  1. i dont know if its just me but boyle looks like hes in way better shape than maxx. i also think there is no question that crockett will be our starter. after hearing the presser i think that jernigan is going to explode this year. also saw butler making alot of catches- i knowwww its only OTA's but it just makes you realize how much of a fight its going to be for that last spot. butler, camp, carter, robinson, and worthy all have showed promise. some will throw waller in there but i think he is a lock. the injuries to camp and robinson really hurt their chances but nothing is certain. butler, worthy and carter now have a real shot to shine though. its gonna be a dogfight.
  2. @DEN - W - come out firing on all cylinders, defense has a strong showing and puts a beating on peyton. (34-17) @OAK -W - we get off to a slow start in the first half, but end up getting the victory rather easily. offense starts really clicking in 2nd half. (24-10) CIN -W - tight game thats gets won by a justin tucker feild goal on final drive of the game.( 24-21) @PIT -L - another slow start, we try to fight back but come up short. our d-line finally gives up a 100 yard rusher to bell. (17-10) CLE -W - we beat the breaks off of them and put on a show for the home crowd. this is where the offense begins to catch fire. (42-7) @SF -W - another strong performance from flacco and the offense. kendrick and jimmy get a pair of picks in a poor performace from kaepernick. (31-14) @AZ -L -we get an early lead but start to sleep on them in the 2nd half, palmer gets them the victory in a close one. (28-24) SD -W -another classic slow start, rivers make a run in the 4th quarter and as last year starts to replay in our heads will hill takes an interception to the house for the win. (23-13) JAX -W -we were expected to come in and dominate this game and guess what? thats exactly what we do. (38-13) STL -L - This is one of those games that we just fall apart. nothing is working on offense and despite the defense keeping us in it, it just wont be enough. ( 16-7) @CLE -W -this will be one of those afc north specials. we win this one on the ground with a pair of touchdowns from tali.(17-14) @MIA -W- our vacation to miami. this game really helps us get into a groove and we head back to the bank with confidence. (29-13) SEA -W - a close game, but lynch cant get anything going on the ground. will hill shuts down jimmy graham on a failed 2 pt. conversion and SSS burns richard sherman to put the game away. (28-24) KC -L - a discouraging loss in a back in forth game. kansas city kicks a feild goal to win it in overtime. (37-34) PIT -W - feild goals arent going to win this game, another nail biter but a bomb to perriman wins it. (16-10) @CIN -W - jimmy smith and the defense has a steller performance and the ravens head into the postseason with steam and home feild advantage (26-13) 12-4 ; AFC North Champions, will face the winner of Dallas @ Green Bay in superbowl 50.
  3. i think andrew luck would beg to differ, however im not so sure if he should be ranked as elite yet.
  4. 1) pretending? i dont know about you, but i say what i mean and say what i feel, even if it isnt a popular opinion. 2)im not going to panic either, mainly bc i dont have faith invested in teams other than my own, but if you are going to "pretend" that losing one of their top lineman who protects a 38 year old mannings blind side isnt an issue at all then i think youve got another thing coming. sure they can replace him, but his loss will be felt. you talk as if you are a secret denver fan or somethin, nothing wrong with that, just let it be known. yes yes i know, you are just being "objective". 3) i think Kubiaks days as a successful head coach are long behind him. personally i think he was better off as a O.C, not because i wanted him to stay in baltimore, ( i actually am very pleased with trestman being our new cordinator and also happy that Kubiak landed his dreamjob- no bitterness here) but bc i think after his heart issues it is just alot less stressful. i think it was incredibly stupid of Elway to get rid of John Fox, who not only took them to the superbowl a year before, but has been overall very consistant at winning. i see why they made the move- to try and get them over that last hump- however i dont agree with it. 4)i think the loss of Julius Thomas is also being overlooked, he was an intricate cog in their offense, regardless of the stats.( he caught 12 tds in 2013 and 14'). 5) obviously many people , including elway, are hanging on to the notion that a 38 year old peyton manning will get to go out on top and ride off into the sunset. mainly because it happened with elway. like i already stated, this rarely happens. indy was incredibly bold by replacing manning with luck. they took a huge gamble and it paid off. manning still had a little something left in the tank at the time for one more strong push, but that was years ago. Denver threw everything they had in 2013 and came up short. Indys wise decision showed when luck just eliminated manning from the playoffs. Peyton obviously showed signs of wearing down after week 11, they can say otherwise, but we all know thats why they started running the ball so heavily. their running game is decent, but its not going to carry them to the playoffs. their defense is good too, but not good enough. they will have to rely on mannings arm; And if last year is any sign, it is not going to hold up. never said i was writing them off to have a successful season, i said i dont think they are superbowl contenders, and i definitely dont think they are better than the ravens at this point. obviously there are questions with our offense, no doubt there. we have some young guys that need to prove themselves and be groomed a bit. however i am sure all will be answered very early on. i have no doubt that joe will bring out the best in these guys, not to mention our offensive line is returning intact from last year- which will be the key to not only another strong season from forsett, but to running the entire offense. not only will we be extremely productive, but we are going to top last years numbers- no worries here. denver beating us by 20? lol i think that would be a huge surprise, and simply wont happen. Manning is going to take a beating by Suggs and company. this isnt 2013, Peyton is 2 years older, and Jimmy Smith is healthy and also more experienced. if that makes me an unrealistic ravens fan- then so be it. however i think the majority would disagree.
  5. true but alot of time players come out of the offseason a little rusty- flacco did look pretty crisp; although i am going off a small amount of footage.
