  1. which wouldnt be too bad considering.
  2. damn his legs are like tree trunks from the redwood forest. lol his hair does looks like broccoli too. hes probably a beast
  3. id like to see one of the undrafted guys make it, but i dont see it happening this year. i think worthy, carter and perry have the best shot, but its gonna take alot. shining in rookie camp doesnt mean much, we will see what happens when the big boys come in.
  4. looks like jernigan, camp, and marlon are leading the pack. i can agree with jernigan and marlon, i just think camp is going to have a hard time "breaking out" atleast in the receiving aspect- just because we have so many talented receivers and i think a good number of catches will be distributed to all of them. perriman and marlon will see alot of throws, and thats not even including maxx, posssibly pitta; and with the way trestman utilizes the running backs i can see allen and forsett catching a great deal of passes. oh yeah, and thats not even mentioning SSS. so yeah, gonna be difficult for any one man to shine. however i do think that camp has the chance to break out in the kick returning aspect. i also think he will do a solid job moving the chains. marlon and waller will be our redzone machines, along with double tight end sets, switching up crockett and boyle and just confusing defenses whether we are running or passing. i think juice improves this year- but no way does he catch even 40 passes. thats extremely optimistic. like i said, i dont think anybody is going to have an extreme statistical year, everybody is going to contribute and we are going to just win games plain and simple.. we are gonna be spreading the ball around so much, moving the ball downfeild, wearing defenses down and just punching it down their throat. gonna be a real team effort, and that is a recipe for a superbowl trophy.
  5. lol I didn't think we did , tucker won that game almost single handedly. Or single footedly. Yeah man now harbaughs gonna have to start walkin out and tappin his right leg makin a call to the bullpen.
  6. If he wasn't cleared by a doctor I would be the first one to tell you he needs to call it quits for his family's sake. But he was- and most of us are here to discuss the ravens and football. Somebody said earlier " why would you only care about the cap hit when this guy is injured and putting his body on the line to entertain us?" Which I actually agree with - it's messed up. But isn't that what a lot of us do all the time with players of a lower caliber? Players get cut all the time- players get injured all the time - and I usually don't hear ppl being worried about THEIR life after football. No- we say things like - "he's not durable enough to make the team" - or "he's always hurt he deserves to be cut" just bc they might not be as good as the next. But I wouldn't expect anyone to treat them like they are less "holy than thou " just bc they are talking about things in a football perspective- even if I don't always agree with it. Would we be singing the same tune if this was the same situation for someone like jah Reid for example? Pittas a good guy- which makes it really tough. But none of us here (I'm assuming) know him in his personal life or are friends with him. Even though a lot of ppl act like they are. If pitta read this thread he would probably think we were all idiots and just be like "dude I just want to play some football". My main point was none of us are guidance counselors- it's ok to care about a guy and wish him the best- but ofcourse we are rooting for him to come back and beat the odds. And even if he doesn't he will still go down as one of my favorite players and have plenty of respect from me.
  7. these statements from tucker seems like hes directly speaking to the ravens front office as to why hes worth more money. lol he put up a pretty strong argument too.
  8. did we even score any touchdowns in the lions game? i thought that was the game that was won solely by the foot of justin tucker? i know he kicked the 60 some yarder for the win but i dont remember us scoring other than that. anyway- i dont think theres much of a difference as far as stamina goes. although thats not sayin i dont think there should be 2 kickers. esp when you have multiple kickers that are talented.
  9. i think schefter was just quoting what kraft said- bc in kraft statement he said he was reluctantly accepting the punishment.
  10. ofcourse not- but you cant say that didnt give them atleast a little leverage in not giving him the money he wanted. that gave them the oppurtunity to see how we could hold up without him- even if it was against mediocre teams.
  11. thats the million dollar question. ima leave that one up to ozzie. id like to say yanda is more important, bc without an o line you are not getting in position to score any points in the first place. im trying not to be bias bc i am a huge tucker fan, but i think yanda is more valuable. heck his salary says so atleast.
