  1. Yeah i also thought Leslie Frazier would probably be taking over at DC somewhere around the middle of the year- but pees has really improved this year. I think he got a bad wrap last year after all the injuries and talent he had to work with.. But he's shown us something this year- although I still don't think we get nearly enough pressure on opposing qbs.
  2. That's a good one. Basically 98% of ppl on this board completely wrote pitta off. I was one of the few that thought he could pull it off- but even I admit I had my doubts. Seriously- how many people said he was better off hanging up his cleats? And now he's leading the team in receptions. Not the pitta of old- but considering the circumstances he's done a heck of a job. Lol Can't block a lick but still got them hands. I could see Weddle but Mosley and jimmy? Mosley started off pretty hot but has tapered off- and jimmy is effective but doesn't put up much stats at all. I get stats aren't everything , but Orr literally is all over the feild and leading the team in tackles is pretty huge. Also I expect solid play from jimmy and mosley- but orr was a complete surprise... However I see you were discussing MVP...and to me that means if taken out of the lineup which one would effect us the most... In that case I agree its probably jimmy or weddle. Hard to decide between the two- we've seen first hand how we perform without jimmy - and its not good- but weddle has been there the entire season- which is a value in itself. So id give the nod to Weddle- who's stats also far outweigh Jimmy's. Yeah I didn't expect this much out of suggs this year. He's not putting up crazy numbers or double digit sacks ( atleast not yet) ..but his impact has been huge. Not only his leadership role, but helping others make plays and setting the edge.. As well as batting balls down..etc. All with a torn bicep. It really shouldn't be a surprise coming from sizzle.. But him getting up there in age and coming off last years injury as well I think make it one. Judon has also been a pleasant surprise and has helped absorb the disappointment of KC. He atleast brought us some young pass rush. I think suggs has helped him along very well. My biggest disappointment has to be zadarius smith. Had high hopes for him to have a breakout sophomore year and he has just failed in all aspects. He has been a non factor all year and showed ZERO signs of improvement. Hester was a disappointment as well..but I knew he was over the hill and way past his prime..I thought Z Would be just reaching his, and he was just a big let down. Doom also has been somewhat of a disappointment. Def saw a drop off in production coming...but I don't think anybody expected him to miss the amount of time he did. Anyway I think these will be the last few games we see doom in a ravens uni for sure. Hopefully its more than just 2... 6 sounds about right!
  3. Coming from the guy who said we'd win no more than 6 games. I usually take your opinions with a real grain of salt, but when you throw out so much random nonsense your bound to hit on something sooner or later right? And the cinci game is very relevant if buffalo beats Miami Saturday, so yeah wrong again.
  4. Fortunately thats not our only path.
  5. Yep, if buffalo takes care of business I think we have a definite backup route to punch our ticket to the dance. Its a shame that the jets couldn't do us a favor, and even more of a shame that the cardinals came back and tied them and got the ball with a minute left and still lost. Lets just hope Rex and company fight their tails off. He is trying to keep a job. Need a big game from shady and tyrod. Be our luck if they lost to the bills and somehow beat the pats lol. Who does Oakland play this week? If they win the pats will be fighting for the number #1 seed week 17...even though I think they'd win regardless. But all of this still means nothing if we don't win atleast one. And we're still shooting for the division anyway. Can't lie I'd feel much better knowing there's an alternate route though. I also would've felt much better if freakin cinci held on last week making this game a true "win and your in" for us. May the best team win.
  6. No question. I think its partially BC his technique makes it look like there's contact when there's not. He uses that second hand a lot on the opponents back and goes in for the swat- but its not like he's pushing or holding the guy- he's just placing his hand there and in real time it looks like contact when its really not. All depends on the referees viewpoint.
  7. Well somebody's not in the Christmas spirit. Maybe you should be like Steve and learn a lesson from thumper off Bambi.
  8. I agree- we've got to eliminate atleast ONE of them. Preferably Bell. AB will get his regardless and make a big play or two- but if we allow Bell to run all over us and control the clock we're done. And If bell goes off then likely AB does too- which would give us virtually no chance. So yeah- shut down Bell and we've got a decent chance. Not to mention they will have DWilliams back as well who is no slouch - so we will have our hands full. 4 quarters of disciplined football- and if we fall behind by more than 10 points its possible but I'm afraid we won't be able to get back up and rebound from that. Getting the early jump on them is key- as we did last time we faced them.
  9. Would absolutely love nothing more than to have jimmy back for this game- but we CAN win without him. Shareece has taken a lot of flack and his play is def streaky at best- but I've got faith he will get the job done for his boy on Sunday. Infact I think he might make a game changing play.
