  1. Not to mention how easy our path to the AFCG wouldve been had we beat Pittsburgh and ended up the #3 seed. 1) Miami at home 2) Oakland ...both without starting qbs. That would've almost guaranteed us a chance against new England or KC for a trip to Houston. Makes me sick. Now Pittsburgh has that path. We were so close. Just wasn't meant to be.
  2. Anything Raven related- what has been your biggest surprise of the year? The outcome of our draft? Justin Tucker being nearly perfect? ( not a surprise for me ) The release of Forsett? The defense being top 5 in numerous categories? Wallace or weddle? Flacco leading the league in pass attempts? The lack of snaps for Buck Allen or Correa? For me it HAS to be the play of Zach Orr. Out of nowhere this UDFA is leading our team in tackles and making plays all over the place. He's just like a pitbull and has a nose for the ball with a relentless motor. Tavon is a close second, but Orr has surprised the heck out of me. What say you?
  3. Talk steve into 1 more year. BP WILL step up and become a true #1.
  4. Say it ain't so man. I truly look up to this man and he inspires me everyday. Respect your decision either way- but I hope that 11% starts talking to you this off season. Your boys need you out there- and I'd love nothing more than for you to hit 15k yards and shove it up Rodney Harrison's tail. Onnnnne morrrre yeeeear.
  5. That's nothing kid, I threw our Christmas tree through the flat screen...then threw the flat screen off the back deck.
  6. Our path would have been 1) Miami at home ( without starting qb) and 2) Oakland on the road ( without starting qb) ..almost a guaranteed path to AFCG...then anything could've happened. Really stings. Would've gotten jimmy back too.
  7. Yep, and we could have pinned them inside the 15 or better yet forced a fumble and ended it right there. We just always play it safe too much and it always comes back to bite us. What hurts is knowing that if Mosley doesnt fall down, AB likely gets tackled inside the 2 and times expires- but what hurts the most is what our path through the playoffs would have been had we been the number 3 seed. 1) Miami at home ( whom we destroyed ...also playing with backup qb...2) at oakland....whom we came 5 yards from beating who is now also playing with a backup qb which leaves them screwed. We almost had a guaranteed path to the AFCG...and we all know we're more than capable of taking care of business once we get in. That really stings. We also likely missed the wildcard on a 40 yard FG miss by Dan Carpenter ( and a 55 yard make by the dolphin kicker) ...just couldn't catch the one break we needed. We came up a couple feet short almost a dozen times this year. That's really becoming our "thing" . almost doesn't cut it.
  8. And what if he takes a significant pay cut? Is he worth keeping for his veteran presence and connection with Joe in that case? Yep, doom is as good as gone..and I've got no problem with it. He's been on the steady decline and I expect next year to be a major dropoff. Paycuts for pitta, Webb. Resign Wagner, guy, juice. 2nd round Tender for Orr. Cut doom, arrington, KLewis, possibly ZSmith ( or hope he had a sophmore slump) Let Bwill walk. Bring back Wallace and take a chance with him and Perriman being your number 1 and 2 while bringing in a serviceable FA such as Garcon...but rely more on the Running game. Bring in a veteran Center. Draft priorities: PASS RUSH PASS RUSH PASS RUSH, CB, BPA All very doable and would easily get us back into contention.
  9. Yep, I think that 4th quarter meltdown was 75% his fault. We tried so hard to prevent the big deep splash play that we were scared to be aggressive and just go after them. Giving the receivers 7 yard cushions? guys like AB and Ben will eat that up all day long. One tipped ball or interception on that last drive and we'd be in the driver seat right now talking about who was going to come to the bank as the wildcard. Instead we have to talk about next year and watch the Steelers carry on BC we played to not lose instead of playing to win, a reoccuring theme this year.
  10. Hard to get excited about a game with 2 teams out of contention...but I for one am excited to see the youngsters get more snaps. Let's see what they can do. Not to mention this may be the last time we get to see SSS take the feild. Hope he balls out like kobe did in his finale.
  11. The players seemed to come around on Dean throughout the year-esp sizzle. They all praised him pretty often. Not sure if they feel the same though after the way the season ended.
  12. Do we give pees the benefit of the doubt since the defense was great all year minus the last 1/4 of the season and give him another year to keep up the continuity-or Promote Leslie Frazier to DC? or bring in some new blood all together? I don't think many believe In Marty for OC but do we really Want ANOTHER change and if so what are the top options? Norv Turner maybe?
  13. Yep, we need to let perriman get a ton of targets and give Dixon atleast 20 carries. Let judon and Peirce play the majority of the game and let mallet play the second half to see if he's worth bringing back next year. I don't know if its just me but I have really liked mallets attitude this year. He has seemed to completely change. No longer seems selfish and was all about the team...I saw him cheering guys on after every play. Just an observation.
