasn't really been mentioned - but given the number of talented receivers somebody's gonna be the odd man out- so we could trade one of our proven commodities and give one of the younger guys a shot. All I know is I would hate to be the coach that had to make the final roster -sure is gonna be tough .
  23. Boyle just looks like a beast. He's definitely gonna be one of our top blockers and will really help us in double tight end sets. Trestmans gonna have a ball creating a play book for this roster.
  24. I don't see brown or Aiken getting cut. I also am pretty high on Waller and don't think our 6th round pick will get cut. That said I do not know a whole lot about carter - so I'm not gonna act like I do. The same with butler. Just from what I've seen from the other guys I just have a hard time seein anybody beating them out- however I am gonna do some homework on carter so I can be a little more objective - bc I have been hearing a lot of positive things.
  25. This guy does look pretty smoothe in the little bit of tape I've seen.
