Upshaw is either: *not producing sacks *not good in coverage *fat and out of shape after the offseason Its really too bad that arthur brown isnt picking this defense up and doesnt look to be progressing much either. Id say that Upshaws position for the most part is up for grabs at this point in his career. Being frank, i think he is a huge weak spot in the LB trio and if we had one more stud that had blitz capabilities then we would be very scary. he makes the crew above avg at best when they could be great. Smith may have another 1-2y tops as a top lb. this will need to be addressed sooner then later for sure. isnt there anyone on the up and coming within the roster? Upshaw is just a non factor with 1 or 2 good bigtime plays that i can recall

If anyone in Raven Nation is not completely ecstatic about this news then check your pulse. Arrington certainly is a fantastic/quality add to the backfield. Hes seasoned, physical, healthy, and most of all, high quality at the position. People (particularly the NFL commentators and pundits) really needed to shut up about how the Ravens didn't go DB in the early draft. Ozzie had a plan (which may not have been Arrington exactly)as always...Backfield depth was one of them. Smart Quality addition here folks, and one to be excited about. should provide the back end the kind of security to keep Elam at his native position and to play to his strengths and progress too. This pick could change the complexion of the whole defense to blossom. Looking Fwd to '2015 football

DeAndre Carter should be the PR/KR. Camp i would keep healthy. He is a sneaky little devil with good hands. I see a Welker/Amendola esque style WR and someone that is hard to account for when Perriman, Smith, Akon are making noise. would hate to see another stroke of bad luck hit Campanaro on KR again too. Kid has spectacular talent as a WR and id like to see more of that as i see that being a bigger value for the team. Carter is a sure shot and can really do the type of damage we need as PR/KR imo

Id be more upset that we stacked that position early with likely a 3rd or 4th Cb, instead of a immediate starting TE and WR. All our starters will be back and ready. Even if lightning struck twice, then we make adjustments then, not starve the rest of the team from growth due to the unlikely happening again. Ravens dont get many drafts if any like this one that go our way and they played the draft perfectly this yr

Any one besides me get irritated at the Scout's "Position Strengths and Weaknesses" pieces on everybody. I mean really, what did they say about every guy that became great in the NFL? to me its all the same stuff, hes so great...hes so great, followed by hes so terrible...hes so terrible. Not to mention that all those things mean nothing for the most part when it comes to the Ravens because we make avg players Great and Great ones into HOFers.