  14. Dixon will be the bell cow work horse and west will be the goal line short yardage bulldozer. Dixon Is the real deal fellas. Did you see how many Steelers it took to even slow him down? And he still kept pushing the pile and never went down. He did that like 4 times Sunday. If he would've started the season healthy he'd be even farther along. Can't wait till next year. Bolster the center position and resign Wagner and we're sitting pretty with Stanley, Lewis, ( ? ) Yanda and Wagner. We could take a page out the cowboys book, and if perriman takes the next step the skys the limit. Trying not to sip the purple sizzurp but can't help but look forward to next year.
  15. I hear you bro..I haven't done any of my weekly routine watching mike and mike, any other games...any Pressers...this taste in my mouth just won't go away. I feel so bad for juice. He thought he was the hero and then gets let down by the D...such a shame.
  16. You just said it all...nobody ever steps up for flacco.. He takes all the flack..even when he puts us in position to win even after there were a few dropped potential tds that Joe put right on the money. You see all these other receivers in the league getting all this YAC and making one hand catches. So frustrating.
  17. I didn't see a goodbye? And there Is one more game left in the season... Not saying he won't but who knows what he will decide to do. Maybe he'll want to shove in Rodney Harrison's face that he can still ball at 38...and possibly try to go for 15k yds...some might say its best for him to go...I'm not one of those people. We can let Wallace and perriman be the #1 and #2 and he can strictly be a third down WR to keep him fresh.
  18. The offense? Flacco sucked this game? Are y'all sure we are taking about the same game? 12/25/16 ?
  19. Alright - so after rewatching game minus all the emotion so I could be a little more objective these are my thoughts: GOOD FLACCO- anybody that says this loss is on flacco is out of their damn mind. This man played 4 quarters of nearly mistake free football. He had several passes dropped- including two potential TDs( although the waller drop was a pretty good play be the defender) but he played his butt off and his team let him down. Several receivers failed to make plays- and he still managed to give us the lead twice. He led a METHODICAL drive in a hostile environment with the division on the line - milked about 6 minutes of clock and then gave us the lead once again only for the defense to give it up. Joe came through in the clutch when it counted- and had we taken about 30 more seconds off the clock we probably would be celebrating right now- and at worse it would've went into OT. JUICE- what can you say about this guy? He proved why he was selected to the probowl last night. He played well all game - but that last drive was pretty much ALL him and Joe. He picked up block after block, caught a few key catches- and then punched in the potential game winner with sheer will. He bull dozed his guy and was not going to be denied. In hindsight we can wish he would've fallen down inside the 3 so we could milk an additional 30-45 seconds...but with the way we struggle to find the endzone sometimes he did what he had to do..and there's no reason we shouldn't be able to rely on our D right there to atleast hold them to a FG.. Juice should be the hero right now- and I'm extremely dissapointed for him that he didn't get to be. STEVE SR. - he knew this was his last shot at the postseason and he gave it everything he had. He showed these Horses reares that at 37 - YES he can still play. Crucial diving TD catch and crucial 2 pt conversion. Im more upset for him than anybody - he didn't deserve to go out like this- but not everybody can ride off into the sunset with a ring...but regardless he damn sure went out giving every inch of his body and soul. I pray that he gives it one more year- but I could see it on his face as he walked off the feild that this was it. True Raven foir life. DIXON- Several key first downs...didn't get the ball a whole lot but he seems to make something out of nothing every time he touches it. He is a beast and just refused to go down. Numerous times it took about 5 Pitt. Defenders to slow him dowm- and he still wouldn't go down and kept moving the pile. This guy is someone to be excited about ..and he is for sure our future work horse. PITTA- had a few balls that could've been reeled in and been huge but they were very tough catches. Other than that he overall played a very solid game and converted some key first downs. CAMP- another big play on offense- and played smart mistake free football on punt return duty. Nothing special but he did what he had to do and didn't put us in any bad situations out there. He made Hester look like a rookie.. And its a shame we couldn't have camp out there all year...he might have helped us get another win or two as feild position is EVERYTHING. ORR & MOSLEY- what a dynamic duo. These guys are going to wreak havoc next year. Two crucial key interceptions that could have very well been the difference. In a lackluster performance by the defense- these two stood out for obvious reasons. Orr should be in the pro bowl - but again we've got something to look forward to with these two. OFFENSIVE LINE- I thought this was gonna be trouble early on- but they stepped it up and kept Joe pretty clean for the most part. He had more time to throw than usual..not sure why we didn't take any deep shots. When Wagner went out and Hurst came in I thought we were certainly done- but surprisingly they held up. Not sure how Stanley did individually but I didn't hear Harrison's name much so I assume he did much better than last time he faced him. TUCKER- nothing to say here. Mr. Automatic. BAD Cox- uncharacteristic bad snap on feild goal attempt. The wolfpack has been nearly perfect but it figures the one time they mess up