  10. Wasn't trying to trip him, was just trying to get Jacoby off course and to distract him just enough to get him tackled... Which is exactly what happened. Tomlin is a witty dude- he knew exactly what he was doing and knew the play was coming right his way. Anybody that buys his excuse is in denial. Had JJ stayed straight up the sideline he wasn't getting caught, but he had to shift a step to the right giving the tackler just enough time to grab him. Not like it mattered anyway- we still took the W and got to watch JJ and tuck chow down on some chicken. This game will come down to who makes the fewest mistakes. ( like most games do) whoever wins the turnover battle will get the W. Ben hasn't been at his best as of late and bell has been bailing him out. He will also likely be without Green. We just cannot allow them to get multiple splash plays to AB or its game over. If jimmy can play it will be a Christmas imiracle, but we can win without him. IMO if Miami wins on saturday- jimmy will do everything in his power to play- BC we will know going in that its truly do or die. If Miami loses- we know that we got a good chance at the wildcard and a tough matchup with AJ green likely back in the lineup follows- so we will play it safe and save him for that. We have to spread the ball around and not try to force it to Steve or Wallace. Get Aiken, perriman and waller involved. Then we can start to hit some big plays with Wallace hopefully on some slant routes ( although im sure they will be waiting for that) and flacco can move the chains with his safety blanket pitta. One play we need to try in the redzone is a fake end around to Wallace or camp- and a toss to Dixon the other way with crock or Boyle as the lead blocker. I can see them biting on the reverse easily...esp since we hit them with it last year and scored a TD with campanaro-he pulled it off last week - and they will have to respect Wallace's speed if to him. Just a thought. Our dB's need to GO AFTER THE BALL. Drives me crazy when corners don't turn around and look for the ball- so many times I've seen easy would be interceptions turn into completions simply BC they don't turn their head. If we can score on defense even once i think we win this game. I smell a pick 6 to either weddle or tavon. Weddles got a chip on his shoulder for being snubbed. We also need to hit Ben HARD. I wanna see suggs or jernigan rock his world and see blood and guts on the feild. Expect flacco to hit that 4k mark and tucker will break the all time record for most 50 yarders in a season with a 52 yarder right before half. I dont have a good feelin but i cant bet on my team losing. Sorry cant do it. 31-29 Ravens. Let's go fellas.
  11. And like its been said several times...you can still run the ball and score a TD..Infact I think that was our best chance at putting up 7- just running it down their throat 3 straight times. Maybe a fake reverse to Wallace and another toss to dixon in the opposite direction..they would've likely bit on that. But yeah I don't care how much a sack lowers the odds of putting up 7...I like my odds MUCH more of taking 2 minutes off the clock and going up by 13..forcing them to score 2 TDs in a little over 3 minutes. And that's still not saying we couldn't have punched in a TD after taking a sack either, whether its 2nd and 17 or not.. Anyway this Convo has obviously run its course.
  12. If he's able to play he will. He realizes this is do or die so he will do everything he can to be out there. If he's not- then he's probably a ways away. UNLESS Miami loses Saturday night and we decide to play it safe. Thats one advantage of having this game on Xmas as opposed to Saturday. Ofcourse we'll be shooting for the division but we've got to play it safe- and if Miami loses Saturday a wildcard is a really strong possibility. I THINK if he was for sure out until atleast the playoffs they would just say so...but with harbaugh who the heck knows. I think if he practices at all this week even in a limited fashion he will have a 75% chance of suiting up. I know its on my xmas list..But I doubt he practices...
  13. Having the most attempts in the league sure helps. He also has arguably more weapons than he's ever had. Still nice to finally break that 4k barrier that's eluded him for quite some time. It should happen on Christmas barring any unforeseen injury. I'd like to see him get to atleast 23 TDs too...
  14. Pretty sure the Bengals don't like us either rum. They ain't lettin up.
  15. Alright cool, thought so. Go ravens and go bills.
  16. Right- that's what I figured but didn't know if i was missing something or what. Either way though why would they state both of them had to lose 1 if one of them will win the division which has no bearing on the wildcard? I'm guessing just a straight up mistake or typo.
  17. The wildcard is what I'm confused about. The LFW article the other day stated we also needed Houston and Tennessee to BOTH finish 1-1? confused me BC 1 of them will win the division and they play each other week 17 which is a guaranteed loss. Were they wrong or am I missing something?
  18. I'd feel much better if the fins lose...but then again then our guys might have that in the back of their heads and it wont be truly do or die. Something that puzzled me... I noticed on the lfw article that in order for a wild card berth we need both Houston and Tennessee to finish 1-1? Why is this? 1 of them will win the division which doesn't effect us...and they play each other week 17 which is a guaranteed loss for 1 of them. I'm aware the fins have to lose 2 and Denver has to lose 1. Could someone clear this up for me?
  19. Lol I'm thinking the same thing dude. Don't want my bad mood to damper my family's Xmas if we don't get the job done. On the other hand if they win I'll be the most jolly ole fella you'll ever be around. Tough call. Honestly I don't have a good feeling- but then again I haven't had a good feeling for awhile now..
  20. Not sure but thats a heck of a feat if so- to go 4 years in the league with only 1 block? Point taken.
  21. Making the eagles use a timeout would've been a good thing as well obviously. If that had happened and the same thing played out except weddle makes that tackle on Wentz with 4 seconds left then its game over. This all ties into clock management- which is something we have struggled with for quite some time now.
  22. Lol it sure is. I can understand Hester losing some of his explosiveness but what I can't for the life of me figure out is why a veteran of his caliber looked so indecisive and had so much trouble just fielding a punt? He looked like a rookie out there...injuries don't explain that. Rosberg can take the blame all he wants but it didn't have anything to do with coaching or blocking either. He simply looked nervous every single time he caught the ball. Just strange.
  23. I wonder if there's any chance of that happening? I haven't heard zilch. Please say it ain't so...camp we can afford to lose...but no suggs against Pittsburgh would just be a back breaker. I can't imagine him not playing unless HIS back was literally broken. That rivalry just don't feel right without him and would really damper the matchup. Its crazy we have to finish 6-0 against the north in order to win it. I just hope my Xmas isn't ruined. And I really hope Miami loses so there's atleast hope and something to play for week 17..
  24. I don't see why not? I'd much rather have flacco take a sack than throw the ball away IN THAT SITUATION. We're iin feild goal range regardless- and 40 seconds could've been the difference in victory and defeat- as we've seen ( and just saw ) countless times. And you act like he'd be getting bulldozed from the blind side ..he could have basically just sat down in that situation and it would've been smarter as it would've taken atleast 30 seconds off the clock ( or cost them a timeout, though it was a little early for that)
  25. How did he look fielding punts? I didn't see the game and only saw the end around scamper on offense.. Was he on any KR duty or was it just Chris Moore?