  6. he said he was excited to see how they turned out- he never said he presumed they were all going to rock. history does show that there tends to be more misses than hits- but history doesnt always repeat itself. so instead of automatically assuming that there will be more busts than not, how about a little optimism for your team sami84.
  7. i may have to take a little roadtrip this weekend.
  8. 3 articles about age in the span of 24 hours? im glad we decided to get alot younger as a team this year, without really having to rebuild at the same time.
  9. i was happy to see that he got picked up.
  10. nahhhh, not only did they lose one of their big playmakers on offense, theyve already had a few season ending injuries to some key players. And more importantly peyton is on his last leg. The last quarter of last season he looked absolutely horrible, that forced them to try and impliment the run game bc he was so beat up. Didnt work out for them so well. Thats why they were one and done. I thought they were overrated last year and so far they look even worse. 2013 was peytons last shot, they are above average at best but certainly not a contender, atleast not at this point. Alot of ppl are holding on to the hope that peyton will go out on top when in reality it rarely happens that way.
  11. im rooting for him to be our #1.
  12. cant see us risking losing our 6th round pick. You might have those 5 correct but if thats the case then we will hold onto 6 receivers.
  13. 12-4. Win afc north. Playoffs run through the bank. Then off to san fran. Call me a homer all you want- i call it how i see it.
  14. actually i think if it wasnt aiken that caught that ball that theres a good chance we wouldnt have scored on that play. Lets say torrey caught it i could easily have seen him just stepping out of bounds.as we saw later in the game , torrey didnt exactly fight for the ball. Had that been aiken we maybe superbowl champions right now. But on the play in question Kamar had to get by 2 or 3 defenders while straddling the sideline. Pretty clutch play in my book in a big game like that. It may not fall into the "crucial" category, but pretty clutch. Those are 2 categories that i separate. I agree with you on the third down owen Daniels drop. That actually would have been pretty crucial. Pitta catches that ball all day long. Anyway i know all of this is irrelevant to your argument, i was just sayin.
  15. Ahhhhh this is what i like to see !!! With that added muscle hes gonna be a force in the redzone. It seems like him and talioferro arent playing around this year and they are both looking to step up.
  16. interesting to see that indy was not in his top ten. Dallas either. It seems like for once that our roster is so strong on paper that king just couldnt deny it. I have us going 12-4 this year. Absolute worst case scenario would be 10-6 ... But even then we would probably hang on to the division. Its crazy to me that people think denver is a better team than us. I just dont see it- i think they are extremely over rated. New englands secondary is completely decimated- and i dont really see anybody other than indy or maybe pittsburgh even giving us competition in the Afc. We will cut cinci back down to size this year too- they got away with 2 last year by the skin of their teeth- this year we show them who is their daddy.
  17. right off the top of my head I can think of 2 - the td in the playoff game in New England where he fought for the endzone. Any td in a playoff game is pretty clutch. Esp in the divisional vs. New England. But even better than that, the game vs San Diego in the final seconds where he made that diving catch right on the sideline. Had we had one more timeout we would have probably win that game with tucker- and that game was crucial to our playoff run. It's a what if i know- but he has proven he can home through in clutch situations.
  18. believe me man I really want this guy to succeed too , he clearly has so much potential but just can't catch a break. Like harbaugh said- I'm sure nobody's more frustrated about it than camp himself. But what can you do? My hope is like you said , they put him on IR- no way he clears waivers if they put him on the P.S. And how sucky would it be to see a team like New England pick him up and for him to turn into the next big thing? I almost couldn't bear it lol. Let's just hope he makes it back in July healthy and stays that way. Certainly not gonna rule him out- but for this to happen on the first day of OTA's is definitely a bad sign. Harbaugh already expressed his concern in that psi interview and this will no doubt add to it. Everybody in the organization seems to really be high on him though so I really don't see him getting cut.
  19. Yeah- I'm just not gonna be able to help feelin bad for kubiak though. I really liked the guy and thought he fit in so well here. He's gonna have so much more stress on his plate now and if things go awry and they have a losing season things are going to get awkward between him and elway.
  20. ofcourse he would have. I'm pretty sure he turned down several other teams, but he said the Denver offer "changed the game".
  21. I haven't looked at the actual statistics- which I probably should do before chiming in but comparing Aiken and doss is kind of like apples to oranges- they may have had similar production , but doss was supposed to be a starter while Aiken was like 4th or 5th on the depth chart. Like I said I haven't looked at how many times each of them were thrown to- but just going off the eye test it seemed as if Aiken had very minimal oppurtunities yet capatilized on almost all of them- while doss was a constant let down. I'm not sayin in any way that worthy doesn't have a shot or anything like that- I would just be very suprised if a guy like Aiken is cut, even though like you said, anything is possible.
  22. just curious... Why do you think the ravens 14' offense is > than the 15' o? I'm still kind of on the fence but leaning more towards this years.
  23. How many of you noticed in the backround of the meet the rookies video with Maxx Williams when big ole quadzilla walks by shakin his head of broccoli? Cracked me up
  24. doom and the guys are goin to rip Peyton a new 1 week one , givin him a nice sack filled afternoon to start off his farewell season. Elways gonna panic, kubiaks gonna be filled with regret , and manning will have a headache.
  25. and he's an even better coach. I don't really care what type of an athlete he was. Perriman is an excellent athlete and whether he is an excellent nfl player is yet to be seen. So try to reserve some of the judgment. Like I said, things can be fixed , routes can be learned ,and bad habits can be broken. I'm pretty sure you've been wrong quite a bit More than that. Forsett comes to mind off the top of my head .
