  1. Jonas Gray would be a good pick up. He may even be able to run back kicks.
  2. Jeremy Ross?
  3. Jacoby Ford was released by the Titans he has return experience, interesting they also released WR Tre McBride a draft name the Ravens had on their watch. Dont know what kind of camp they had? Im sure Oz is looking at all options.
  4. you dont rush a 4:20 timed WR back to the field. This guy needs to be 100% before taking the field. WE must wait, once he is healthy then let the cat lose! If he cant make it..then Oz and the team made a big mistake. Lets give him a chance first. We look pretty darn good going into this season. Cool Joe at his peak, O-line is intact, a good running back, 6 WR and 3 strong TE.Defense is much healthier than rntering last year. Time to beat Denver right out of the gate!
  5. I expect Oz to pick up a diamond in the rough. Is Easton staying with the team, i heard he is being traded. Somewhere there will be a spot open. It would be nice to pick up a speedster with punt and kick return ability. Maybe a running back, CB or WR.
  6. So, you dont think that Joe, Steve Sr, Justin F, Crokett, Max W, AIkin, Juzczek, are threats?? The loss of Torry is the only difference on this years offense; with Waller and Brown to step up...this is what must be expected. Perriman is the only let down. 11-5 should work Time to take the division
  7. Asa had a few shining moments in the secondary during the pre-season. I believe he is maturing and his tackling looks to have improved. I just don't see any decent 5th CB options that show as much promise. There is always a risk when looking at low budget, young, speedy. multiple position player and fumbles will make his job short if they happen during the season.
  8. Asa makes the team. however if he makes 2 fumbles in regular season he is gone...The Ravens will have players to choose form once the other teams get down to 53. I expect them to give Asa his chance in the "real" game play. Its a risk but no more than any other at this point in the scheme of things. Jacoby had fumbles too!
  9. JAh Ried on the blind side...????!!!!! I dont think so! He couldnt handel the #1's on the other side of the ball!!! Flacco could get killed!
  10. Trestman's play game may change a sliver, but this team is about multiple weapons. Keep the same plan by sending the #2 WR deep and draw off the safety. Joe needs to work the field and burn up clock. A deep threat is not only about speed it is about deception, technique and ability. Many "deep threat" WR have worse than 4.4 Speed, now and in the past. We need our Tight ends to step up! We need to run the ball 50%, so that leaves Joe with percentages of 5-10% on passes deeper than 25yds and about 2 passes per game 40yds or more. Lastly how do we even know if Brashad is going to handle the catches in the NFL - Game speed- not but 4 months ago the talk was his "hands". He will need time to get going..I am prepared to see the Ravens start the season without him, and I expect very good results!
  11. The Ravens will protect the young Perriman. They have done this in the past and this is the type of organization the Ravens are. He has an injury, lets let him get healthy and then return. Once that happens, then decide on the long term. We have 5 other young receivers, all high caliber, I say give them the chance to prove what they can do on game day. This is where we will find out what kind of team we have. One player does not determine the season. Depth, determination and playing like a Raven is what will get us to the "big dance" !
  12. taken form an article- Reserve/PUP (regular season PUP list). Any player starting on the Active PUP list (and has not practiced) with the team becomes eligible for the Reserve/PUP at the end of training camp. Once a player practices during training camp, all PUP list options are off the table. So i have validated your point that a player cannot be put on the PUP list to start the season if he has practiced even one day. just a note: the term PUP can be used during the season describing a player who will not be active for the game thus as being PUP ( physically unable to perform) however this is totally different than the PUP list and rules at the beginning of the season for roster purposes. It may be possible to start Perriman on the IR / intent to return, this is available to one player per team.
  13. Actually you are the only one who has said this...and only once before. So you are saying that a player cannot go on the PUP list during training camp? that doesnt make sense, however I will check with other reliable sources. I am not saying you are or are not reliable. I want additional information. later.
  14. Some one said Perriman is not eligible for PUP...why not. If you get hurt you go on PUP....I believ that if a player is put on the PUP before the season then he would not be able to return until after 6 games. Anyone else?
  15. cannot se Carter be picked over Butler or Waller as far as WR. SO he is battling Campinaro for the spot. If Camp can go....I just dont see Carter making this team unless the Defense will go with 24. Harbaugh is pretty consistent...25 Offens, 25 Defense, Tucker, Koch and Cox
  16. Carter is not worth giving up a WR spot for! WE need Jackson and Campinaron to return. The WR core is going to need SR, Aiken, Brown Campinaro, Butler and Waller. Then when Perriman is ready it looks like either Butler or Waller steps out. Carter is out unless we go with 1 less on Defense.
  17. Sleepers..... Darren Waller, Buck Allen, John Urshel and NIck Boyle. All need to make this team regardless of who is picked for 2nd team! If Perriman PUP's it will give the team to evaluate the bottom 3 recievers. I say Bole and Allen are the 3rd stringers that make this team. Urshael should be a given and Waller makes the team especially if Perriman is not ready to go.
  18. PUP him for Game 7!!! dont risk it. we will need him for the playoff run
  19. TJ is the man of the hour. Lets keep him fresh and rotate the line. No reason to wear him out. I say no more than the first half. I would like to to see Brent Urban and Carl Davis on each side of Brandon for a few plays....talk about versatility!
  20. I think Johnson and Brown will see a lot of work on the OL this week. But neither is expected to make the team unless an injury were to dictate. KO will likely sit out. Wagner , Myers and Urschel will see limited time. Jah Reid needs to show us a lot today!! He is very fortunate to have a job...its time to play like a Raven!
  21. Agreed TX...what my point is about. The Ravens can cover Perriman for the first 6 weeks. There is no reason to use a roster spot when he would get limited playing time anyway. A PUP would allow another roster spot available to look at the remaining 6 WR. We dont know enough about any of them yet to decide greatness. I say take the time with this injury. 2-8 weeks is very possible. so far its been 2 weeks. The Ravens need to focus on ALL the weapons and not use up a spot for a rookie that will play as a 3rd reciever at most now that he is loosing practice time.
  22. Yes, understood. First off, he is not getting any practice time. his replacement Waller is doing absolutely incredible and so are the other receivers. To allow the others to participate and get ready only to give up a spot on the roster is a BIG mistake! its either he practices or not. 2 preseason games is a lot to miss for a rookie. I just don't see the rush. Patience is correct
  23. I see Perriman getting closer and closer to the PUP. If he cant practice there is no reason to consider him on the roster. The Ravens can field a very good WR corps without him. I expect them to make a decision about that soon and get ready for the start of the season without him. Waller, Aiken, Campenaro, Sr., Brown, Butler and Carter can handle it until game 7. Get the kid 100% ready. rushing it would be a mistake. Lets use him as a weapon in the playoffs when its needed.
  24. Brooks decision surprises me, He may be an opt out for the Ravens for the first 6 games. looks like they plan on some options....watch for a late, veteran, cap casualty signing.