  12. i think hes aware of that- it was just the way he worded it that caused the confusion. however i'll let him speak for himself.
  13. i agree for the most part- but obviously stats arent everything. flacco is more of a game manager. and the turnovers are a pretty big deal bc sometimes that is the deciding factor in winning or losing. while you have to awknowledge the ravens coaching staff and management is far superior to miami, you also cant downplay the importance of flaccos play in the "must win" games. thats one of the big reasons he got the contract he did- and tannehill has yet to show he has that ability. however i think this was a good move for miami. i do see the potential in tannehill and like it was previously stated, the dolphins wouldnt have had much luck finding a better option over the next 5 years.
  14. I'm with you- a little early to know for sure - but he def puts off a good vibe.
  15. I want all of our players to have the greatest year possible. We need every sack we can get! If he prices himself out of baltimore that would suck- but that's the nature if the game. If he has a spectacular season I'm sure we will make a strong effort to keep him- the rest will be up to him.
  16. lol I feel you- that's very true but things like that happen - players drop catches and coaches forget to call timeouts- but it goes right back to who do you want kicking in those chaotic stressful situations to get us over the hump? My money would be on tucker all day- u just can't phase that guy- he handles pressure like it's absolutely nothin.
  17. I see what you mean about grooming a guy that's more likely to be here in the future - but hey if upshaw is goin to play his tail off this year to earn that $$, I say we let him do his thing. It's a win now league- and if he produces well enough for us this year to price himself out of baltimore? More power to him- see ya later and thanks for the memories. We have no problem letting guys go when they cost too much, esp when we already have the replacement. infact I think Ozzie actually gets some satisfaction out of it and it's kind of like a mutual respect. Atleast that's the way I saw it with McPhee. But you gotta go with who's producing NOW , regardless of where they will be next year.
  18. I voted for him in the poll to be the breakout player of the year. just got that feeling. I really see him filling in for McPhee well and knocking down Atleast 5 or 6 sacks, hopefully more.
  19. I hear that- I'm not too concerned about it either. Tucker just seems like a baltimore guy and he's really easy going- and like you said it won't be difficult to reach an agreement anyway. However I think we mighhhht have to use the tag on yanda next year- I actually thought jimmy was going to play this year out and we might use it on him next year- but to my surprise they got it done fairly early. I just think yanda is really realizing he's one of ;if not THE top guard in the league and he's takin a look around at some of the other guys around the league like ngata and suh who are maximizing their earnings and he might be wanting to do the same. Just a thought- hope I'm wrong, and like I said the tag is always there if so.
  20. no kidding dude - it's sad when ngata leads your team in interceptions. We have to create more take aways- that's what really puts games away.
  21. if we had tucker in 2011 we would probably have another Super Bowl victory under out belts now. Can't deny the importance of a clutch kicker in crucial situations, when the games on the line in the playoffs I don't want to rely on anyone other than tucker. Also have to consider the possible moving back of the PAT this year. Not gonna make a huge difference but it does increase the value of a good kicker.
  22. I don't think the 8 Tds is too hopeful - however I think 1000 yards will be difficult to obtain for him- just bc i think a substantial amount of yards will be distributed between each receiver. I almost don't see any reciever topping 800 yards - even if SSS did it I would be genuinely surprised. Id love for him to prove me wrong though.
  23. extremely well said - we could write a book about this stuff
  24. clearly I didn't misunderstand you- and obviously you must have misunderstood me- bc in no way shape or form did I say that I didn't care about Dennis pitta the human being and that I only cared about him as a player. Not sure how you got that out of what I said bc that couldn't be farther from the truth. It's funny to me that after some of the other things I have read openly disrespecting him as a man you took issue with what I said. Everybody interprets things differently I guess.
  25. Not really - I'm too focused on getting redemption and beating the pulp out of the pats. I see them as public enemy number one now- more so than the steelers. Atleast we have a certain respect for each other both being from the blue collar afc north. When either of us win it's actually earned.
