  1. OK. So it's vacation week for the Raven's staff. Here's my unentitled and unsolicited 2 cents. Next year, when the staff knows vacations will be coming, maybe store up a few more articles, perhaps include some of a slightly different focus to fill out the week? All articles don't have to be current news. No need to bother to attempt to create a new spin on a similar existing story. Months or weeks ahead, why not save up a few special interest kind of stories and have them spread across the week while you taking well deserved vacations? Perhaps look in to the life of 1 of the players, their charities or explore their journey of ups and downs on the way to the NFL? Or write about what 1 of our former popular players is doing with their life post football. Consider it a compliment if website fans want the same amount of quality stories to continue even if the staff is on vacation. Take off, party on, chill out, enjoy the beach or whatever. Get a break from work and have a blast. But some of us fans really look forward to our daily dose of the website and enjoy the fan opinions and banter evoked from the articles. Just offering a few thoughts to get through vacation week to keep website fans just as engaged. In general, thanks to the writing staff for your efforts all year long to keep us informed and to give us something to chat about. Have fun this week.

Thanks Salamander! Couldnt have said it better myself! Enjoy the vacations, every one needs one!

  2. It makes you think i was aprihensive of ozzie's signing pitta to a long term deal especially with him now be 29 as opposed to ed dickson only 27 and has been playing well if not better than pitta since being with carolina and no signs of his thigh injury he had when he was here in baltimore. and it makes me worry that as much as i hope pitta is ok for a te of his age i really hope that he takes it slow because another hip injury by age 30 it really could be permanate

You cant compare Dennis to Ed at this point.  Ed had hands like a dolphin, if a change of scenery has somewhat rejuvenated him and he is catching a little bit more does not mean he would have had the same results here in Baltimore.  I think it was a sign of good faith to sign Pitta to the long term deal.  He outplayed his rookie contract, helped us win a 2nd Super Bowl and I am glad that even at his age, the Ravens had enough respect and belief in Pitta to give him at least that first contract so if nothing else, he and his family have a nice nest egg from his NFL career.  Albeit short, a successful one.

  3. Here's a conspiracy theory for everyone - the NFL needs to generate news/headlines after the draft until training camp begins - last year was the RR scandal and this season Deflate gate punishment. (I don't really believe this, just think it's funny/coincidental & Shady and the Deflatriots are guilty btw) Good way to generate some off season ratings though....
