Ray said this to bring attention to Ray! I loved Lewis as a player and he does great things for the community. However, he is HORRIBLE as an analyst and just wants to bring attention to himself. Just because Joe doesn't have his leadership style does not mean he is not a leader. Ray-Do us all a favor and use your passion to help out the community and leave Flacco alone! If he (or anyone else for that matter) want to criticize Flacco's play--Fine--He deserves that because we all know Flacco has not played well this year.--But don't question his leadership--That leadership helped bring you a 2nd title!
Of course Joe helped Ray get a 2nd title, but Ray helped Joe get his 1st title. Dont ever forget that. Ray doesn't need the attention. Joe has always lacked leadership. Ray is not asking Joe to be rah rah, he is asking Joe to sit next to his guys and chat, talk, converse, "this is what we did right/wrong, this is how we are gonna fix it, next drive we should try to exploit this weakness..." the way a Payton Manning or any other non-rah rah but still a great leader would gather his troops. Joe is a one man show on the sideline. If Joe could he would be watching TV on an iPad on the sideline while the D is on the field. For someone making $120M to play a TEAM sport, totally unacceptable!
