  1. I hate always sounding like I am defending Flacco as if he can do no wrong, that's incorrect. Flacco still has plenty to work on, but as it pertain to Big Ben and his regular season stats?

Need I remind you who was catching passes for him or no? Emmanuel Sanders, a younger Mike Wallace, and Antonio Brown. and now they have Bryant. Combine that with Bell who is the best RB in the league who can catch?? Antonio is ANOTHER top 5 WR in this league by the way. and even with all those weapons his post season success has not been as good as Flacco SINCE Half Cup Joe entered the league.

I'm a supporter of Flacco, but those stats are deceiving. Those two TDs were set up because of our special teams, since you mentioned they lost the game for us. And he threw 52 times, he better break 300.

Bradys 400 was deceiving because of 1 blown coverage play, otherwise we did a great job on him.....the how is irrelevant. I can not fault a team for taking advantage of a situation, it is what you are suppose to do. Flacco and company did not do a good enough job moving the ball down the field, every nice gain on the ground felt like it was negated by a holding call, how many times did they force Flacco into a 2nd and long or 3rd and long thanks to holding calls?

Special teams did what they were suppose to do, and injected life into Flacco and the offense and they took advantage.

  3. Big Ben is nice during the regular season, but don't kid yourself thinking he played a massive role during their superbowl runs....He was fortunate to play with a great defense and a great running game.....Look up his stats for the playoffs and superbowl games. I am taking Joe during the playoffs

It's almost as if the Flacco critics come to their conclusions without considering the variables, without analyzing each actual individual play, and in this case without even looking at the play-by-play or the stats.

On the last 2 drives of the game, Flacco was 12/13 for 131 yards.  That's more than a 92% completion percentage and over 10 yards per attempt.  There were some checkdowns, yes, when the coverage was suffocating and they were getting pressure.  Of course, there were also 3 deep completions.  And the two third down stops that they got, forcing field goals instead of touchdowns, were:

2nd to last drive: The now much-discussed Ninkovich sack that was totally not Flacco's fault (4 completely unblocked Patriots pass rushers when it was a 6-man rush vs 6-man protection, and all 4 receivers were blanketed by a defender + a safety over the top, and the sack occurred in under 2.5 seconds).

    ...and...

The final drive: Pitta runs "to the sticks",Flacco finds him and hits him in stride near the sideline, Pitta catches it.  But he gets tackled immediately, IN BOUNDS, and they don't spot him at the mark to make (iffy, in my opinion, but perhaps the right call).  I don't see how this is Flacco's fault.  Pitta's going to the sticks and the sideline, that's the right throw, he made the throw, he got the completion, but Pitta doesn't get to the sticks or out of bounds, a crucial error.

Flacco was on the money on those drives.  There were also some pre-snap penalties he had to overcome, and did.

not to mention, the Pats only sent 3 to 4 guys at a time....it was ALL coverage and they dared us to run and we could not

NO, I wish Joe played with that same passion as Tom does just like I said and its not for my own peace of mind, I think it would really benefit the team. you would have thought Brady was playing a playoff game yesterday with the passion he showed.

I think the word you are looking for is animated. You want him to be as animated

  6. The only thing I wanted to see in this game was Flacco play better and the play calling take advantage of what the defense was giving us. Flacco did not look like regular Joe that we are use to yesterday , he looked like January Joe out there going through his reads very efficiently and making the correct plays...on top of that his awareness in the pocket was high...that man was playing with a mission and was a lot more animated then we have grown use to...

I am happy with the effort the offense showed in the 2nd half not trying to lay conservative, we did not need to run the ball because they could not stop Flacco and the offense...Some big penalties cost us more points possibly but I'll take it.

Perriman? That 4.2 speed seems to be translating very well on the field. That foot race wasn't even close, that's 3TDS in 4 games now. He is starting to heat up and will see more and more touches....Dixon is going to be the future for us at RB, and believe me I have been bummed out since week 6 because I really felt that we should have drafted Jay Ajayi 2 years ago.....Dixon kind of makes me feel better about it, we will see.

Defense keeps on playing well and the message to the doubters? Tavon Young is going to be one HELL of a CB for us for years along side Jimmy Smith....Orr leads in tackles. Fun game to watch and finally have something very positive to build off.

I honestly saw no difference in Joe Flacco. He was no more or less vocal. When things go as well as they did today you'll always see guys laughing and having a good time on the sideline.

The difference in Flacco was his awareness and how quickly he was going through his reads....he liked much, MUCH better in the pocket then he has all year. Not only did the offensive line protect him, he himself has been more mobile lately...He looked like January Joe out there.

I am very happy we kept up the pace and played to our strengths

I am glad you think you can redefine what a word means, but that is not the correct or full definition of the word "profanity."

In case you are wondering, the definition includes obscene/obscenity which I believe is the language your website uses to define what is banned here. Four letter words are considered obscene by most people. They are so "obscene" by the measurement of this website that you can't even shorten or try to edit out a four letter word to get by the language filter. So yeah, the word you chose to use is profanity, it is obscene, it is a four letter word, and it should not be used. You as a moderator should set a higher standard. That's my personal belief and you can choose to agree with it or not. If you want to keep dancing around your own site's standards that's up to you.

dude seriously? do the posts need to be THAT soft? come on

  9. I think we need to go back to the no huddle, pre-superbowl. Flacco and Cam C tried to hurry the game up a bit and it seemed to be working, GRANTED we had a guy in the backfield he REALLY REALLY did things outside the X and O's that allowed certain types of play calls to work.

All of the sudden our offense has looked really fun to watch when they allow Flacco to do what HE likes, shotgun and no huddle.

  10. We have not been playing disciplined football, we are killing ourselves more often then not with constant calls.....to me that was the difference, everything else looked fine to me vs the Cowboys....we moved the ball well but it seemed like after some big plays the offense would find a way to shoot itself with a call, especially the offensive line.

I don't know how calling for a new OC when we had over 120 yards in penalties is going to help.....youre going to have a difficult time winning after big play after big play is negated by a call when you were trying to get some momentum

Hahahahaha. I would take SSS, Wallace, Pitta and Perriman anyday over Boldin, Torrey, Pitta and Jacoby. Don't tell me we don't have the personnel to be better than that offense because that just is not true.

    you are forgetting Ray Rice......
