Now Ozzie can we get Zach Brown and Mangold?, if we can sign those 2, I'm ready for the Draft
I was half way ok when it was Claiborne but this is just silly.Brandon Marshall wouldve given us WAY more bang for our buck with that 5 mill a year.Marshall,Wallace,Perriman and Pitta wouldve won alot more games for us than Jimmy Smith,Carr,Weddle and Jefferson will.We had the 17th ranked offense in yards per game and 21st ranked offense in scoring WITH Wagner and Smitty. Why is the front office piling all of our resources into one side of the ball????
Cause when we had our winning ways, its all about Defense & It starts with that!
Trade No. 16 to Houston (they need a QB) we get no. 25 and No 89 in the 3rd,
That will give us 79,89, and 99 in the 3rd rnd, we draft Hasaan Reddick at number 25... we use one of the third rounders to draft Sid Jones and let him recover for this year....
Mike Mayock jr lol
Carr is a solid pick up. Hope he can return to form but at worst he is a solid player with a lot of experience He will add depth and time for whatever CB we draft to develop at his own pace. With Jimmy being injury prone... Carr's experience can go a long way. Like Ozzie said.... this makes us better but I would have rather had Claiborne. Either way.... it does make us deeper and better and I feel at worst, like Carr is a legit upgrade over Sharece Wright and at best, a signing that has potential to be great...
Ill take it!Carr is a better CB than Claiborne, no matter how you compare the two. Carr is bigger, far less injury-prone, and has put up better numbers throughout his career. Good pickup. Glad to see the Ravens are going back to focusing what has always been the team's strength- Defense. We've got a good secondary now, Williams is the anchor on the line and Mosley is gold for our LB corps. We get a quality pass rusher, either through the draft or elsewhere, and this defense has all the tools to be great.
Spot on Bro!
Trade Flacco to Denver and go after Romo, this will open up our Cap for years to come and not stuck with a average QB for 8 years.
There is no need to sign any FA this year. There team is in good shape overall. Some players will move on, same as every year and every team, some will stay. They will bolster the roster with talent and fill in many of the glaring needs of the past few seasons. Also having you starting QB in good health and some of the veteran players such a Dumervil in good health only makes the team more dangerous.
Marshall would be a nice thought. At 33 and 6 mil/year that is just too steep to miss on and who knows how long he has left til the age starts catching up. I would much rather the Ravens allow their young WR to grow and play. Trial by fire. They will not develop if they are never given ample opportunity.
Next year figures to be a good year for comp picks, 2-3 potentially (two 3rd's & 4th)
So i guess u hoping for another 8-8 season
So much for Brandon Marshall wearing the purple and black....
I was hoping we sign him, on to Garcon but i believe he is going to the 49ers
now cut webb and Doom
Can someone explain me, why the obvious salary cap casualties still remaining with the team?????... confusing
Harbaugh Will never bring Ed Reed
we can't win unless flacco plays better an we need to run the ball more but that being said if the ravens drafted a RB in the first round that might force these "coaches" to run the ball. but I personally think it would be a mistake to draft a RB in the first round But as far as mike wallace goes ask him to take a pay cut or get rid of him he's good but not worth 8 mill. Then the TE situation I say cut both Pitta and watson saves money an we have some good young talent at TE to replace them. The biggest need is at CB and there is plenty of talented DBs in this draft so I would love to see us load up an get 3-5 DB 2-3 CB 1-2 Safeties but unfortunately we might draft just 2 like last year. As far as pass rush goes I think we have some good talent with Judon and smith but if we don't have a secondary to cover for more than 3 seconds how are you supposed to get any kind of pass rush going so that being said solidify the secondary then worry about the pass rush
Agree, Patriots don't have a great pass rush but their secondary makes them look like they got pass rush
Most boring championship Sunday of all time. Blowouts don't belong in conference championship games, period.
best news of the day
Just renegotiate Joe's contract!
How many times?
My offseason Wishlist
CB - Dre Kirkpatrick/ S.Gillmore
Pass rush -via draft
WR- P.Garcon / A.Jeffries
OL- T.J Lang
first off we need to get rid of Joe Flacco for saying that, Flacco only good at being a family man. He does not care if we win or loose, you can see that from his body language. I don't blame him I blame the FO for giving him that big contract and now we have to deal with it like the NO Saints.
John seems to make injury status a very high priority and injuries a mystery. News Flash, Nobody is afraid of this Ravens team anymore and the Offense & Defense is predictable. Ravens lost by 8 points to a 4-11 Team. So who are you protecting the Fantasy Sports, Bookies? This is just strange because Brian B never did that.
Perhaps true; however, Dumervil's injury was kept secret by Dumervil, not Harbaugh.
So what Elvis say to John. " Coach, I have an issue and will be back in week 12" Seriously, I think the Ravens PR people are up to this, but why.? My NFC team I get flooded with football News & Information but the Ravens act like fans are fourth string for lack of better terms.
LOL, cant stop laughing

Agree, time to cut Dumerville and save 6mil in cap
Harbaugh so arrogant, just rest Flacco and the other starters. Who cares you finish 9-7 or 8-8, by loosing we get a better player.
If we cut Elvis Dumervile and Kyle Arrington, our Cap space for next year will be around 28 Mil. Hopefully thats more than enough to bring some talent to Baltimore ex Ashlon Jeff, Dre Kirkpatrick or Jamie Collins.
Dean pees must let go man, i cant stand this "PLAYING SCARED" defence
To be honest, I'm happy williams or jerrigan not selected to probowl, otherwise their market next offseason would be too high
"The Ravens could win a wild-card spot … by finishing 1-1 AND the Dolphins losing out AND the Texans, Broncos and Titans finishing 1-1. A single win by the Dolphins would prevent a wild-card spot for Baltimore."
This should read Texans OR Titans finishing at 1-1 (which is all but guaranteed because they play each other in Week 17) If one of the teams wins both games, they are 10-6, but would win the division. Ravens have tiebreak over all AFC playoff contenders. So, the only way Texans and Titans get in over Ravens if Ravens finish 9-7 is if both Houston and Tennessee win in Week 16 and Houston-Tennessee TIE in Week 17.
-So, in reality, we need to losses by Dolphins (@ Bills, vs. Patriots) --It would help if Raiders beat the Colts next week, so then the Patriots would have to win WEek 17 to ensure home field advantage. If Raiders lose to Colts, Patriots might rest their starters. Also, another thing that bears watching (also involving the Raiders) If Patriots win out--Raiders might rest starters in Week 17 vs. Broncos (Patriots play at 1:00, Raiders play at 4:00 in week 17) So--the best bet for a Broncos loss may be Week 16 at KC.
---LOTS of Ifs and things that would have to go right to get wildcard--hopefully the Ravens take care of business @ Pitt and @ Cincy!
Wildcard scenario is so confusing man, lets beat steelers & cincy
If Jimmy Smith does not play against steelers or CIncy, we have no chance

If we could land Richard Sherman, man our secondary will be fun to watch!!!
