  1. i agree with all but the pats- no way the pats are contenders atleast at this point with the way their defense has been decimated. they will most likely make it to the playoffs but be one and done. id replace the pats with a team like dallas or even philly.
  2. im not so sure that schaub is even a lock to make the team. i mean you would think so, but if he doesnt show any signs of improvement and just keeps throwing interceptions he may very well get beat out by rynner or lovelock.
  3. its so crazy how much one draft can change an entire outlook on a season.
  4. i dont think it really matters what other teams are doing- an organization as top notch as ours doesnt care what the "reigning world champions" are doing- we set our own trends for other teams to follow. I also think we all know where you stand MC when it comes to the franchise tag- you have let it be known several times . However i think now with the addition of the new PAT rule, we will try even harder to get a deal done with justin first of all- but we will be even more reluctant to let him go if we cant, so the franchise tag is an even bigger option now. i dont think its likely to come to that though, im sure they will be able to get it done before 2016.
  5. and if anything this is the year we can start changing that. With our first couple draft picks focusing on offense and trestman coming in it looks like our offense has the potential to make significant strides and hopefully reduce the number of games where we just come out dead to a bare minimum. Now I don't necessarily expect everything to magically change in year 1 - these young guys need to be groomed a bit - maxx in particular. But this year will be a start in the right direction. And the good thing is we didn't have to slack off on our defense in order to improve the offense. If anything we improved both. Which is why I give us a real shot at going all the way this year.
  6. i actually am looking forward to more check downs this year when things arent open downfeild, simply bc i think our blocking will be alot better with the tight ends. this is one of buck allens strong suits. and forsett isnt too shabby himself. i love the fact that he feels like he has even MORE to prove this year than last year.
  7. really dont understand why so many ppl see San Fran as a threat. Im not worried about them in the least. it will be fun to watch torrey and boldin go up against our guys- but thats about it. after the 2012 superbowl we will always be san fransiscos daddy. they have been on the decline ever since- and the loss of jim harbaugh is only going to make matters worse. i dont think we will blow them away- but i think we stroll through this game rather easily. i think ppl are looking too much into the west coast trips. yeah it could be a small factor- but not enough to impact the games one way or the other. absolute worst case scenario is 10-6. and as long as we get our ticket to the dance its all she wrote.
  8. just the fact that he is out there running, cutting, and catching passes is a big deal to me. i know theres still alot of time until the season, but thats the thing, if hes doing that much now i have no reason to believe he wont be ready to go come september unless heaven forbid theres a setback. but hes out there slam dunking balls over the goal posts and catching passes from flacco, id say thats huge progress.
  9. this is one of the guys i am most excited about. truly underrated signing. we really needed somebody who can come in and make some splash plays on D, we didnt have nearly enough of those last year. when your defensive line leads the team in interceptions then somethin needs to change.
  10. not sure if he would or not, but i know he definitely hopes both of them stay. after all , alot of his success depends on them.
  11. i dont think it was necessarily a low risk signing at all. Will Hill had alottt of question marks surrounding his character coming out of college. not to mention the suspension. nonetheless, im glad ozzie saw the potential outweighed the risk. he could turn into something really special and has already done well for us.
  12. didnt we just get finished talking about how forsett said he wont be in the nfl forever? im sure money isnt everything to these guys- they have families to take care of not only now but when they are not around anymore. and either way, dont you think all of those questions you just asked have ran through their heads? or maybe they really do only care about money. to each his own, you cant knock a guy for getting paid. we are fans and we have our favorites that we hope will be loyal to the team we love- but in the end this really is their JOB.
  13. we will without a doubt keep 4 unless Pitta suffers a setback or makes a decision to take some more time.
  14. these are all very good points.
  15. Check out the video that just got posted of pitta practicing. Who's counting him out now? I'm sure there's still a few of you hardheads out there.
  16. as i said, theres usually atleast one game a year that we just totally bomb. i think the fact that were home doesnt really matter if we just cant get things going. st louis is one of them sleeper teams that look bad one day and come out the next day and dominate. however, history doesnt always repeat itself, so we may actually beat who we are supposed to beat all year. wouldnt be surprised at all if we beat them rather easily. and just bc we have started out the season poorly on the road in the past doesnt mean this year wont be a first. if we can take out denver week 1, anything can happen. that will set the tone for the entire year. we get past denver- then obviously we would probably get through oakland no problem. then we go to take on the afc north at 2-0...no reason why we cant atleast split those games.
  17. that would set the tone for the entire season. and if we can make it through the first half of the season with atleast 5-6 wins it should be smoothe sailing through week 16. well ...nothings easy... but you know what i mean.
  18. and i'll follow that up with AIKEN, AIKEN, & AIKEN.
  19. the majority of them dispersed after the draft but there are still quite a few fans that think we should. me not being one of them.
  20. i throw carter in there with them. the battle will be between those 3 IMO.
  21. not sure if I misunderstood your post or not- but you say number 1 seed like this is something that the ravens aren't capable of? I know we have a tendency to have to go on the road for the playoffs- but that's gotta change sooner or later. This year is better than any.
  22. i don't know really, it just seems like every year we lose Atleast one game to a team we were "supposed" to beat. Just a hunch that might be this game. Don't get me wrong- I could definitely see a scenario where we win this game and go 13-3 as well. Also- I don't think us starting out 5-2 is far fetched at all. It won't be easy with the west coast trips and what not- but we have the team to do it- and if we get through the first half of the season with Atleast 6 wins I think we will be in an extremely good position to run away with not only the afc north but possibly Atleast the number 2 seed.
  23. Boom baby! My boy Aiken gettin it done .. Never doubted him for a second. Some people are worried about the recieving corps and think we need to add another vet- I wouldn't complain if we did- but I think the money would be better spent elsewhere, particularly a pass rusher .
  24. for his age he has put up impressive numbers, and he did just knock off peyton in the playoffs-although he hasnt won anything substantial yet. i never said he was elite, i said HE would beg to differ However he definitely has the potential to become elite, they didnt get rid of manning for nothing.