is with the division on the line. Koch could've still maybe gotten it down but it def wasnt his fault- cold slick ball. D-line- no pressure whatsoever- gave Ben all day to throw and that's a recipe for disaster. Bell also just punched it down their throat. After that first drive I thought we were in real trouble- but they settled down a bit. But ultimately they got beat and exposed once again just like in philly. Poor tackling . bell is on another level but after holding him to 32 yards previously ii thought we could maybe do it again. Thought wrong. PEES- horrible game plan. I don't know what it was- but esp in the 4th quarter its like as soon as we get the lead we start playing conservative and scared. Its like we're trying so hard to prevent the big splash play that we just give them all the cushion in the world and let them dink and dunk all over us. Bell and brown juked our defenders out of their cleats several times, and if we wouldbe wrapped brown up on that last play and not let him stick that arm out- I'm not so sure they would've gotten another play off. Could've been game over. Instead brown beats 3 or 4 of our defenders and one foot ends up being the difference. It truly is a game of inches. the secondary didn't play horribly considering- esp w/o jimmy. But like I said it was pees soft play calling that lost us the game. I don't know the play calls so I can't say this with certainty- that's just what my gut and eye test tell me. Wallace- thought he would show up in this game and look to destroy his old team- but this time he was nowhere to be found. Don't think he made one significant play. Oh well. He's done a lot this year- just not when we needed it the most. zuttah- once again we get a big run by Dixon and have a potential first down inside the 8 and it gets negated by a holding penalty. I think we ended up having to resort to a FG that drive...might've been the one that was blocked...so again- one play could've been the difference. Yeah it happens- I'm just sick of this dude. I think we will be looking for another center next year. Refs- not too much to complain about except one call. They get us for a hit on a defensless receiver-- then a nearly identical play happens to perriman and whatdoyaknow? No call. Didn't make a difference though- and perriman came right back on the very next play and caught a crucial first down. Gutsy call but good play by the young kid to bounce back like that. MOORE- was he even active? What a disappointment. Really expected him to make an impact on offense this year and he just hasn't done anything. Hopefully he bounces back next year. UGLY defense allowing 21 points in the fourth quarter and giving the game away. That's about it. CLASSIC ravens steelers. Just a shame we came out on the wrong end. I predicted the score exactly right just had us winning lol. Gonna take a long while to get over this one- and made me sick to watch them celebrate on their home field. Didn't let it ruin my xmas tho. And boy if we didn't give them a good scare.we had them Steeler fans pissin in their pants. Just wish we could've milked another 45 seconds. Chin up ravens nation. Weve got alot to be excited about for next year- and this has been a huge improvement from last year any way you look at it. Need a few more pass rushers , another slot cb and a new center ( and WR depending on what Steve does) and we will have a very scary team. Dixon is gonna be huge guys. We need to bolster our line. Really a Lack of pass rush was our only missing ingredient and ended up being our downfall. Doom is done and suggs has got 1 year left. Lotta young talent to be excited about. Anyway- we fought our tails off and literally came up an inch short. It happens. But we'll be back. Hoping Steve sr. Gives us 1 more year but regardless the flock will come back stronger than ever and I have no doubt that next year is our time.
  20. Sick to my stomach right now. Two chances to seal the game and they fail. We can't even catch a break on our damn day off. The roller coaster of emotions this season has put me through just aint healthy... Even when we ain't playin! Smh Carpenter. Why couldn't we let them borrow Tucker for the day?
  21. I really hate Buffalo. Rex is probably dun-dotta w / the bills. You get two chances to seal the game and you can't do it. smh I'm just at a loss for words.
  22. That's the spirit! Let me get some of that positive energy over this way...
  23. Yep- only one way in now ( thanks Carpenter) and its through our 2 biggest foes at their house. No easy task. I will certainly be surprised if we pull it off ( esp w/o jimmy) but I will never rule out my team. Go Ravens. May the best team win. In other news- the Browns are no longer winless! Maybe they can keep some of that momentum goin into week 17 lol! Which will still be meaningless if we don't take care of business tommorow.
  24. Unfreakinbelievable. Can't even catch a break when we're not playing. For them to be losing all game and take the lead with a minute left only to give up a 55 yarder ( Rex waited too long to ice him) to take it to OT...then to get ANOTHER chance with a chip shot feild goal and miss. freaking figures. Only one way in now. Really sucks to not have an alternate route but I guess if we dont win we don't deserve to be in anyway. Just really gonna piss me off if miami gets in over us knowing how much better we are. Esp knowing how we tend to get hot in the playoffs. Nobodys fault but our own I guess. We can still do this- just gotta be the hard way. When is it ever NOT that way for the ravens?
  25. That's a pretty bold statement my man. I find it hard to believe you really think that..but if they won a second Superbowl this year then they are very good at what they do and theyd never get rid of either of them anytime soon anyway. would be literally the dumbest thing we could ever do- so thank god your not callin the shots.
